Q'Lee, maybe a ranger then? The animal companion would help set up flanks with front-liners and you could stand back and pick off with a bow. Or alternatively, make a melee ranger and do that flanking yourself, depending on whether there's a rogue in the party.
As a druid, I don't think they get a whole lot in the way of damaging spells (at least they certainly didn't in 1e; I'd have to take a look at the Primal spell list for 2e).
EDIT: On looking at the druid class, you could go with the Wild Order to get Wildshape, which would be almost exclusively support at first (the pest form ability it starts with is, combat-wise, hot garbage, so would be remanded to out-of-combat utility). However, once you hit 4th level and can pick up the Animal Shape feat, then your combat options really start to shine. (And at 8th level, if you take the Ferocious Shape feat, you can be a freaking dinosaur!)
Rangers appear to be primarily damage-dealers, with support coming in the form of class feats like Monster Hunter (if you succeed on your Recall Knowledge check against a specific creature, you and your allies get a +1 to your next attack roll against it) or Animal Companion (which gives you an animal companion for aforementioned flanking and whatnot). In other words, druids seem less damage, more support (at least to start) and rangers seem less support, more damage.
Hope that helps!

Evening all. Let's see what we got here:
@Marcan: see below. Also, I looked at your alt, and the will save is off on it. Since you are expert in will, it should be one higher.
@rorek55: Welcome! I look forward to your submission.
@Q'Lee: As things stand right now, combat pets don't really come online until 4th level for Druids and 6th level for Rangers. Druids do indeed get pretty decent offensive options for spells (storm druid is one of the stronger druids straight out of the gate, imo).
@Joakker (and everyone, really): Your role is meant to say what you and others expect you to do in combat. I've tried to describe them as best I could without pointing at specific classes, but if I need to provide better examples, I can.
For example, if someone in PF1e said they were playing a cleric, another party member might think "oh, this guy is playing a healer" when in actuality, the cleric's player is actually planning to play a damage dealer, using negative channelling and inflict wounds spells.
By making people select roles, everyone should be on the same page with what that character will TEND to do when combat starts (obviously, situations will vary). I find when I think about those kinds of roles while making a character, it helps to narrow down the type of character I'm going to make.
So to put it another way Joakker, if you envision your wizard jumping into the front lines of combat, then set your role to front-liner. If you plan on focusing on ways to hurt enemies, then damage is the way to go, and if you plan on buffing your allies, you could go support. The choice is really up to you (and you COULD probably find a way to shoehorn in the other roles, should that be what your character is going for).

First off, really nice rewrite. It made finding everything pretty straightforward.
Basically, all of your math checks out, but I noticed three things that are off:
First, as of update 1.2, bards start with 2 1st level spells in their repertoire, instead of 1, so you have another spell to pick.
Secondly, your resonance is one point too low: it should be key ability mod plus level, and you have it set to key ability mod.
third, your skills are one too few: as of update 1.2, you should get Occultism and Performance automatically, plus 6+int mod skills (plus your lore skill from your background). that should give you your 3 set skills plus 7 more, and I only count 6.
Go ahead and just note in the thread which options you're picking.
If you are not Connor, congratulations, you're now second level! please let me know in the thread so I don't make the mistake of correcting you when auditing your character.
First of all, that's a nice character sheet, I might steal it for my own
Secondly, it looks like there is an issue with your stats. You rolled 16, 15, 11, 13, 16, 5, and your posted stats are 5, 15, 11, 18, 17, 18. as a Human, it's not possible to get those stats with the rolled method.
Please review the stat rolling method instructions on page 21 of the playtest rulebook.
Please correct your stats and I'll be more than happy to continue your character audit. Thanks!

So with SIGNATURE SKILLS, am I trained in them already or do I need to put a skill point in to make them trained? How do I get a skill higher than trained like to expert?
Also How high can I start a ability score at, lets say die roll 16, get a bump in race and in background and in class do you start at 22 ?

Signature skills have been removed. Please see the update document (v1.3 as of this writing) available here
edit: Also I forgot to mention that for the rolling stats method you only get one boost from your background and all but one free-to-choose boost from your race (max is still capped at 18, which means if you add to a 17 at character gen, you still just get 18)

Joakker |

Oh sorry, it's fixed now. I put the free boost from human in intelligence and the background one in charisma

Okay, so most of your math is correct (which is a good sign!). I just noticed a couple of things:
First off, your bonus to hit with your handcrossbow is +4, not +5 (unless you have an additional bonus from somewhere I'm not aware of).
Next, you have your familiar statted out as an animal companion, and it should be per the familiar rules starting on page 287.
Finally, per update 1.2, your untrained skill modifier is level -4, not level -2.
If you are not Atzadi, you can start with an extra trained skill. Just post in the thread to let me know so that I don't make a mistake auditing your character.
Okay, so before I get indepth with your submission, your attributes are incorrectly calculated. Please review the rolled attribute method on page 21 of the Playtest book. Once that has been corrected, I'll be more than happy to finish going over your submission!
Just a quick reminder for anyone thinking about posting that tomorrow is the cutoff day for new dots.

Joakker |

The -2 penalty is because the sheet automatically calculates the untrained proficiency as level -2, so I added it to complete the -4
The familiar and crossbow stuff is fixed now
Also, I didn't understand the last sentence 'If you are not Atzadi, you can start with an extra trained skill. Just post in the thread to let me know so that I don't make a mistake auditing your character.' Would you mind explaining, please? :)
Otherwise, here it is

Hey Vrog, I did indicate that my character will be support in my initial application. I don't see it reflected in your chart, just wanted to be sure you saw it so my submission will be considered complete. Thanks. :D
Yes, I had indicated much the same with Connor. Support Bard (who should be able to do some damage between supporting as well).

** spoiler omitted **
@Connor, Thalia, and Syeira: I double checked and didn't see it, but it's certainly possible I missed it.
Like Thalia, it was located in the Role and Other Info spoiler in my initial application post

Just a reminder to people who rolled but haven't gotten a character created, we're about a week and a half (ish) before I'll go ahead and cut off new completed submissions. If you think you'll need a bit more time than this, let me know and we can push it out some, but I do want to try and keep it fair to the rest of the players as well.
If we get all of the people listed under "Attributes Rolled" to complete their submissions, I'll start the selection process.

ScegfOd |

To save Vrog a modicum of effort:
I'd say character creation counts as "between combat"
Playtest: Given that this is going to at least partially be run during the playtest timeframe, there will likely be character revisions that will happen. If a change to a class or ancestry occurs between combats, we'll go ahead and apply that change. If there is a change that occurs DURING combat, we will hold off on making the change until the combat is complete (which means that it's not entirely impossible that we won't have to change anything at all, should the rules get returned to the previous state.) Also, I will be submitting feedback on how the game to the surveys, and I would encouage you all to do the same.
All our ancestries just changed a bit, so we'd all make adjustments
e.g. I think Velkan Voica no longer speaks Orcish (I'll make him more of a polyglot in some other way...) and he gets an ancestry feat back... which I might use to grab a general feat to get two languages xD
(I might wait for the 2nd level skill feat to grab multilingual... when he finishes deciphering his "mysterious book" ...)

ScegfOd |

Velkan Voica can get Remarkable Resonance at first level with this change. He's getting it.
(related: changing 1 day's ration into 5cp so that he can carry more of his alchemical goodies)
I guess I'll just try to pick out a couple of (possibly uncommon) languages for his spell-book to be written in that he'll learn @ level 2 xD
edit: update 1.4 download area
The main thing seems to be that we get a heritage heredity (feat?) and an ancestry feat at first level; also we get a new list of ancestry feats and heritages.

Conor was born the 4th son in a moderately successful Korvosan merchant family. As the black sheep of the family, preferring to live in a world of fantasy and adventure rather than the terribly boring world of caravan routes and warehouse organization, not to mention the horror of keeping track of goods prices throughout Golarion, he was not terribly liked by his stern father or his brothers. It didn't help that he would rather compose a song or jaunty ditty over discuss the price of grain with the farmers. Luckily he was born reasonably fit and constant beatings from his brothers led to him learning quickly how to fight. Kept secret from his family was the fact that his music wasnt simply frivolous, but had power. He knew his father would try to leverage his magic for his family and, frankly, Conor disliked his family. Once he became an adult, or near enough, Conor gathered what little he had figuring "in for a penny, in for a pound", and ran off, dreaming of a life of adventure and exploration. His family didnt miss him, or even care. Wandering, singing for his dinner, and glutting his wanderlust has delivered Conor to Sandpoint.

Syeira Cretu |

As stated previously, I tweaked Syeira from Elf to Human. This allows her to be a secondary frontliner sooner. She'll have Simple and Martial Weapon proficiency and Medium Armor proficiency by second level. She also has a beet more resiliency with a higher Con score and more hp.
The updated character can be found in my profile
Ability score changes: +2 Con, -2 Cha
Background: Barkeep to Scout
Feats: Lose Elf Weapon Familiarity
Gain Armor Proficiency and Toughness

Evening folks. Good to see people on top of the Ancestry changes. I both realize and recognize that keeping up with changes might be a bit chaotic (especially during recruitment!), but thanks for sticking with it.
Note that the resonance changes posted today won't apply to us, because the test is intended specifically for the updated PFS module that they provided in the blog post, so don't worry there.
Speaking of which, if you find it easier during the recruitment to just list your changes (spoilered or not, as you see fit) and not repost your entire character sheet, I am more than fine with that.
In other news:
@Vehement1: Unfortunately, I am going to say no; not because I think you're a bad person or anything, but I want to be fair to those people who might have looked at the thread, read my post, and then skipped posting. I am sorry, and hope you find a game soon!
Speaking of deadlines: just a reminder that I'm going to cut off people who have already rolled attributes or have characters built that are missing one or more things on Friday, barring anyone asking me for a couple more days. My plan will be to then spend the weekend going over submissions before I announce the selected submissions and then will post them with a tentative start day of the following Monday (which will be pushed out a day or two if someone requests an extension).

Hello GM Skyreaver. I've been absent from Pathfinder pbp and haven't even looked at 2e. However I would like a chance in your party.
I have spent the last month thinking that I wanted to play the Rise as my live group cut it short a looooong time ago. I have been putting together this CG gnome Sorceress who does mischief and is particularly persistent.
Her role would be controller in combat and social front out of combat, albeit with a few lies and fun illusions.
Until Friday I will try to read at least the character creation part of 2e and put her sheet together.
Anyway, thank you for organizing this and I hope I can join. And yes, I've read the OP and am 100% on board the rules.

Anthorg |

Rolling, for starters:
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 4) = 16: 13
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 5) = 14: 13
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 1) = 14: 13
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 5) = 14: 12
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 2) = 13: 11
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 3) = 12: 11
Soooo average. Lemme try once more:
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 6) = 16: 15
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 5) = 22: 17
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 6) = 18: 16
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 2) = 11: 9
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 3) = 9: 7
Attr: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 3) = 17: 14
