sorry for my absence...working through a transition. I'm goign to try to be more regular again.

I'd really love to do an occasional live session. Group bonding, fun, and all. I can host, I have a licensed Zoom account.

Sounds good to me! Just let me know when

Farmageddon

Weekends work best for me. Rotating Saturdays and Sundays (which I know is annoying) since my IRL games are still going.

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

Sorry, crazy weekend, one that involved my dog, a tent, and a pissed off skunk.

Sure, I could swing something like that.

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

I'm available to play live this weekend. Especially easy because my wife is out of town (i know I know). I've love to have a session, if people would be interested.

I'm afraid I'm out this weekend. I've got my normal IRL group on Saturday and Easter on Sunday.

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

Might not be a negative 10 now as I assume that our manuver at least ate some our speed???

Happy Easter Everyone!

That's safe to figure, Tap, yes. Figure it's at a -5 now, and you can try a hard-to again to get the ships back in line

And...edit...should have looked at Rush's roll first. You're good!

Guys, just putting this out there - I'm tinkering around with some 2nd edition in Roll20 on Saturdays - probably be early afternoon EST. I barely know anything about 2E, but enjoy figuring it out by playing. If anyone's interested let me know. Tap tried it once and may still be speaking to me...

Give me a heads up on when, and I might be available to jump in.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

hmm. maybe we start thinking about putting out the fire in that other ship. value

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

would be awesome if we came out of this with 2 news ships

The ship on fire is in bad shape, for sure...but you do hear the screams of the pirates from that ship, as it is no doubt getting hot in there!

As for this Chelish ship you're fighting on...sure seems like it's in good working order;)

Current HP: 28 of 28 Sylph Oracle 5

It'll take a few hours, but Rush can repair the damage on the ship with Make Whole.

You now....have another ship:

Chelish Cutter
Init +2

AC 14, touch 2, Hardness 7
HP 1,620 (sails 120)
Save +12

4 light ballistae +3 (3d8/19-20)
CMB +20
CMD 30
Ramming damage 8d8

Minimum 20 non-officers to pilot

Gear:
48 bolts, 30 squares of sails

Plunder:
1 point for the ships stores and gear

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

soooo much rainnnnnnn

Yeah, down here too. Drained the pool out twice already

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

You still have a dry basement bro?

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

dry basement? nope!

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

the hasn't risen up so high, but the ground is so saturated that it forced itself through the basement walls. its a top 10 flood in Roanoke (for the past 120 years)

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

how's the culvert holding? What was last years flooding ranked?

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

culvert is at capacity, but so far not blocked. I flooded twice in 2018. Those were flash floods; something like 5 inches of rain in an hour or two. We've had a lot of rain in the last few days, but no more than 0.25 inches per hour, usually less. Its just always raining.

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

I saw the pics of the roanoke river through town. oh man!

Rush: Glad you joined the discord server!

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

I believe we got more crew recently...I believe we are at 26?

But perhaps we can save some people and invite them to our crew for a bit?

So....I'm probably not being very clear. There are 3 ships.

The Oncoming storm
The Chelish ship, now secured...and not burning
Another ship, in terrible shape, and burning.

The yells beseeching saviors are coming from the third ship, upon which you currently are not. So - if Rush would like to fight the fires, he'd need a good range on that spell, or he'd need to hop over to that ship.

You can see from here (on the Chelish ship) that the doors to come up from down below are closed and locked with rope from the outside. Someone is pressing on them from the inside face, trying to get out.

Current HP: 28 of 28 Sylph Oracle 5

Create water (at Rush's level) reaches out 35 feet. Would that be enough?

Yup, that works!

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

I think i would like that cloak of resistance for Jack.

Farmageddon

Jack should get first pick of defensive stuff since he's the front line fighter here, my opinion.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

Thanks.

Do we need to further ID the "magical" bastard sword and chain shirt?

Nope! I figured since you're headed back to Rickety's, you have more than enough time to fully identify everything. They're just +1

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

got it, thanks.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

well its back to Ricketys then!

Sorry cap'n; criss-crossed posts!

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

np

I'll be on a family trip from this Weds through this Sunday; posting will be very limited during that time.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

enjoy!

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

ok crew, what are our options here? spells, techs, potions

Current HP: 28 of 28 Sylph Oracle 5

Rush has his summon spells, so he could conjure up something to send down there to look for us.

He also has ant haul for pulling things up if we get a rope around it.

He also is holding: 1) Potion of Touch of the Sea, 2) Fully charged wand of Air Bubble, 3) Two scrolls of Air Bubble.

I'm back. The COVID-19 ate my life for a while. It's been nuts. I have a lot of catching up to do... I will have some more time now as we're getting past family getting sick and recovering and/or dying, it's been an intense several months. I feel like things are starting to slowly get back to normal, whatever that is.

Is there still a place for Sunyata in game? Will be reading to catch up.

F Maenad Disciple of the Raging Sea / 4

Caught up... Śūnyatā seems like she stayed back at Rickety's... ?

I can't say that I honestly have been keeping track. I don't remember what (if anything) was decided. I don't have a problem with the return of the Lady Vampire.

Hi Sunyata; sorry to hear that it's been rough, but I'm glad you and yours are on the mends! One benefit of having this pirate crew with you is that whenever someone leaves, they just meld back into the crew. So, you've just been there as "one of the pirates" and can certainly just come back out to the fore.

Right now, you're on the west coast of the great Motaku Isle, trying to figure out who is diving down for some treasure, or if you have another plan in mind.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

Hey hey Sunyata. Welcome back. Sorry that its been rough.

We're about to dive for treasure. Let's do it!

F Maenad Disciple of the Raging Sea / 4

Śūnyatā is a good swimmer, let's dive in!

Thanks everyone, yeah it's been surreal. My husband's birthday was a couple weeks ago and I told him... Well... Guess no one will ever blow on candles on the cake that everyone else will put in their mouths afterwards. COVID-19 took out a tradition that everyone took for granted... Now you just don't breathe on the food someone else might eat.. lol.. it's totally changed the way we think of contact, social gathering, sharing food, face-to-face interaction, shopping, etc. I'm just glad things are getting better for us. It's sooo unpredictable who it will hit hard. Among our family and friends, we've seen 20 yr olds nearly die and centenaries recovering without too much fuss.

Our city is peaking right now, cases are going up so the worst has yet to come. We're home and waiting it out.... But I'm glad to play by post now that things have settled into a monotonous routine and we're just moving along one day at a time.

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

Welcome back, and best wishes to you and yours.

Male Human Swashbuckler Lvl 5

Yeah, my aunt had it. Was on oxygen, but pulled through. She already survived Polio, so she's tough!

FleetFooted Halfling 39/39 hp |Loot|The Shackles Map

Yep. Almost totally paralyzed, legs amputated, and crazy out of her mind, but she can sure tell a virus to go packing.
