I still have not been given this adventure yet, but I will keep you all updated. Glad to see some you popping with your info. Unless something changes, it looks like we will be playing this on high tier.
It turns out that Ak (another player signed up for this game who hasn't dotted in yet) and Mon "Goose" Tavvi have the same avatar photo. I will let you guys figure out who will change their photo.
Thanks again! I am excited to get this started!

LoreMaster GM |

Thanks Mon "Goose" Tavvi.
Side note- Has anyone played 1-07 Solar Sortie and/or 1-14 Star Sugar Heartlove!!!? Ak has played 1-07.
A word of warning, this adventure contains spoilers for both the above mentioned adventures. If anyone is interested, I think I will run 1-14 Star Sugar Heartlove!!! as my next adventure. I didn't know till now that this one was related to that one.

![]() |

Goose has played Solar Sortie (1-07). He has not played 1-14 and will be 7th level after this adventure, which makes him ineligible for 1-14...

LoreMaster GM |

I wish they made it more about what adventures are related to what. Well if no one has played 1-14 on this character, I will try to keep spoilers to the minimum. I always open up sign-ups for my next game early for my current table, even if you wanted to play a different character for it. I will give more details as we draw this one to a close!
This one will be interesting because I have never played a table with such a mix up of levels. We have a level 3 a level 4 a level 5 and three level 6s. Also, this is the highest level adventure that I have run in starfinder.

![]() |

I've played 1-14 but not on this character. depending on our start date I may have a lvl 4 solarian who has played 1-14 though.

LoreMaster GM |

This game set to start March 11 (9 days from now). Though it may be a bit of slow start because that happens to be right in the middle of my spring break and I am traveling home for it. I fine which ever character you go with. That change wouldn't change the APL so we would still be high tier so go with which ever character you would have the most fun with.
This adventure is directly after the events of 1-14. There is a part of the adventure where it becomes relevant if you have played 1-14. It really is up to you or not as not having someone in the group who has played will not break the scenario or anything.

Sorry folks. Was and will continue to be a busy weekend. Driving back home tomorrow and then I will be on a steady posting stream. I plan to put a post up moving us to the base tomorrow.

LoreMaster GM |

I put you guys on there is a random order. Feel free to arrange yourself in any way you want. Also, I apologize for the size of the grid on this map. Everything is so tiny.
William Thomas Riker, can you please add an avatar image? If you need help doing that, feel free to ask or PM me and I will gladly walk you through the process. I need something to use as a pawn on the map. Also can you please post your chronicle info in this tab.

![]() |

if we can, I'd prefer to be in the front. I'm kinda built to rush into melee as quickly as possible.

![]() |

To be clear - I, the player, am definitely *not* exasperated with our impetuous half-orc; Will was just a bit surprised, but is more than happy to take is as carte blanche to ignore stealth ;-)

Ak, I think your post was meant for the gameplay tab.
Just because this a rule that I just learned about that I have played wrong before I would like to explain how traps work in starfinder. This does not necessarily mean there are traps in this adventure... but it is an explanation that I think would be fair and help spread the little known rules of the game to more people.
You do NOT get a passive check to find traps in starfinder. When you encounter a trap, if you are not searching for a trap, you will just trigger it with no check. The rules are semi-vague about detecting traps. It says that it is a move action to search for "nearby traps or hazards." It then goes on to mention it takes 1 minute to search an area no more than 20 feet by 20 feet (or smaller, if the GM rules the area is particularly cluttered or complex).
Because of this, I will rule that is a move action to search a 5ft square (or specific object) and 1 minute to search a 20x20 area (unless I specify otherwise).
Feel free to ask any questions here. As I mentioned before, this was new information to me and wanted to make sure expectations were clear, this does not mean that there will be traps in this particular adventure (this will be posted in all my games and in my GM profile).

Figure I should let everyone know as its imminent:
My wife and I are expecting our first child any day now and will be induced in 10 days if she doesn't pop by then. Either I will post when we head to the hospital to let you know or i'll text Angrid to let everyone know.
that being said I've left some botting instructions in my profile and hopefully wont be sidelined for more than a day or 2!

![]() |

Hey folks. Sorry for the sporadic posting.
On spring break vacation with the family and finding a harder than normal time to get on my computer! :p

LoreMaster GM |

Congrats! Thanks for the warning and when it is happening, this game should be the last thing on your mind! We will understand.
I get it Mon, I was on spring break last week and traveled home. No problem at all.

![]() |

In that same vein, I'll be at a real life con this coming weekend, so my posting may become spotty from Friday afternoon EST until Monday.

LoreMaster GM |

This is my first adventure where traps seem to be a common theme. I am more than willing to accept feedback on how I am working things and I promise not to take disagreements personally. It is important to me that I am running fairly for my player so if you feel something is wrong or could be done better, I will gladly listen to what you have to say.
You can either do it here in the discussion tab or in a PM.

LoreMaster GM |

I think the fastest and simplest way to make a decision as a group to either search the room or not and if you want to normal search or take 20. Then decide who your searchers are and if the others are following behind or staying back. Once that is decided, we will use that as the standard way of moving forward unless you say otherwise. Does this make sense?
**EDIT** If that is how we move forward, I would make the perception rolls for you.

![]() |

That seems fair. Given the time limit of the serum, we'll probably stick to mostly normal searches, with the two highest Perception PCs in front, followed by the solarian.

LoreMaster GM |

Once I get someone to second a plan, I will move forward with it.
In your idea Reynold, would the rest of the group follow Chuck or wait where it is safe?

LoreMaster GM |

So Angrid's search tactics would be Will taking 10 and search the whole room with an auto aid from Angrid and the marching order to look like this while searing?
Angrid / Riker
Reynold /Chuck
AK / Goose
Just want to make sure I have it down correctly. If this strategy gets a seconded vote, I will move us forward using this plan. (Do you or someone in the group own a broad-spectrum scanning kit or are you proposing we buy one?)

![]() |

That marching order sounds good and tactic sounds good to me, Chuck will happily take the targeting computer as well.

LoreMaster GM |

I will take that as a seconded and will move forward using Angrid's plan! Post will be coming up in a bit.

LoreMaster GM |

It's probably because the pawns are so tiny. I will set it as a background now.
**EDIT** The slide is updated to have the map set as a background

![]() |

Baby is out and healthy and home! she was kind enough to come on a Friday and not mess up my PbP too much haha.
Chuck will take the minor z-boson crystal for sure, but might as well hold onto to the other in case anyone else has a reason to want it.

LoreMaster GM |

The night really got away from me and now it is late and I am exhausted. When I post in this state, the post is full of typos. I promise to get one up tomorrow morning. I am really sorry for the delay.
