abomination!! Work of evil miscreants!!
Sanrael walks over to examine the scene...

Overcome by his emotions upon seeing the abominable scene, Sanrael forgets care and pushes by Pnin striding forward towards the table triggering a trap. A heavy iron cage containing a skeleton in a leather harness falls down from a recessed area in the ceiling striking Sanrael.

Sanrael make a DC14 reflex save or be trapped inside the cage with the skeletal warrior.

Smart move Kiryl!
Idril has some space. Back to back with Kiryl.
Sanrael Bloodthorn
Great!! I will just stay in this cage with the skeleton....while you examine cage...and stroll about the room
DM Darkvision
Curral and Pnin notice a chain connected to the top of the cage that goes up into the ceiling. They also spot some sort of mechanism partially hidden by the table that might be used to raise the trap but it appears to be missing the handle needed to crank it. There is no door into the cage, however it might be possible to lift one side using brute strength or there might just be enough room to squeeze through the bars but it would definitely be tight.
Kiryl is unable to locate any additional threats.
Idril blasts the skeletal warrior with a ray of cold, while Sanrael hacks into the bones with his great sword. Though damaged the skeleton continues to fight further wounding an already bloody Sanrael.

Pnin
Pnin starts to examine the room for additional traps and inspects the bodies to try to determine more about what was happening to these creatures

Idril blasts the skeleton into a pile of bones as Sanrael slides out from the cage. Pnin immediately lets go of the cage to inspect the room. Kiryl and Curral have no choice but to drop the cage as it is too heavy for them to support. Pnin doesn’t notice anything in addition to what was previously described.

i wouldnt mind us taking a closer look at that sword
If possible
Sanrael reaches through the bars in his bleeding...injured....needing healing state...to retrieve the sword.....

Thought I destroyed the skeleton. What is going on here?

Sanrael weakly stumbles over and hacks the creatures on the table....in case they animate
DM Darkvision
Sanrael hacks the body parts on the table.
The skeleton looks almost complete now.
Idril Doriath
Idril shares...It may be the glowing green crystal bulging out of the corner. I am somewhat certain it has to do with the Emerald Spire itself. Or maybe the Necromancer who created the skeleton added extra negative energy to allow it to reassemble.
Was the crystal glowing as much as it now when we first entered?

good thinking Idril....can anyone help me with healing? Pnin...when we rest for a while let me look at the rat butes...see if i can help you with them
Kiryl
If Kiryl thinks he can safely hack at the bones through the cage he does so GSPA: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 262d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 1) + 9 = 15, otherwise he casts ~detect magic~ about the room.
Keep disrupting those bones Idril. See if it can keep 'healing' itself or not. Either way, I'm not that worried about a skeleton in a cage.
Pnin
Thanks Sanrael, I do feel weakened from the bite. I think we should heal up and continue onward . . . Unless the magically inclined want to continue their investigation into the necromancy.
Idril Doriath
Sanrael reaches through the cage and grasps sword pulling it back through the bars. Meanwhile, the pile of bones that was once a skeleton slides to the far side of the cage and also through the bars, it looks like the bones are reassembling.
Am I misreading what is happening? I thought the skeleton is reassembling outside of the cage. "Meanwhile the pile of bones that was once a skeleton slides to the far side and also through the bars"
