Against the Aeon Throne -- Campaign Mode, SFS credit
The Adventure
Against the Aeon Throne starts out with all the characters at level one, and ends with everyone at level 6. It’s a heroic adventure with a distinctly Star Wars feel. You’ll be a thorn in the side of an evil empire!
Hired to transport supplies to a fog-shrouded world in the Vast, the heroes discover that a small military force from the Azlanti Star Empire has invaded and occupied the Pact Worlds colony there. The heroes must liberate the settlement from its merciless oppressors, but when they do, they learn that the Azlanti have taken both an experimental starship drive discovered on the planet and one of the colonists—an old friend of the heroes—back to the Star Empire!

About me as a GM
I’m an experienced Play-by-Post and Starfinder Society GM. I tend to GM one game at a time, and give it my all. As a GM, I am fast-paced and story-oriented. I reward both enthusiasm and roleplay, and love to share adventures with my players.
What can you expect from a GM Hmm game? Teamwork. Laughter. Discovery. Roleplay. Sound effects. Filks. Whimsy! I hope that you'll have a good time, get a chance to bring out your character's quirks, have good chemistry with your teammates and a chance for self-discovery.
★ --- ★ --- ★ --- ★
About this Campaign
I intend this to be a fairly fast-moving Play-by-Post, averaging 2-3 posts a day. My hope is that we will get through the entire 3-volume adventure path and have a lot of fun along the way. We’ll be doing this campaign mode, meaning that your chronicle sheets will be applied to actual Starfinder Society characters, but that there is a little more freedom for me in how the campaign is structured. There is also a little more freedom for you in creating your Campaign mode characters.

About this Campaign Recruitment
I am not taking the first six to apply. I am going to be looking for an interesting, balanced group who wants to roleplay and who embraces the Starfinder setting. In order to achieve that balance, it’s likely that I’m going to have to reject some excellent candidates. Please do not take this personally!
Factors that make you a stronger candidate:
Ace Pilot:
Bounty Hunter:
Icon:
Mercenary:
Outlaw:
Priest:
Scholar:
Spacefarer (or Abadar Corporate Agent):
Xenoseeker:
Themeless (or Other Theme):
Special for Starfinder Society Characters:

CHARACTER CREATION
All characters should be 1st level, built according to the rules in the Starfinder CRB. Playtest is over, but this is campaign mode. If you have an idea for a Playtest class character, I'll consider it.
I normally request that campaign mode characters be 1st level clones of the Starfinder Society characters to which you will be applying credit, and I still enjoy seeing characters that have played a couple times already and have a strong sense of who they are. It’s also less work for you if your character is already built and going out on Starfinder missions.
There are some advantages in this campaign to at least looking human. However, if you have a vibrant idea for a character of a race not currently allowed in Starfinder Society, feel free to submit it. I will tell you straight up that Azlanti subject races will be a hard sell -- but if you have an amazing idea for a character from an escaped Azlanti slave race, by all means share it. I will not be impressed by strange races selected solely for mechanical advantage.
All races should be from Paizo Products, with one possible exception. I will also consider characters from one third party product, the Xaursi. Why this one product from Rogue Genius Games? Because I wrote it, and this is my one chance to see one of my glow-in-the dark owls in play. Since they are clearly from somewhere in the Vast, any Xaursi candidates should have some background explaining how you made it to Absalom Station.
I will be closing Recruitment on February 1st, 2019 at 10pm Central Standard Time

Why do you want to do this campaign?
Azlanti lore in Starfinder is curious to me and this seems like it could be a prefect campaign for a spy character. None of the other Starfinder campaigns really seem that a spy based character would fit well. Also, word has it you are a phenomenal GM...
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
I am an avid php'er that loves to bring flavorful characters to the table. Flavor > Power
This is was particularly fun scenario for me. I am Uzziah here. Admittedly, I found out how to have both flavor and power.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
2-3 per day is great for me, and yes.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
Absolutely to everything.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
I wish to play the game more than just 'win' it.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
This can be 4-8 sentences of backstory, explaining who you are and where you came from.
Akiton was hit hard by starship developments throughout the galaxy. Since it fell to the wayside, crime moved in. Pon was born and raised in an area constantly fought over by two large criminal groups in Maro. It was this aspect that truly grew Pon into the grifter he is today. Luckily, Pon was at the right place at the right time (though he didn't think so at the time) when the Stewards came in and raided the gang hideout he was at. Because he was so young, a steward took pity on him and secreted him out of the raid if he swore to work to become a steward and make the Pact a safer place. Seeing an opportunity to get off of Akiton, Pon readily agreed. He was first sent to the Idari for the beginning of his training (they actually wanted to just calm him down). After that he got actually trained on Absalom Station.
The actual Pon is very serious and objective oriented. Though he has some sociopathic tendencies, he believes in the value of all life and people's general right to live in safety. That said, he has zero problems lying or manipulating to get to his goals or assignments. As for ambitions, he doesn't have any except to get better. His life is infinitely better since he left Akiton, so he's pretty happy.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Pon can fill any starship role, though some better than others.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Lie, cheat, and steal for the greater good. Also, anything necessary to make his current identity more believable.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Probably trick attack. I didn't necessarily gear this character for combat admittedly.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
You had a mission job that seemed to have gone bust, as your target had slipped away to another planet without leaving behind any clues. You were about to admit defeat when Cedona contacted you with some information—your target's location. You apprehended your target and completed your mission without any difficulties. Cedona has provided you with unexpected but useful information from time to time ever since, and the two of you have become friends, although she hasn't ever revealed her information sources.
Pon had just finished a mission on Eox and was told to take a vacation. So he looked up Cedona and decided to vacation a little while on Nakondis and help out Cedona with the settlement efforts.

Thanks for submitting your application, Saashaa! If you get stuck for a name, maybe try a translation of the word 'question' in another language.

After doing some more reading on Akiton, the character's name is Pon. He's from an impoverished place, I figure his name will be short and simple. Also, he is an Akitonian native, but most of his ancestry come from off world, so his skin is tinted slightly and probably looks like a solid tan more than anything.

Why do you want to do this campaign?
I enjoy playing starfinder, I havent had a chance to play this AP as yet and you have a reputation as an excellent GM.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure?
I have played most of the SFS scenarios so far and a chunk of Dead Suns. Most of my PbP experience has been with PFS so far and I have played sevefal dozen different games. I have played a couple of SRS scenarios in PbP recently and enjoyed them a lot. Favourite prior adventure is difficult, I have had so many excellent PbP games on here.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life?
Yes, I have very flexible working hours.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler?
Yes and Yes
Would you be willing to help bot others?
Yes if necessary although I prefer to do so only when there is a clear botting direction and preferably not in a life or death situation.
Do you promise to let us know if you’re super busy so we can bot you?
Of course
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Most people think of Castrovel as a jungle paradise or hellhole. Few see the slums and back alleys of its major cities, same as anywhere else I suppose. I grew up on the streets of Qabarat longing for the stars. I wanted to fly, to explore, to travel, but for that you need money. When you are down and out and living on the streets there's only one way to do that, so I joined a gang, the Shadow Cats. We were smugglers, exotic pets for bored execs, dangerous plant life to act as guards, weapons, drugs, whatever would make us money. I almost had enough to get to Absalom Station when we were raided. I barely escaped with my life and as I did I saw Damoro, that damned Vesk fence grinning at me from one of the police cars.
I stowed away on a Shirren cargo vessel heading to Absalom Station. I got caught of course but managed to sweet talk my way into working for my passage. Since then I've travelled, a lot. Each new birth brings a new job, I've been a cook, a counsellor, a translator, a pilot, whatever will get me to the next system, the next experience. The Pact Worlds are huge, so many places to visit but the Vast, the possibilities are endless. My past still haunts me, everywhere I go I keep one eye watching over my shoulder, waiting for a bounty hunter, cop or other official to call my name and level a pistol at me.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Nevari generally prefers to take the Captains chair during combat but she can fire a gun reasonably well. She has no ability with machinery or computers so leaves all tht complicated stuff to people better used to it.
What are your favorite things to do?
Nevari loves to travel and to visit new places and meet new people. She is genuinely interested in other people but cannot stand cruelty, snobbishness or laziness. People need to stand on their own two (or more) feet but often they need a bit of help to take that first step. She loves to listen to the stories of other people and cultures and keeps a collection of recordings she plans to release one day, not under her own name of course.
What shenanigans do you like to do in combat?
Nevari prefers to talk rather than fight. Some impolite people have in the past called her a bloody con woman, thief and liar. That isn't true of course. If a fight cannot be avoided she prefers to keep at range and she knows how to use her trusty hunting rifle. She also inspires her allies to continue to fight.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
She met Cedona when escaping Castrovel. She was the one who provided her with the forged papers to get off the planet. Nevari (her most recent identity) has changed names and papers several times since then, each time Cedona has helped her do so. She is travelling to Nakondis because she hasnt been there before. It may be a backwater but that doesn't mean its people are uninteresting. She is also curious about just why Cedona has been willing to help her.

Because I found the Morphic Skin, I think Pon will be a true native of Akiton with deep red skin. Though, it is not visible as he constantly has his morphic skin shifted to the normal human skin color.
I'm pretty stoked about this character. It is coming together better than I originally anticipated it would.

I definitely like the idea of playing in a fast paced HMM-run romp through an AP! I'll have to think about a character to present. In the mean time, here's the 'trailer' that Paizo put together for this AP. Its no substitute for a Player's Guide, but its a pretty neat intro.

Why do you want to do this campaign?
Starfinder is something I genuinely enjoy, but do not get enough chances to play. At conventions I am usually running games, and at Local play I have become much more limited on availability. Play-By-Post will make it a lot easier to participate.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
Favorite Starfinder moment was playing the 1-99 Scoured Star Invasion special with my Mystic's Mystical Guidance Weapon System. The Badass Duhm Kaoh was now a threat in the gunseat and wasn't a star shaman, allowing me to flesh out a character who needed some sweet upgrades for Starship Combat.

You know me well enough, lol!
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Experimental Corpse Fleet projects were developing unique drug-like serums that would create painful effects on the living. The project called "RUSH VIRUS" was implemented on a sea-based life form to implement being able to cause deadly infections in deep water. The test subject was experimented on, but never allowed to die by use of a vitals AI known as LINGSton. LINGSton and the experimental Wrikreechee eventually became friends due to the nature of their bond; if the Wrikreechee died, then so did LINGSton.
Eventually an Exo-Guardian Starfinder group came across the Compound and were able to perform a successful raid, destroying most of the experimental serums. They rescued all of the victims they could, which included the Wrikreechee. The issue was he couldn't remember his name, nor present great communication skills aside from broken and fragmented speech; as such they named him Rush after the documents and a failed linguistics check. LINGSton is still linked to Rush and hopes to find a means to restoring his broken and fragmented mind.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Rush is able to perform Engineering, and will eventually be a substantial gunner due to his Archetype.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Rush seems to have a fascination with metal, and trying to create strange art with it. No one is certain as to why, and it must be linked to his past.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Rush will move into combat to provide benefits to his ranged companions. Usually he will rely on cover and his augmented weaponry from the Corpse Fleet experiments to be a considerable melee threat.
If ranged tactics are needed, LINGSton is able to provide Rush with some targeting abilities for shooting a Needler Rifle.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Cedona was the individual who commissioned the raid on the Corpse Fleet compound, and was one of the first individuals that Rush and LING met. She took sympathy to their dilemma, and offered help if it were within her ability to do so.
Recently she contacted Rush and LING to meet with her for some optimistic news.

I'm in the process of making my character, Weoren Redgauntlet, a Nuar Exocortex Mechanic, though I'm struggling to pick out some basics, namely theme: Ace Pilot for flying the ship, or Roboticist if there's someone else looking to be the Pilot...
Also, how do I know what my "day job" is for stuff or fame? This is my first "Organized Play" character, so I don't know everything what I'm doing.
Also, hi Cellion! They're the GM in the Dead Suns game I'm in! :D

Why do you want to do this campaign?
Starfinder is a system that i have not had the full privoledge of endulging in since it's release. I love the lore for the system, and would really love to learn more about what happened to the Azlanti Empire after the gap.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
Starfinder, i have played basically half of the society adventures online either by PbP or Roll20. I have also played through the Dead Suns AP all the way untill end of Book 5. My PbP experience with Starfinder has been the specials that we had done with Gameday VII. A stand out here would have been SFS 1-99 The Scoured Stars Invasion. I played my Solarion and i really enjoyed the roleplay aspect of the game and story! I have recently gotten into GMing for PbP as of the start of 2019. I am looking to really develop my skill both as a GM and a played for PbP on these forums.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
I live in Australia so posting means im at odds usually with normal posting hours. That was just an FYI. However, i usually post first thing in the morning, during my lunches throughout the day, and then finally before bed.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
Yes, i think botting is a very mature and right way of moving the game along. And yes, i do have a botting spoiler.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
Like i said, i am Australian so posting is abit weird due to time difference. I do love the roleplay aspect of the game, and enjoy to describy my actions in detail. I think the more detail there is to a post, the easier it is to imagine and follow actions.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Nosro is not sure where he came from. He grew up on one of the agricultural moons of Absalom Station, with his foster family. It was hard work, but he gained the crutial skills of survival and how to fend for himself there. He was raised as a firm believer in freedom and equality, as those are the tenants of what makes for a good harvest at the end of the season. A good harvest, means good coin.
One day, Nosro recieved a package. Inside it, was an ancient weapon forged from old steel inside a red velvet cloth. It was lettered to him, however, with no more information about the sender or the purpouse of this weapon, he went out searching for answers. He felt a connection with the blade, that is for sure, but it had strange markins on it. Runes of the old world - runes of power from a Hellknight order lost to the ages. The only explanation could be that this belonged to his father. Hellknights are zealots, perfectly committed to the rule of law and the enforcement of consistent, stable systems. This was how he invisioned his father. And so he began training himself in swordsmanship, and in the old ways of runes.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Nosro makes for a good gunner and pilot, although he has rarely been on a ship before. He can also patch things up with engineering, learning some very important basics from his farm.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
He likes to study the old texts of magics and runes. He believes they hold and interesting power, which new technologies are not capable of replicating. He has a hard moral compass. He dislikes bullies and power hungry people. He wants to discover more about himself and who the sword belonged to. His strong devotion to Weydan puts him with a deaper ballance with all things justice and sacrifice.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
No stranger to danger, Nosro will move in first into melee with combatants, drawing their attention to him to allow his allies to gain the full benefit of co-ordinated shot. Teamwork is key!
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Cedona was a friend of a friend whom you tended through a difficult illness. Nosro has heard lately, that she might know something about an Order of Hellknights who have tension with an AbadarCorp colony somewhere in the Vast. Maybe she has some answers about who this longsword belonged to. And if not, then he will simply help out his friend.

Why do you want to do this campaign?
Honestly, I love Starfinder in general and want to play all the paizo published material. That's not a very satisfying answer though. The idea of the Azlant Empire moving off of Golarion to become the evil empire sounds very interesting. Also, Dalinar is trying to learn to be a good leader and putting him up against an evil empire sounds really fun.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP. I've been playing pbp for about 5 years now, here and on another site. I've played almost all of the Stafinder Society scenarios up to 1-18. My favorite adventure is probably this one. I played Sarangari.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
That is no prob.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
Sure
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
If you look at my post history you will see me looking for a non-pbp ap and stating that I don't like them. What I really dislike is them dying. This being a shorter path, and you having a good track record here, gives me faith that this will go the distance. So I am all aboard if chosen.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
This can be 4-8 sentences of backstory, explaining who you are and where you came from.
There is a longer backstory in my profile but 4-8 sentences:
Dalinar is spoiled prince, formerly anyway. He has decided to leave the comforts of home to learn how to be a better man than his parents could've ever taught him. Sometimes the petulant child in him shows itself but he doesn't like that part of himself. He wants to be a man his ancestors could be proud of.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Captain would be my best role but I could gun in a pinch.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Practicing diplomacy and secretly talking to the common folk back home.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Mostly slicing people with my ancestral weapon.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
A mix of the Icon and Starfinder suggestions. I met Cedona during Starfinder briefings. We talked about my plans to improve my home after ousting my father and she took an interest in my attempts to learn leadership. During some downtime with the Starfinders she asked me to come visit.
Is your full character sheet in your profile yet?
Yes.
Is there anything else about this character that you want me to know?
It's implied in the full backstory, but not explicitly spelled out, that Dalinar is the descendant of my Kingmaker character. That's my own little head cannon and I can back off on it if it's writing too much into the game's background.
This looks really cool, thanks for your consideration.

Thinking on it a bit more, I don’t think I would have the mental capacity to do this—I definitely could, but I’ve got to focus on school and I think this would be just a bit too much of a distraction, especially since I’m doing a Signal of Screams run in Campaign Mode at the moment. I want to, I really do, but I don’t think it would be wise for me at this time...

YOU AS A PLAYER:
Why do you want to do this campaign? I have never played or tried Starfinder but I think this AP is a good place to start. Sounds very gritty and serious to me.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP. I have a LOT of experience with PF, a lot of it with you Hmm. You can browse my current/previous campaigns to get an idea of my style.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent? I should be able to do that and yes I will inform you if/when RL intervenes.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others? Yes that is fine. I will include a spoiler. Sadly I don't feel comfortable botting other PCs since I am still learning the system.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player? Ummm...well...if you have any further questions about me you can always send me a PM he he.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions: Henry grew up as a orphaned young man in Absalom Station. He tried out for the Stewards and was accepted into that organization, before getting thrown out for violating their company rules. He drifted for a while, picking up various odd skills, including studying as an architect. He now works as a sell-sword trying to figure out what to do with his life.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
I think he is best suited to be a Gunner, though he could also be a good Pilot.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat? Watch the other player's backs usually, he he.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
He prefers to open with a volley with his pistol, before moving into melee range using his mobility to avoid getting surrounded and cut down.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again? You were Cedona's neighbor for a few months, and she was the only person in the neighborhood you really considered a friend. She had a pet named Cubber—a vulpine creature known as a squox (see Starfinder Alien Archive 2)—that she occasionally asked you to feed while she was away for work. You never learned what Cedona did professionally, but she seemed glad to retire from it. She was happy when she told you she'd been accepted to join an AbadarCorp colony on Nakondis, although it meant she'd have to find a new home for Cubber. It seems Henry was adopted by Cubber!

You as a player
Why do want to do this campaign?
I have really enjoyed science fiction and have wanted to play starfinder since it has came out but haven't had the opportunity to play pbp or f2f.
What is Your experience with PBP or Starfinder?
I haven't played starfinder yet but have a general understanding of the system. I have been trying to get more hands on experience with it but have been unlucky with it for the most part.
PBP is something that I recently started to try, as a longtime lurker on the forums. I finally decided to get in on the action and am hoping to get more experience as I like the role play aspect it affords. I do have experience with a long time commitment of a campaign as I have been playing F2F with a group of friends for the last 3 years.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
Yes I do, I am a full time college student so I post once my classes are over and find time to post after Noon most days.
[b]Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others? Yes,yes and Yes, making everyone wait on one person is inconveniencing everyone else.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
I really do enjoy the roleplay aspect of PBP and the way it allows interaction to occur with other players, I have no problem putting up posts multiple times a day to have a exchange. I do have some commitments that may come up due to real life responsibilities but I can always provide a week in advance heads up.
You as a character
Tell me about your characters background, personality, and ambitions:
Brass was a forced solider for a mercenary named Forge who worked for all sorts of people who had little morals. Brass did alot of things that he didn't enjoy but felt right in his programming, as he was programmed for war. A chance meeting with Cedona led to a upshift in his views that maybe their was a choice for him. After he gained his freedom he fled knowing his former employers/masters would come looking for him. His personality is one who is distrustful of organic people's and favor for synthetic life. Though he does have a distrust of organic allies he respects them and they do grow on him, even though he fears that one day he may have be returned to his former masters and have to end them.
He hopes to one day reunite his old team in the hopes that they can use their skills together to save other androids and take down the shadowy people who helped to ensure his slavery to Forge.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Brass is a accomplished pilot having flown in combat before and is a good gunner having had to defend his craft before.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Brass spends alot of time working on his gear as he knows from previous encounters that good gear can be the difference between life and death. He also likes to talk about what has happened since the android rebellion as he wishes to end android slavery one day, one android at a time. Having had countless hours to think brass likes to talk philosophy with people as he believes that the ability to think is what makes more than a robot.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Brass wants to rain down fire on his enemies to kill them with overwhelming force, he also likes to wear armor and would like to one day wield the powered armor he saw Forge sometime use.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Cedona happened to be attacking a base along with Brass and his team, Cedona worked to retrieve some information, while Brass's team was a wet work crew to make sure none of the bases personal got off planet. One day while working together they struck up a friendship and he told her about his situation and the hopelessness of it. She told him he has the choice to do whatever he wants. Inspiring him to think of freedom. He has hitched a ride to Nakondis to see her and to talk with her again about freedom and see if she will help him locate his old team to start their war against their old masters.

As a player yes. I manage/GM other tables so one player table is easy to add in to my rotations.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
Yes. I try to have my "bot" command pre writen
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
I enjoy the PbP because it allows me to take time and be more creative with my characters
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
This can be 4-8 sentences of backstory, explaining who you are and where you came from.
Minos is Nuar from the underside of Absalom station. He was a runt and is very small for his race, but still imposing for most. He is very contemplative and looks for patterns and "the connected-ness of all things." He early years found him working with the Ysoki of Absalom station. Safely leading their scavenging groups in the the more twisted areas of the station. Later on he found himself out in the disporia helping the "freelance miners" locate valuable prospects. His knack for always "knowing the way" has made him a small bit of reputation as guide even for places he has little familiarity with.
"I don't always end up where I plan to be, but I end up where I need to be."
Think James Burke crossed with Dirk Gently with a little Indiana Jones for seasoning.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
His skills of "finding the path" usually put him in the pilot's seat or Navigation/Science officer. But his general knack for all things technical makes him useful in other roles.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Minos will wander. Sometimes this could be in his own head as he contemplates how two seeming unconnected things are actually inseparably linked. This is especially true with he finds a strange object. He will spend many hours contemplating it and studying it.
Sometime he will physically go out. Not with the idea of discovery, but just to travel and "find the connections"
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Minos sees combat as board with many pieces. Each connected in their own way. It isn't his goal to be "the hero" but make sure "the best solution is found."
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Minos worked once with Cedona on a looking at a tomb on Apostae. His ability to navigate the forgoten lore there, impressed Cedona enough the he was asked to investigate the find on Nakondis.

YOU AS A PLAYER:
Why do you want to do this campaign?
I have been eager to get into more Starfinder play-by-posts, especially the APs, as I'm only in two at the moment, and only one is an AP. I feel like I missed out on a lot of awesome RP experiences in Pathfinder because I got in later, and I don't want to miss those opportunities in Starfinder so I want to get in on the ground floor!
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
I am in a number of play-by-posts on these very boards that have been going for a few years, mostly for Paizo's various APs. In fact, play--by-post is how I do most of my tabletop gaming, since my busy schedule can accommodate it more easily.
The most relevant one would likely be the Dead Suns play-by-post run by Cellion. I play in it as Arcalinte Soter. We completed the first book of the AP are in the middle of the second one. I also am in a play-by-post called Fragments of the First run by Simeon, where I play as Bonar "Bravo" Vizetelly.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
Absolutely. I check the boards here multiple times each day, and try to post to keep things flowing if it looks like things are slowing down and to show I'm paying attention (though I try to avoid posting until someone else has posted after my previous post, to avoid spamming the forum). I will also make the group aware of any foreseeable absences I will have, though I most likely will still have my phone and be able to make basic posts in spare time. I don't like using such a method for long-form posts or for leveling up my character, though.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
I am 100% okay with being botted in case of emergency. I had never heard of a botting spoiler prior to this recruitment, but I think it's a fine idea, and have included such in my profile.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
This is the first character I've ever done any serious mucking around with SFS or PFS stuff, so I may need some education on those aspects, but I look forward to an experience with that setup that angles more into actual roleplaying and not just combat simulation. I'm eager to craft an exciting and cool story!
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Weoren grew up on Absalom Station with her parents, and was eager to tinker and play with complex systems throughout her life, whether that was optimizing strategies for a vidgame, getting a little extra "oomph" from a starship's thrusters or calculating the fastest route through a meteor cloud. When the Starfinder Society offered her an internship with the Forerunner program, she leaped at the opportunity, and soon began networking with the Wayfinders. She's fond of picking apart systems and figuring out how they work, but also values versatility in herself and others, looking to fill whatever niche the group needs to make it as effective as possible. She wouldn't consider herself majorly religious, but admires Yaraesa and Weydan's creeds. She ultimately wants to help the Starfinder Society get back on its feet after the Scoured Stars Incident and get back to doing what they do best, exploring and reporting on what's out there in the galaxy.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Weoran can fit into the role of Pilot, Engineer or Science Officer depending on the other group-members' skills.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Weoran enjoys tinkering with her gear and that of her allies to improve it, and doing the same with whatever ship she's on. If everything's in good working order, she occupies herself with vidgames, especially ones that offer a lot of options for strategizing or modding, as well as reading various treatises on complex topics.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Weoren prefers to act as a switch-hitter, peppering foes from range if the situation presents itself but capable of defending herself in melee as well. She applies the same sense of strategy that she does in her hobbies to fights, looking either to take down the most dangerous enemy as quickly as possible or to thin out ranks of multiple enemies to prevent them from ganging up on tankier crewmates.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Weoren met Cedona several times through their mutual connections to the Starfinder Society, specifically Fitch, who Weoren regards as a bit of a mentor. When Cedona needed a skilled pilot for a flight in the Diaspora no questions asked, Fitch recommended Weoren and Weoren impressed Cedona with her skilled piloting. After this, Fitch brought Cedona in several times as a consultant for Starfinder briefings and she and Weoren eventually became friends, as their mentalities had a lot in common. Cedona informed Weoren of her impending retirement shortly before Weoren graduated into full Starfinder-hood, and now that that's happened, she's eager to visit Cedona and show her how far she's come.
Is your full character sheet in your profile yet?
Yes, indeedy! Please let me know if the math is off.
Is there anything else about this character that you want me to know?
I'm eventually going to look towards constructing a maze-core weapon combining something like a plasma rifle with a flare axe or something, because that'd be COOL!

So, I managed to narrow down my choices to one of two characters, both Envoys. After a bunch of internal debate, I decided to keep my potential Vlaka character in the wings for now and present the other one.
Here is my awkward bumbling Astrozoan spy. He means well, but he's young and maybe just a teensy bit inexperienced. I mean, how was he supposed to know that goods aren't literally free in Absalom Station's Freemarkets? Seriously, if they weren't, why call it that?

Why do you want to do this campaign?
There's something awesome about longer running campaigns that SFS alone doesn't quite cover. That sense of freedom to explore the world, develop characters, and adventure through a really 'big' story. Against the Aeon Throne promises to deliver that in spades.
Plus, I've seen enough of your GMing that I know you're super high energy and a really engaged GM, and that the enthusiasm I put into the game will be answered in kind. That's surprisingly not super common in PbP, and it makes me feel like this game is a sure bet for a good time.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
While I love my Pop Idol SFS character, my latest favorite adventure is the Dead Suns game I'm playing in with my Skittermander corporate middle-manager. I play all of my Starfinder in PbP on the forums and have done quite a bit of GMing as well, including currently running a Dead Suns game for my own group.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent? Absolutely and of course.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
I don't like being botted so I do my best to avoid ever holding things up, but I will have botting info in my profile for when its needed. I prefer not to bot others. It feels wrong!
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
I'm in the US EST time zone and tend to update around lunchtime, plus again in the evening. Also, I like playing goofy and eccentric characters and this one is gearing up to be another one of those.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Prosperity Starr is the kind of alien kid who watched a few too many vid shows and thought "Prosperity Starr" was going to be a good human name when he arrived at Absalom Station immigration. He idolizes beauty and wants to become The Most Beautiful Thing in the Universe, a task that (as an Astrazoan) is not as hard as it might be for others. All he has to do is get out there in the untold numbers of planets and find the most beautiful thing, then change his own appearance to match. Easy, right?
A novice spy for the Skyfire Legion, he's currently on his gap year between instruction and his first official missions. If you'd like a slightly bigger taste of Prosper's backstory and personality, take a look under Character Fluff in his profile.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
He's a solid pilot, gunner and captain.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Prosper fancies himself a bit of a smooth-talker, but his real social skill is his ability to change his appearance to match that of people he's met. (As an astrazoan he gets to Change Form as a standard action at will! He could have a different face every six seconds! I see the zany hijinks already!) Though he's hardly an expert at subterfuge, his racial talents make him a great spy and infiltrator.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Prosper typically avoids harming his enemies, instead providing covering and harrying fire to give his allies the limelight. This character uses some of the new options from Armory to make harrying and covering fire worthwhile. I'm looking forward to trying to make good use of these under-used elements of Starfinder's combat system.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
It was during his training that he first met Cedona (at what he thought was a squad mixer for his Legion training team, but was actually a gang recruiting event). She'd pulled him away from accidentally committing himself to working for the Black Butchers, and for Prosper it was love at first sight. The next time the two met (by total chance, of course), he'd decided to impress her by imitating her appearance down to the exact pattern of circuitry on her crimson skin. How was he supposed to know she'd be freaked out and run away?
Prosper wanted to make amends and start anew with the lovely android, but by the time he managed to get her infosphere contact info and talk to her again, he found out she'd already moved off to the distant world of Nakondis.
Is your full character sheet in your profile yet?
Yep, leaving a few equipment decisions still in the air.

GM Hmm |

I am likely taking six characters. I don't mind class repeats, but I do want to see all sorts of interesting abilities in a party. Mind, class balance is not the only thing I am looking at, either! Awesome players with good chemistry is even more important. But... I just wanted to note something that I saw missing in the mix.
Hmm

I could perhaps rejigger Weoren to be a Technomancer. It wouldn't impact the core concept of a tinkerer/puzzle-solver in the slightest.
She'd just be a little less tanky starting out.

Why do you want to do this campaign?
I truly enjoy Starfinder, especially the depth of character and story that one can achieve in a standing campaign. A GM of my acquaintance told me that PBP is definitely a way to get into that depth.
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
As I hinted above, I am absolutely new to PBP, but it sounds pretty exciting. Starfinder on the other hand, I play that every chance I get (for the last 11 months anyway.) I think my favorite Starfinder moment was the epic concert/battle in #1-14 Star Sugar Heartlove.
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life? Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
2-3 posts per day seems very achievable, and such notification is the least one can do.
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler? Would you be willing to help bot others?
I am ok with being botted, the game comes first. I do not yet have a spoiler, but I’ll get one together. I’d definitely be willing to help bot others as long as their wishes are clear.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
I hope not.
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Once upon a time in the Vast, there was a little planet called Azan, and on Azan were a bunch of happy little owl people who worshipped their suns Xa and Osoro. Then Osoro blew up, took Azan with it, and the owl people were a lot less happy … and homeless.
One of these owls was a contemplative little fellow named Spectrum Silvervanes (Spec to any friends he had) who followed Osoro. Unlike most of his brethren, Spec was not convinced of Osoro’s death, instead he believed his god had transcended solar form and had transferred into the consciousness of the galactic inhabitants. Spec wanted to prove his theory, despite the disbelief of his brethren, but there were no tools in the Xa-Osoro system to do so.
Thus, the pudgy little bespectacled owl made his way to the Arcanamirium on Absalom Station, and promptly started working freelance at the Eyeswide Agency to pay tuition. Eventually Spec graduated with a degree in Xenoneurology, and a certificate in Applied Psychic Suggestions. He is currently serving as an adjunct professor, teaching the riveting sophomore class; The Principles of Applied Psychic Manipulation on Conflict De-escalation (attendance is about what you’d expect.)
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
Hope desperately for some sort of Aeon Cannon, or encourage the crew in a rather lackluster fashion.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
Spec likes watching people, and sometimes struggles with boundaries when it comes to NOT trying to look inside their heads to see what is there too.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
Spec likes to fly up to some out of the way place and cycle through trying to tell the enemies what to do, poking holes in their minds with his own, and just taking potshots at them.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Cedona was at his first lecture he attended, and in her commiseration about how absolutely awful the proofs were, she became the fist person to be nice to a little bird so far from home. He felt so indebted to her kindness that years later he jumped at the chance to go see her new colony, especially since it involved the union of belief and rational thought.
Is your full character sheet in your profile yet?
Not yet, I am still figuring out how it works. Hopefully it will be there soon.
Is there anything else about this character that you want me to know?
Most of it should be above… hopefully?

Dot in for interest. May not make it back until the weekend (Outpost II and all :)
Now I am curious how well these glowing folks...
...
All races should be from Paizo Products, with one possible exception. I will also consider characters from one third party product, the Xaursi. Why this one product from Rogue Genius Games? Because I wrote it, and this is my one chance to see one of my glow-in-the dark owls in play.
...will work with the Spectrumancer. :)

YOU AS A PLAYER:
Why do you want to do this campaign?
This character was part of a fairly short lived Starfinder PBP and I hadn't yet really explored his potential. The idea of doing a short Adventure Path greatly appeals to me, the fact that it is short means that there is a good chance of experiencing the whole thing. And, quite frankly, I've found you to be a superb PBP GM and would love to play with you as a GM again
What is your experience with PBP or Starfinder? Do you have a favorite prior adventure? Feel free to link to it if it was a PBP.
About 2 years or so PBP experience here and elsewhere. My favourite prior adventure was definitely the Murder Of Crows (and follow ups).
Are you able to keep up with 2-3 posts a day, barring occasional absences for cons, holidays, weddings, illness or real life?
Sure. Note that some days I'll be away from my terminal for stretches of 6-8 hours so I can't guarantee to respond in much less time than that.
Do you promise to let us know when you think you might be busy or absent?
Absolutely
Are you okay with being botted to maintain pace, and do you have a botting spoiler?
Sure
Would you be willing to help bot others?
If you're ok with it, sure.
Is there anything else I should know about you as a player?
Nothing that comes to mind
YOU AS A CHARACTER:
Tell me about your character’s background, personality and ambitions:
Wint is a young and naive Skittermander who has not been blessed with great intelligence. He does NOT yet understand much of the way that the galaxy works and is sometimes nearly overwhelmed by the strangeness of it all.
He was born on Vesk-3 and was forced to flee that planet when his attempts to improve a Vesk casino owners security were not received well.
Fortunately for him, the ship that he stowed away on was owned by some Starfinders and, rather than spacing him, they more or less adopted him as a mascot. A mascot that is an excellent pilot and a fair gunner.
He is cheerful and LOVES to help others. Occasionally he even succeeds.
He dislikes violence but is, of course, quite good at it. He can be very, very sneaky when he wants to be. While he tries to tell the truth sometimes a small fib seems the most helpful thing for him to do
His greatest ambition is to actually become a member of the Starfinder Society. And to help people.
What things do you do in Starship Combat?
He is very good at both piloting and firing ships guns. He is actually fairly competent at the skills that a Captain needs but certainly is NOT at all a leader.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of combat?
He loves things around him to be clean and orderly and will happily volunteer to make everything clean and tidy.
He also just loves to talk to people, to find out what interests them.
And, of course, help people.
What sorts of things do you like to do in combat?
He never actually LIKES combat. Combat is scary and dangerous and people can get hurt. He is quite good at it, of course.
He'll generally try and find a good hiding spot or two, moving in and out of cover and shooting at people. When that doesn't work, he'll try and confuse them and shoot them. He will always have several weapons in hands at the same time so he is quite versatile.
How did you meet Cedona, and why are you flying out to a backwater planet like Nakondis to see her again?
Wint first met Cedona when she helped protect him from some bullies who hadn't appreciated having their shoes shined while they were in a hover lift.
They became good friends, especially since Wint was quite willing to look after Cubber when Cedona was away. Cubber and Wint quickly became very good friends and when she went off to Nakondis Cedona left Wint with Cubber.
Cubber has recently had cubs (it wasn't Wints fault. REALLY!). And so, of course, Wint just HAS to go visit Cedona and show her the new grandchildren.
Is your full character sheet in your profile yet?
Yes
Is there anything else about this character that you want me to know?
He is only barely an adult and only 8 years old. I intend to play him as a bit slow and quite naive and somewhat childlike. Although 8 is an adult it still means that he has VERY little life experience
