The Walking Dead of Golarion is now one year old, Happy Anniversary my wonderful players :)
Lenneth, Azmerai and Lilith are the only remaining characters from the very beginning. Along the way you've lost Turrey, Shomari, Valex and Polonius, gaining Euron and most recently Flynn and Lives.
You've seen fire ravage an entire town and burn it to the ground, been bitten and somehow survived by the grace of some unknown power, discovered a secret prison for undead entities best left buried, chosen to influence the society of a goblin tribe instead of destroying it, ridden on a beautiful swan boat (and nearly had Euron drowned by water-logged groaners), found a nice community that seems to be doing its best to rebuild (hush you disbelievers in the back!), found clues that Polo's son is still alive, and had several dreams with portents that have come to pass.
Some easter eggs from the last year... we've seen or heard of versions of Tsuto Kaijitsu, Ameiko Kaijitsu, Shayliss Vinder, Aldern Foxglove and Shalelu Andosana from Rise of the Runelords. Tali explained the state of the Darklands when she tried to get back underground, which might explain what happened to any drow from Second Darkness...
...An old man with a scraggly white beard...
...a large, ripped sack lies discarded on top of a scarred wooden sled that has seen better days...
...crudely carved antlers...
...sled looks to have been designed to be drawn by a team of animals...
...Euron lifts his foot and spots a small silver bell embedded in the mud. It looks to have been part of the harness...
... His faded crimson clothes, fur-trim now a muddied yellow-brown...
...at least you didn't have to fight a zombified version ;p
Thank you for making it a joy to click the 'My Campaigns' link :)

LOL @ the spoiler, I totally did not pick up on that at all!
On a more serious note, this game and the Carrion Crown game that I'm in are the only two of my original round of campaigns as a PbP newbie to make it a whole year. The past year of gaming with everyone (both new and old) has been a blast and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next year (I hope) and beyond has in store for us :)

I so do not remember that spoiler.

Ha! I didn't make that connection either! Nice
Happy anniversary guys!

Azmerai |

After spending the day in the zoo, I did learn a few things.
First of all, if we do not start creating food, we are in deep trouble.
There are 2 great options. One is the goat. A clever beast, she did steal my wives lunch sandwich, and almost mine, wich were inside our babybuggy, they do offer milk, we also means cheese, but also they are clever and fast enough to escape from the groaners and are also incredibly hardy, able to survive from grass. If we manage to capture a decent herd, we do have one major problem solved. The others are geniua pigs. They do not eat much and reproduce like mad. They made it possible for the inkas to survive high in the andes.
Second... we need salt. Mainly to make food eadeble for longer time.
Third we need timber. I do remember there is a woodmill in sandpoint, but that would be too far away.
Well as soon as we have the raw materials, our wizard should be able to start producing saws and axes to start the timber proces. Wich should also help us to fortify solace.

I am in Breckenridge Colorado for a quick ski trip. I hope to have time to post some, but that did not happen this first travel day.

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Ok I'm going to talk a little meta here.
I think the best things we can do are speak to Ashleigh and Tabitha to see what really happened in that store room.
Second, I think we would benefit from seeing what the council keep in their chambers/quarters though that is quite obviously going to turn them against us if we are caught.
Third, there are still sections of Solace that are unexplored (I think)
Also, I think someone should tell Shayliss, Ashleigh and Tabitha that Polo and Valex aren't coming back. I think they were all taken with them in one way or another

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Well those are the actions I think we should take. Lillith has gone to speak to the girls already.
Flynn is just going to wander about, not knowing that some of the places he has gone to are off limits (unless he comes across a locked door in which case he can't get in anyway)

![]() |

Lilith has asked to go talk to the girls, and is going to be pretty insistent about it, but she has not gone yet. She could use some help. It was a big flag to me when we were asked not to talk to them because it might upset them. I think there was an attempt on their life and likely a murder as well.

Guys, I'm letting all my games know that I'm going on a three week holiday from the 12th May. The chances are I will be able to post periodically throughout that time but it's going to be a pretty packed holiday so it will be time-permitting.
Just giving you the heads up know while I'm booking trips online :)

Flynnvas Merryweather |

First time to the states so headed to New York, San Francisco and Vegas :D

Azmerai |

Awesome idea. We went on my honeymoon first to NY than to San Fran. BTW there is a great little shop in san francisco for miniatures. I could cherrypick my pathfinder miniatures there. The one in NY is a little small and tiny but also decent. Well that is if you want to shop some pathfinder stuff. Never been to Vegas though.

![]() |

Hope you have a blast. I have never been off for three week in a row ever. Hard for me to imagine it. :)
When you are in New York you will only be 980 miles from my house in northern Alablam. :)

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Me either. I have never had a two week holiday even!!
980 miles, pfft, that's nothing. Put the kettle on, I'll be over for tea :)

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Staying just off Times Square in NY and we do have a pass to go to the top of the Rock so I'm sure we'll stop by the lego store :)
Planet Hollywood in Vegas so we are right on the strip. Cannot wait :E

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Hell let's just switch this game to tabletop!! Fiendish can run it by Skype lol

![]() |

People should be cautious when suggesting that I stop by to visit them, because I'll do it. :). I have met 6 of my PBP judges so far and one was in Prague. 2 were at Gen Con so I am not sure that really counts.

![]() |

I wanted to give a heads up that I will be traveling from Friday after work through late Monday and my posting will be light and in the evenings, if at all. I should be back to normal Tuesday. Please GMbot me if needed.

Looks like Lenneth is the only one of us skilled at Sense Motive. Is it possible/reasonable to question each person here long enough to catch the guilty one(s) in a lie with Lenneth's skill of +9? What can we do to bolster her skill? I guess she can hex them with Evil Eye for -2 to skills to help overcome a bluff?

GM Fiendish |

Not to mention that official council sanction or not, hexing someone with the evil eye would be the equivalent of assault, a magical drug to increase interrogation results... the kind of things secret police would do, not people of good character.
I'm not saying you can't do that or something like it, it's entirely up to you how to play your characters! I'm just reminding you that the community would likely withdraw its trust in you as impartial investigators should you resort to such immoral tactics.

![]() |

Not feeling trusted anyway at the moment. But I do see your point. I was unsure if someone would even know they had been under a hex, but am good with your view of it. Also, while she is trying to reform, Lilith is of neutral alignment and from the courts of Cheliax. Such tactics would be the norm for her. :)
Alas, the idea is moot.

![]() |

You see what happened? Back in Cheliax we would have rounded up everyone immediately and no one would have wandered off. :)

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Yeah. The Hellknights would have found the culprit in no time.

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Yeah but there were there so..... you know, they probably know something.

Flynnvas Merryweather |

I'm not sure. People aren't just going to confess to wrong doing.
I guess we want to know if anyone has seen anything strange, if they can be accounted for when Finas was attacked etc
A bolder plan might be to play on Radek's poisoning. Someone must be trying to slowly debilitate or kill him. It might be interesting to tell the community he died, see the reaction of individuals and also see if anyone tries to leave in the next few days to report that to their superiors
-Posted with Wayfinder

Lenneth Barlow |
As far as the poisoning thing goes, that could be interesting but that would hinge on talking Nikolai (pretty sure he's the only one being poisoned but I could be wrong) into hiding out in the Council's chambers. It certainly might be worth exploring, but I think it would be a difficult sell...not to mention I don't think we're going to have time to talk to him about it for the next little bit ;)

Lenneth Barlow |
Whoops, do we want to put a hold on the questioning for the moment? Based on the timing, seems that Flynn hasn't been gone for very long so I'm not sure if Lenneth has had time to really talk to anyone yet. I can go either way, but thought I'd check since I'd like to know before I make a post...but if I don't hear anything after a bit I'll go ahead and whip something up since I don't want to stall too long on this :)

Flynnvas Merryweather |

Ah I meant Nikolai.
I'm not a 100% sure what we can ask to root these people out so I still think the poisoning ruse is worth exploring.
The other thing is that Flynn knows where (roughly) these bandits/cultists are so in the morning we could go after them.

![]() |

My thought on the question was to examine and cross examine people about poisoning, the undead in the supply closet, growing of that plant, etc, until you catch someone in a lie. If you sense untruth then we follow that were it leads. Maybe simple cover ups and maybe major reveals.

![]() |

Sorta at a loss as to how to move forward. Lilith is down her spells and does not trust the leaders here. She is close to the attitude that the group should just leave, wait a few days, and then come back and claim the place when everyone here is dead.

Lenneth Barlow |
Lenneth would really like to try and salvage the situation, but she's not sure of how...going after Violet seems the obvious option but most of us are still down spells as you point out, plus that leaves Solace at the mercy of whoever our traitor is (or are traitors are). But based on what Flynn has learned, it's pretty likely that these bandits and/or the Way will make some raid or attack against the place eventually.
Though if it all goes to pot and the group survives, she'd also be for trying to track down Polo's son...actually, even if things are salvaged here, she'd still be for doing that.

Euron Velren |

Euron won't leave, a place like this is something hes been out looking for since it all started.
I think we need to talk this out though. The first thing is making it safe and thats dealing with this traitor/s while seeing to our defence, losing Violet is bad but right now we need to focus we can ask why she was out there after all this.
