About Velkan Voica

background:

Velkan grew up in a city not too far from Sandpoint. There weren’t many kids with humongous canines around, and Velkan didn’t have many friends growing up. Luckily he also inherited some strength and agility from his Orc ancestors, and so he wasn’t picked on much.
Velkan was also born quite smart, and spent his spare time with his nose buried in books; they’d never judge him based on his teeth, after all. As he studied different things, he found he had a great interest in the history of his people; the varisian (and hopefully thassalonian) half, anyway.
Of the many things Velkan studied, alchemy was also prominent. He could’ve settled down and started a world famous apothacary with his talents, but when it came to the study of ancient Thasselon, he just couldn’t stop searching. “In for a penny, in for a pound” his mother would say. Eventually, Velkan’s search led him to a place named Sandpoint...

Personality:

Velkan grows uncomfortable at the mention of teeth, especially sharp teeth. He tends to prefer to keep his hood down in public, just to avoid the occasional stares.
Velkan is also a curious and studious fellow. While he does not loathe the outdoors, he feels much more comfortable inside, especially in a library or laboratory where he can learn new things.

Appearance:

His skin is a tinged green, though a much paler green than most half-orcs. He has large canines though, and they are painfully obvious when his face is in full view. His violet eyes, at least, bear witness to the Varisian in his blood. He has short red hair, which, if not for his other features, would be notable for its redness.
Due to Velkan’s studious habits and poor diet, he has no stamina; he’s also prone to infection, and he isn’t even a healthy orcish green. In spite of this, he is visibly toned and light on his feet.
Velkan wears rather ordinary looking clothes. He wears brown boots, beige pants, a sturdy black belt, a dirty white shirt, padded armor, a backpack, a four pouches across his belt, a satchel, and a cloak that has a hood he can hide his teeth face with.
