@GM Skyreaver

I added my role to my Stat Block, an I missing anything else?

Ok, so here's my character. Full sheet in the character's profile. For now, I post the background here. I think I did the character creation's correctly. I do get the feeling I have too few Feats. Also, do I apply my Con mod twice for HP (once for ancestry, another for class?)

Background story:
Filona has lived most of her life in a village near Magnimar called Jorund. Her mother Penny died of an illness just before her 18th birthday, so Filona knows life mainly as a merchant's assistant, that is, her father Pamon. She quickly learned her crafting skills, although while not particularly agile at assembling small parts, she did know the workings of most mechanical machines. People often said that she was a building genius, especially when she was not assembling small parts.

One day, she went to Magnimar for the first time in her life. Filona went there with her father Pamon for a trading fair, and he noticed that she was particularly good with customers and put her on the selling task. At the same time, a highborn elf named Malanor noticed a magical aura surrounding the young gnome. With Pamon's reluctant permission, she spent a day with Malanor learning that she had powerful and natural primal magic pulsing within her. Clearly that was not enough for her to become a renowned Sorceress, but it was enough for her to be curious about it. The bad news was that she became a daydreamer. Pamon could do nothing to prevent his daughter's ever more frequent visits to the noble elf.

After a few years, Filona grew powerful enough to give shape to some simple spells, but to her teacher's dismay, she used it mostly to play pranks on the elders and embarass her master. An elder elf warned him that she would never cease to be a simpleton. Filona knew this as well, since along with the teaching of magic, Malanor taught her about society and nobility, and she became aware that she was only a pawn for him. Little did she know that he actually cared for her, but he never had the chance to tell her, as one day she just stormed off without warning.

She reached her father's shop with fresh tears on her cheek and started to sell goods, without saying a word. Despite his worries, Pamon's heart was warm as he felt she was staying for good. The next day she told him she was leaving to start her own shop. Identifying herself as a true merchant, she would go to a small town and start her shop there. Sandpoint seemed promising, a peaceful small village. She would name her shop after her mother: In for a Penny, in for a Pound.

Primary role: Controller
Secondary role (needs to be decided with party before play as it would change choice of Spell Repertoire): Healer

Also, I haven't chosen my familiar yet, but will soon.

Edit: I chose Engineering Lore, as I want her to be a sort of academic prodigy, though she never really studied it formally. Is this ok?

@Anthorg: Unfortunately, had you read the post right before your first one, you would see that I had called new interest last Friday, and already had to turn away one person, so I wouldn't feel right then allowing you to join the game.

I apologize, and good luck with your future gaming!

Just noticed Velkan still hadn't traded fire for ice yet.
Now he has liquid ice instead of alchemist's fire xD

Also tanglefoot > silversheen... possibly xD

I did read the post and had hoped a full submission, instead of a dot, would still be valid. But your point is fair. I hope the game goes smoothly though. But remember me if someone drops out =p

Sorry new to Pathfinder 2nd ed. What else do you see that needs to be done to be complete?

Okay, I'm back after a weird weekend where friends I haven't seen an over a decade showed up out of the blue and kinda...kidnapped me, but in a good way. I should have a post for you folks tomorrow.

Yay IRL friends xD
Welcome back!

Sounds fun!

Hello and welcome all. I know I've kept you waiting, and I thank you for your patience. Suffice it to say, I have cut off everything that does not have a full submission, with one exception:

Q'Lee, to answer your question, you should go back and take a look at my previous feedback: your stats are not calculated correctly. I would recommend taking a look at page 21 of the playtest rulebook, as I mentioned previously. I'll give you until Thursday around this time to get it corrected (and adjust your build accordingly), and then I'll go through my final selections.

Also, for (primarily) those of you who are spellcasters, there was an update today (Monday) that effected spells that deal damage, so we'll be using that as well.

As things stand, I'm going to give everyone on the list until this time on Thursday to make any final changes they might want to make to their characters. As I will be doing a review, just go ahead and make the changes and I'll take it in stride. Just let me know when you have your final build done and I'll annotate that.

Background/History
Conor was born the 4th son in a moderately successful Korvosan merchant family. As the black sheep of the family, preferring to live in a world of fantasy and adventure rather than the terribly boring world of caravan routes and warehouse organization, not to mention the horror of keeping track of goods prices throughout Golarion, he was not terribly liked by his stern father or his brothers. It didn't help that he would rather compose a song or jaunty ditty over discuss the price of grain with the farmers. Luckily he was born reasonably fit and constant beatings from his brothers led to him learning quickly how to fight. Kept secret from his family was the fact that his music wasnt simply frivolous, but had power. He knew his father would try to leverage his magic for his family and, frankly, Conor disliked his family. Once he became an adult, or near enough, Conor gathered what little he had figuring "in for a penny, in for a pound", and ran off, dreaming of a life of adventure and exploration. His family didnt miss him, or even care. Wandering, singing for his dinner, and glutting his wanderlust has delivered Conor to Sandpoint.

I changed up a few skills and changed around my gear a bit based on some recent playtesting. Couldn't cram a healer's kit in yet, but I'll plan on picking up one reasonably quickly, as we learned that Bleed can be pretty nasty in 2.0.

I envision Conor as being support with his spells and inspirations, a backup frontliner and tertiary healer.

Taking a little departure in the attitude here with trying to make Conor a happy-go-lucky positive individual instead of the cynical loner or pragmatic mercenary I usually play.

Really looking forward to this AP, should I get selected! I have always wanted to run it.

No updates here, I'm all set.

Thalia should be good to go as well.

Velkan is ready for showtime.

I might eventually think/hear of a better way to list his various bombs, but that'd just be a formatting thing xD

My Barb is ready to roll

Grand Lodge

I am just curious - what was it about my submission that it wasn't considered complete?

I tweaked Syeira's skills a little, and she is completely ready

PJP:

Because after posting my analysis of your character, you didn't post anything, not even a recognition post that you had read my notes. Since you didn't post anything in response to my corrections, I didn't feel right including you.

Just a few hours to make your final changes!

Welp, good luck everyone ^^

Okay, folks, sorry about the delay there. Let's get started:

First off, I want to thank everyone who apped. I know that making a character can be time and energy consuming, and I don't want any of you to think that I don't acknowledge that.

I also want to say that there were some good submissions among those posted, so no one who submitted a character should feel that their submission was lacking, even among those whose characters were not considered complete for the final draft. It ended up taking alot longer for me to decide which Front-Liner, Damage-Dealer, and Support I would select, and I went through a few different group compositions to try and pin down what I feel the best group composition would be.

So, without further ado, I would like to welcome the following characters to my campaign of Rise of The Runelords, 2E edition:

Front-Liner: Amycus Pope, played by Apoc Golem
Healer: Tiro Turtleback, Played by Shalm
Damage Dealer: Syeira, Played by Slayde77
Controller: Velkan Voica, Played by ScegfOd
Support: Connor the Wanderer, played by Remnar

Please report to the discussion thread for some pregame info and we'll go from there!

Congrats to those who were selected. Have fun! :D

congrats!
