Just a quick note to say that I'm still here, but I'm working on cleaning out and reclaiming my man-cave (which has become a household storage/dumping ground). This is a lengthy process (as a couple of my bookshelves had broken and I got replacements). Anyway, I will try to update as possible, but please be patient if waiting on me, or bot me if I am holding things up. This should be done by next week.

Basically, an old woman came up to the party and gave them an ancient treasure map and the party brought the bard with you because he could read it and now you are trying to follow the map.

I wouldn't say no to having some healing magic. Fadilah can request cleric spells, of course, but the success chance is very low and there's always the risk of pissing off some divine minion.

I don't think that I got an XP total when I started... just was supposed to make a 3rd level character, so I am not sure what to add the 1354 to. I could add it to the 3rd level Rogue XP level (2,500), which would put me at 3854, but that would be lower than the people we are recruiting right now, so I am guessing that is wrong.

Yeah, I was looking more for a detect magic sort of spell so we would know if any of the items were magical, but if we don't have anything like that, we can fall back on the tried and true (and somewhat dangerous) method of just using the items and seeing what happens. :)

Shairs do not need spell components because the gen returns with magical token needs to be used within three turns.

so detect magic first to see what is and isn't magical, and then identify to see what the magical items are? Might take a while, but we can wait for the gen to come back while we're tracking down murderous lawyer guy.
