I know Euron is traveling to Tennessee in May to attend a friend's wedding - not sure exactly where though.
Fiendish is in New Zealand but I'm pretty sure is a british ex-pat.
In my experience Wales is easily the least known of the countries making up the UK so I usually just point out where Swansea is since its such a small city.
Azmerai - I've always wanted to go the Munich Beer festival but never had a chance. One day....
I just checked and we've been playing this game together nearly a year now guys :)

Livingston, Tennessee, USA - but since Livingston is basically a little podunk town, I usually just mention that I live close to Cookeville, which people are likely to be much more familiar with.
I have been to Dale Hollow Lake Lenneth so I know where that is. :)
I am 45 minutes south of the Tennessee line and maybe 2 hours from Nashville.

GM Fiendish |

Polo has the right of it, I've been living in Dunedin, New Zealand for the last few years.
Before that I lived in Southampton, UK.
As to longevity of the game, I'd like to thank you guys for being so invested in the campaign :)

Euron Velren |

Like Polo, im also from Swansea. Wales is normally overlooked as we're just a small country next to england and we're always just grouped in with them.
I'll be heading to Memphis this year for a wedding in May, i've heard it gets hot around that time.

Ah, my son lives in Memphis. He got married this past summer to a girl in medical school there.
If you will be in the area long enough I invite you to come to Huntsville where you could visit the Space and Rocket center.

Hah! Small world, isn't it? I've been to the Space and Rocket Center but uh...I think I was maybe in middle school at the time so it's been a long time ago; I'm sure it's even cooler nowadays :)

Valex |

Hmmm..guess I could have stated that more clearly. By "Check the barn", I really meant "Could one of you guys with darkvision look over at the barn and see if the zombies are coming this way?"
Meh. It'll work either way...

Lenneth Barlow |
Alrighty, I'm off to sleep in preparation to work tonight. If combat happens, feel free to bot Lenneth as necessary. If things are slow I might be able to post something during the night but if not, I'll catch up Sunday after I've had some sleep :)
(Also I want to think a bit on Lenneth's next post before I write it, given what's currently happening.)

Well played Polo. Somehow I had totally forgotten about her father. Its the curse (for me anyway) of slow progress PBP games. Still, I hope we find her in such a state that only her mind is "turned". I fear she may have been reborn…

Polonius Fynch |

I think the same thing. I didn't roll diplomacy because I'm not sure I can talk her down at all. But I thought mentioning her father might appeal to whatever humanity she has left and also the last line where im talking about her father missing her is all Polo's guilt and hopes coming out.
He Would no sooner fight Kaiya than his own son.
But I'm really enjoying this either way :)

I am traveling to a small con where I will help run Pathfinder this weekend. Leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be gone through late Sunday. Wanted to give a heads up.

GM Fiendish |

If we were playing face to face, I would definitely have taken a moment to talk to my players right now. So, here it is.
There's usually a time in every campaign where things get dicey, someone suggests a dangerous course of action and a GM might say 'are you sure?'. This Walking Dead world your characters inhabit is a harsh, gritty and unpleasant one stuffed full of lethal situations, but that does not mean that it is impossible to survive. Much depends of course on a PC's beliefs and personality, what matters to them most will drive their actions, even if the likely outcome will be fatal. But when you are tired, outnumbered and low on resources, there are other options available besides 'stand and fight', especially when doing so places your character at great risk of dying.
So, when in this situation of mortal peril you have decided your next action, I have one thing left to say...are you sure?

Polonius Fynch |

The only thing I'd add Fiendish is that as much as the players know this is a real character-threatening situation but, and I can only speak for Polo here, he knows there is no way he would give the wolves a sacrifice. So even if as a player I know that's the sensible course of action role playing wise he has little option but to fight
He can't reliably make the climb check with the fatigue he suffers but he can most definitely make a few of these wolves feel the pain before they take him
Having said that I have NO problem with the deadly nature of the game and have always been of the opinion that a well placed character death can serve to heighten the drama of the story.

Valex |

I think we are going for a covered retreat more than a stand and fight, but duly noted.
Yeah, I have no problem with the lethal nature of the game, and if Valex - or all of us - go down doing things the way we want to do them, I am fine with that.
Thanks for the "Are you sure you want to do that..."moment.

I am not sure any of us can reliably make climb checks with both fatigue and fear effects. I do not think retreat is a reasonable option. With lots of time we could rope in, but as it is my climb check is at -5. And normally you climb at 1/4 speed. So with full round actions that is 4 climb checks needed to make it across. So I have to roll 15 or better 4 times to make the climb across. And a single 10 or lower means I fall to my death. So some simple probability tells me that I'll make it .81% of the time and fall to my death 93.475% of the time. So about 5.5 % of the time I'll get halfway across and fail a roll but not fall. The point is the chances for me to fall are almost 100 times greater than to make it across.
Edit: Statistics in action - I think Valex just fell. I strongly recommend no one try to cross.

Euron Velren |

Euron's plan was to get everyone across, he wants to believe everyone will make it but he's ready to stand and die to save the others. Yah and Euron is never going to make the climb check so he would rather the others survive.
I like the situation you've put us in while hard it brings about some hard choices. (And we sort of brought this on ourselves to i love it)
It's a dc 10? so he fails to move?

![]() |

Polo, I am not sure what you have in mind. The bridge will kill most of us if we just try to cross it. I am no better than Valex at climbing. Better to stand and fight. The white is blind. And the others should start going down one or two a round.

Lenneth Barlow |
Thanks everyone, I'm feeling better. Mainly just needed some time to decompress and a LOT of sleep. Before I post for Lenneth, I will say that she can use her Flight hex to levitate herself, her gear, Indigo, and...one other person down into the ravine, to possible safety. It's an option if we want to take it. It only affects her though, so she couldn't have used it to keep Valex & Kaiya from falling, sadly...
Thoughts?

Polonius Fynch |

Thanks guys. That means a lot and I genuinely mean it. I've grown attached to all these characters and we've had an amazing time.
Polo is preparing to sacrifice himself so the others can get away and hopefully make sense of all this :(
Also, poor Valex. Be seeing you soon, bro

Right. I say we stand as a team and fight this out. With the right die rolls we can win. I have not read the game posts yet though and Polo may have already done something brave and rash. I am almost afraid to look. :)

"Smoke um if you got um." is my current moto. Lilith is fatigued and frightened, but still has a few resources. Its silly to die with resources, so she is using them.
As far as doing something interesting goes, she just cast an evil spell in the service of Desna. That could stir things up too. :)
