Finnigan Calhoun |

Hey guys, I am frantically prepping for my IRL game sunday. It's for my neices, and I'm way behind on prep and long overdue to have a session for them.
I will try to post but please bot me if I'm lagging behind.
Finnigan wants to betray the dwarve escorts before they betray him and trev.
I haven't read the last five posts yet, will do so later.
cheers

Finnigan Calhoun |

Ok I'm back. Finnigan wants to stab bronnar and mal while vrindel and ibrox can see them if possible.
Edit: looks like that ship sailed, woopsy.

Finnigan Calhoun |

Crap this didn’t go the way I wanted. I wanted to stab them on the walk over, definitely not wait for them to turn on us first. Oh well no biggie.

Ibrox Redcap |

It’s better that they violate the oath of hospitality.
Ibrox has misty step to bypass the door.
I’ve a feeling the barn is going to get bloody fast.
Thanks for the bot. No time for more posting

Unfortunately I am in the same situation! Building a stage on a ski resort mountain, little reception and little time for sleep.

That's ok, I'll bot you and make you stand between me and death, yelling at me to leave and warn the others while you, well, die.
It will be grandiose! ;)

Finnigan Calhoun |

What I had really wanted to do was excuse myself to answer nature’s call and then shoot them from behind a tree leaving you in melleee!
Now though, Fin wants to get a weapon to Britta I think.

Ibrox Redcap |

Hi guys. My house move is s kicking my butt. Can’t combat post.
Ibrox would drop the invis, throw a hex, and go to guns on wounded ones.
Cheers

Trevor the Yellow |

Hello All,
Please note I'll be away for a week with limited access to Internet. Please bot me as needed.

Finnigan Calhoun |

Hmm, we're down a few guys. I pretty much can't post either. At a big stage build on a ski resort, camping out in between shifts.

Vrindel |

Just to clarify how this works.
1. Vindrel skittered away from the Trollkin. (Move Action) then turned back into his normal form (Bonus Action), then cast Healing word (Bonus Action).
So his movement as a spider could have invoked an AoO from the Enemy. The enemy then had to move to get to Vrindel which would have invoked an AoO from Trevor if he was already up.
So Trevor saw Vrindel heal him in his Trollkin form, not his spider form.
Besides he would know Vrindel takes this form, as he did so during the "Mis-Adventure at the Cliffs".
I'm good with how this played out, just clarifying for myself.

Finnigan Calhoun |

How’s it going guys. Are you able to bot Finnigan? Sorry I can’t post. I have not even been able to read last 16 posts. There is not enough time on these gigs, just barely enough for sleep.

Trevor the Yellow |

I tried to bot Finn, but I can't see your sheet. The link doesn't seem to be working, or Paizo is not letting it work. I'm not sure.
I'll quickly look at your old posts to find your attacks.

Sorry about that, the link is correct URL, not sure why it doesn't work. I entered the data into my profile page. Will clean up for easier reading later.
I'm mostly sleeping in a sleeping back on the ground in the woods nearby the stage at night, grabbing wifi on coffee breaks when available.
Really impossible to post, thanks for understanding guys.

Ibrox Redcap |

Small kidless vacay with wife until tomorrow afternoon. So, I snuck out to roll in case you’ve a post before then.
Ibrox will get off in zone 2 I think. He’ll be using Eldritch blast or vicious mockery at range for the combat, and doesn’t want disadvantage.
He’ll try to get the horse to trample a reaver if possible.
Cheers

Finnigan Calhoun |

Ok I'm caught up on reading. So Finnigan killed Bronar but took a few hits. Anyone know Fin's current HP, or should I calculate?
Thanks for the help guys I was climbing scaff structures in a harness for the first time and really had to stay focused with minimal sleep for safety sake if nothing else.
Edit: I only see this ten damage.

Trevor the Yellow |

Please note that I'll be travelling for two weeks, with reduced opportunities for posting. Please bot me as you see fit.

I'm not sure we played this one too smart.
Meh. I think we set this one up okay, or at least as good as we could. Most of the party isolated a bunch of the enemy and eliminated them and freed their captives. That's a mission accomplished.
Two members held the rest of the enemy in check, and then we combined in a pincer maneuver where we've eliminated almost everyone else.I can't really find fault in -any- of the things that went on, other we just seem to have not enough hitpoints.
Speaking of which, does Vrindel still have that healing potion we got back at the windmill? Now might be a good time. ^_^

Vrindel |

I get what you're saying, and after the situation became what it was we had the choice to fight against overwhelming odds or run and suffer the consequences of guilt... which many of our honor bound companions could not do. It became a "No Win" situation.
But in fact if Arterro hadn't had his incredible run of lucky rolls we would have been overwhelmed long ago. And the DM has been kind in enforcing rules as well to keep us in the fight this long. ie... the villagers helping in the barn, some misses becoming hits, letting Vrindel get by with some "iffy" action / bonus actions stuff, and not really enforcing the doffing / doning rules for armor.
I'm having a blast with the game the way it's being run however, and if it's heroic... I say go with it :-).
... oh and thanks for the reminder of the healing potion. Vrindel's in a tough spot, because he'd like to use his last spell to get someone up and fighting, but he's in a melee pinch at the moment. Could also turn into a giant badger or something, but that would take an action that he can't spare right now.

Ibrox Redcap |

Thanks Trevor. I thought a Death save was a Con save.
So, Ibrox is at 2 failures and 2 successes. Next round will determine if he stabilizes or dies...

Vrindel |

Damn Didn't realize it had been that many turns since you went down. I've got one healing word left, that I'll send off next round, and a potion I'll rush to whoever needs it next the following. Maybe Arterro has a healing word left he can use next round. Depends upon what the enemy does I guess.

Oh hellz to the YEAH!
Can we get some Inspiration up in DIS HOUSE!
Feel proud, guys. We have overcome a -vastly- superior force.
Though none would say the plan was perfect, it's hard to argue with results.
"Victory requires no explanation. Defeat allows none."

DM - Tareth |

Okay. Battle over. You all have a little time to catch your breath and heal. I'll need a bit of time to add up all of the XP. :) Feel free to RP as you like.
Trevor: You can certainly find a pair of boots. You already had some spotted back in the barn. As for armor, there is also a chain shirt worn by one of the larger dwarves that would fit your larger human body.
I'll also put together a more complete treasure list assuming you all loot the reavers.

DM - Tareth |

XP reward for the Battle of Nargenthal: 950XP each.
Treasure:
Trollkin Shaman: Quarterstaff +1, Hide Armor (Needs repairing due to substantial fire damage), Silver Symbol of Ouroboros.
Gronar: Battleaxe +1, Chain Shirt, 3 javelins, 10GP, 55SP
Trollkin Warrior: 2 Short swords, Hide Armor, Ivory Beartooth Necklace, 25SP, Silver Serpent Ring
Bronar: Battleaxe, 3 javelins, dagger, chain shirt, set of loaded dice, Copper Symbol of Ouroboros, 5GP, 40SP plus Trevor and Finnigan's coin.
Other Reavers (9): Each carries Battleaxe, 3 javelins, dagger, chain shirt, 5SP
A variety of heavy clothing and gear, and one burnt, but repairable reaver ship.

So, I assume Trev is for the axe, yeah? Anyone want the quarterstaff?
The coins and jewlery we hang on to, but the armor and weapons we can trade to bentknee for whatever is of his cargo that can help the village (foodstuffs, etc) and then we give this to the village.
With the cheapness of basic goods and the expense of armor and weapons, we should be able to buy Bentknee out, and that will save us the trouble of carrying 10+ axes and chain shirts.

Vrindel |

I can't seem to find an official answer to whether the +1 stacks on the Quarterstaff with Shillelagh... It states that it turns the staff magical if it's not already, but can't find the ruling on stacking. Vrindel would take the Q-Staff, but if it would be +6/+4 when used with the spell instead of +5/+6 that would be grand.
