Battle Map

The pathfinders double back and enter the depths of the mining district. As they pass on through, they hear the tortured sounds of earth shifting and the distinctive sulphurous smell of lava as well as terrified screams in Dwarven. Time is of the essence. For them. And you.

Ragnar moves and seeing big things attacking the dwarves he takes a shot at the nearest one and calls on Hugsy to help.

"Big rock looking things here."

Shot vs flat-footed including deadly aim point blank, improved precise shot, and haste: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 17 + 1 + 1 = 22

holy?: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

Even with his new accelerated speed Hugsy must move twice to reach the nearest enemy.

Battle Map

Ragnar holds back a fraction of a second, letting Alvin's spell complete. With the extra impetus, both Ragnar and Hugsy move up to deal with the elementals, with the ranger letting loose an arrow that bounces off the magma elemental's thick hide. Angry at the interruption, the magma beast turns its attention from it's rocky opponent to Hugsy.

Slam #1 vs Hugsy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40
Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (6, 5) + 9 = 20
Burn? Ref DC 20: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Slam #2 vs Hugsy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 36
Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (6, 7) + 9 = 22
Burn? Ref DC 20: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Slam #1 vs Hugsy (Confirm): 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 39
Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (7, 2) + 9 = 18

Is Hugsy under the effects of a Resist Energy? As it, this is going to hurt.

The first magma fist breaks Hugsy's back. The second slam cracks the snake's skull. Satisfied with its work, it melds partially into the wall, looking to Ragnar next.

Hopefully Hugsy isn't/wasn't unique. Also, I'm going to start botting people so that you don't end up bearing the brunt of Bad Stuff that happens if you are in the bubble after time gets called.

The walls, floor, and ceiling begin to tear apart, revealing
countless miniature scenes from past ages. The entire sky
citadel groans as though Jormurdun were slowly dying,
and more visible ripples—now seeming to pulse with an
impossibly slow heartbeat—wash through the halls.

Alonso sighs a little as he is left out of the haste spell. Oh well, spending the adventuring life mostly invisible has some downsides I suppose

He places a hand on Polanco and Sir Godfrey's shoulder and whispers time to teleport again lads, try not to be sick everywhere before teleporting the three of them to the end of the corridor.

I have now exhausted my dimensional steps

He then flies around the corner to get a good look at the enemy, trusting to his flight and invisibility to keep him safe.

Thank you Alonso, that saves me having to shadow jump!

Sir Godfrey was ready to step into the shadows of the cavern to reach the dwarves, but suddenly feels the world ripple around him and he can make a large, magma monster out around the corner standing over a snake corpse. "Fiend! You have slain a true, slithery ally! Dwarves, help me get revenge for this heinous act!" He bares his sword and charges for the Magma elemental, blade pointed towards the softest point he can find as he slips under its guard.

Move to new location, standard to attack. Using Spring attack to avoid triggering an AoO.

1st +3 Adamantine Great Sword(Power Attack, Haste, bardic performance): 1d20 + 20 - 3 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 20 - 3 + 1 + 3 = 27 +2 if the dwarves are armed
Damage(Power Attack): 2d6 + 22 + 3 ⇒ (5, 2) + 22 + 3 = 32

I completely forgot the shadow!

Godfrey's shadow follows after the group, but with a much more direct path... through the wall. As it slides out of the far side, it takes a swing with its incorporeal blade at the earth elemental's exposed side.

Move to new location and attack the earth one!

Creepy Shadow Touch(Haste, Bardic Performance): 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 1 + 3 = 32+2 if dwarves provide flank
Strength Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Venture Lieutenant, Play by Post (online)

In response to the temporal oddness, word comes from Shaine for all Pathfinder teams to quickly return to the Cathedral. It appears to be a good thing, because just as the last of the Pathfinder teams makes its way in, things get even more dramatic.

Like a massive soap bubble, the temporal anomaly shudders violently, painfully distorting the portions of the sky citadel within. Energy arcs as Jormurdun fluctuates between its past grandeur and present ruin. Then, as if with a sigh of relief, the entire bubble implodes, retracting through the halls and returning Jormurdun to the present. The energy rushes over a pair of field agents sprinting from the halls below, instantly transforming the unfortunate Pathfinders into chalk statues.

For a moment, the whole city is silent. Kreighton Shaine takes a few tentative steps forward, looks about at the gathered Pathfinders, and gives a low, appreciative whistle as he holds aloft the strange device once worn by the demon Yealek-Vor.

"Although we expected to find trouble in Jormurdun, the sky citadel has proven far more perilous than we had predicted. I can only speculate as to what this bizarre object accomplished, but it has given us an utterly unique glimpse into the sky citadel’s past. King Gutheran informed me that this is not the whole device but rather the largest of five pieces—the others he sent with his children who fled this place thousands of years ago. If we are to truly understand this 'Sky Key,' we may have to follow the millennia-old trails to wherever these dwarves went. But that is a task for another day. Thanks to your bravery and cleverness, we have cleansed Jormurdun of its foulest elements in only a day. With the city under the Society’s control, we can now explore at a more leisurely pace. Without a doubt there is much more to learn than we found in our hasty campaign. Before we look too far to the future, though, let us remember the past. Not all of our agents and comrades survived this expedition—lost either today or in the year of service to the Mendevian Crusade that brought us to this victory. Their names shall be recorded in the Grand Lodge to forever honor those who have fallen in the pursuit of knowledge. But for now, we can celebrate. Congratulation, Pathfinders. I am proud of your Unrivaled Accomplishment."
