Funny Block Initiative anecdote from GMing my most recent PbP:

• Enemies ambush party
• Player 1 acts in Surprise Round
• Player 1 rolls highest Initiative
• Enemies roll higher than Players 2-6
• Player 1 attacks in Surprise Round
• Enemies attack in Surprise Round
• Player 1 attacks in Round 1
• Enemies attack in Round 1
• Players 2-6 get to act in Round 1
• Player 1 also gets to act in Round 2
• Player 1 happens to post before anyone else

So Player 1 got to essentially perform three rounds of actions before anyone else could react.

Goose looks at the last rod to be disabled and then to the robot. Seeing the task is mostly finished, the need to disable the robot wins out. The operative quietly and stealthily lines up a shot to lower the robot's defenses, using the distractions of his teammates, and fires!

Trick shot on robot: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (8) + 23 = 31

Success up to Lvl 11. Flat-footed for everyone until next round.

Shot on robot: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 vs. Flat-footed KAC

Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 3d8 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (2, 8, 8) = 26

Not that it matters often, but when you use Stealth to make a trick attack, you gain a +1 bonus to the skill check.

Dang it! You are right. I keep forgetting to actually add in the +1 bonus for ghost trick attack. I don't put it on my my sheet as it doesn't count with the normal use of the skill.

Just different.

I ran low-tier, with mostly level 3s, but there was a Level 6 technomancer playing out-of-tier that rocked most of the skill checks just by Taking 10.

They didn't care about the cameras, so they failed at that objective, which I think you check a box during reporting for.

During the final fight, I split the party by closing the blast doors on them, but it was otherwise a cake walk. The low-tier bot isn't much of a threat.

They avoided the incinerator. I was curious whether this group would fall for it. It can be REALLY deadly if mishandled.

So, just different.

I was a bit disappointed you avoided the incinerator trap. It was in that long hallway you didn't go into at the end. It was one of the more deadly traps I have read in Starfinder, though you guys have the engineering that it wouldn't of really put you in danger.

When I read this adventure, I didn't realize how slow of a start the bunker was if you found the secret door. There was a lot of empty rooms in row there.

I do look forward to running the next adventure in this story soon.

I have never won a boon from a con, just the one you get for GMing at one.

Angrid, you won the boon "Mystical Guidance System". For gunnery, someone on your ship can use mysticism and wisdom instead of piloting and dex.

Now that is a nice one if you have a mystic!

Will, I still need the chronicle info before I can finish yours. I have the info to fill out the top stuff but I need your starting xp, your starting gold, starting fame, purchases, starting rep. I think that covers the info I am missing.

I have noticed something wrong with all the chronicles though. For some reason, my "strikethrough" is not appearing on the finished sheets. The first boon is supposed to be crosses out since you disabled the cameras (it is likely going to be a penalty in a future adventure, not a buff). I will need to edit that but I can only edit 3 and hour due to using a free pdf editor. I will work on getting them fixed ASAP.

The game will be reported shortly as well.

I am going to make a final gameplay post just because if you asked the venture captain about the missing faction leader, she gives some extra info and I want you to get the full hook for an upcoming adventure.

Thanks for playing everyone! It was a good group who made my enemies look like chumps and skill checks look easy haha
