Two vast double doors, each ten feet in width, stand in the southern wall of this barren chamber. The face of each black stone door is covered with tens of thousands of tiny runes carved in an eerie, spidery script. The runes seem to writhe and slither about when not under direct observation.

The script is shifting and confusing, drawing you in with warnings that seem vague at first and then more specific - you see a broad plateau that you know is somehow beyond dreams and there you find a large building, abandoned save for a lumpish figure robed in yellow silk with red and having a yellow silken mask over its face. You see this lurker in the dark acknowledging you by raising a disgustingly carven flute of ivory in silk covered paws and blowing certain loathsome sounds from beneath its flowing silken mask.
The sounds speak of terrible things: a land where the rules of the Prime Material Plane cease to exist and terrifying ancient creatures - far older than Golarion itself - rule with absolute authority. You see the shape of armies marshalling and black junks floating on a river of stars to a city buried beneath the earth. You know that to visit this place, or to have this place visit Golarion, invites disaster on even the most powerful of mortals.
Trotter, Avoreal and Vuvu are staring at the door, appearing to study it. And then they keep doing it, their mouths hanging open and their eyes glazing over. Unless you interrupt them they will spend as long as a half hour studying the strange door. Please tell me if you want to open the doors and how much time you wait before you act.

The plain stone walls of this long room are lined by a variety of tables, boxes, crates, and cylinders. Some are made of stone, but others appear to be composed of metal. Strange winding cables protrude from some to connect to others. All of this clutter seems to focus upon a large metal framework constructed at the southern end of the room, where strange currents of energy dance and shimmer within a strange ring of stone. Now and then, these currents coalesce into shapes-images startling for their familiarity and yet totally alien.
The image revealed is of a massive city of towers and gigantic monuments set in a mountain valley at the foot of a huge peak-Xin-Shalast, as it would appear from this high mountain vista. The city beyond the energy curtain is very different, however, in that its towers and buildings are ablaze with light both magical and mundane and the great central road and surrounding streets teem with tens of thousands of giants and humanoids of all descriptions. The sounds and even the smells of this strange metropolis waft through the image-an image that is, perhaps, trying to be an open window.
A number of figures shrouded in tattered leather robes stand around; these strange humanoid looks more alien and horrific the more one studies their twitching visages.
In front of a them however a gaunt, long-limbed quadruped has huge, soulless eyes and a toothy maw. The lean creature moves with a predatory grace.

The robed creatures appear to be creatures from the near-mythical plane of Leng. They are known to attack with a bite that causes people to become clumsy and to be incredibly resistant to both cold and electricity. Their anatomy is rumored to vary from person to person and even the most devastating of blows is only half-likely to cause the requisite damage.
The giant monster on the other hand confounds you. It looks a bit - a bit - like a Hound of Tindalos but it isn't one. They're known to be resistant to non-magic weapons and poison, as well as being immune to mind-affecting spells due to their brains bizarre structure. It's form wavers in and out like it is trying to form inside the room but is failing to do so. You watch its form fade as you enter the room.
