Although unlocked the door opens with a hideous creak as Merelda attempts to peer inside. Inside Merelda sees four more cultists seated and standing around tending carefully to their sycthes.
They all turn and one catches Merelda's eyes. "INTRUDER!" is all he yells as he rushes to the door.

Hearing her cue to act, Amigail rushes the building. Seeing four cultists and fighting space at a premium, she tries to tumble into the corner before launching an attack.

Amigail finds herself in the room and swings her falcata at the first cultist she can. The blade catches the cultist across his leg and you watch as the man grimaces under the pain.
Behind her Amigail hears Mereleda's tirade of profanities rip past her like a hundred shards of glass. One by one the cultists' clothes catch on fire filling the room with smoke and screams of pain.
Merleda lets loose a ray of flame missing the frantic cultist. Lilllinda preps her spell and moves closer but holds the charge waiting for a better angle.

The cultists try to gather their wits and then attack in tandem with two on Merelda and the other on Amigail. One is able to swing the scythe striking Merelda. 8 points of damage on Merelda

Realizing there was a fight suddenly going on Cassandra quickly moved up to get into position to strike at their enemies.
Can't get to a place I can attack from unfortunately but I should be able to threaten at least one or two of them there.

Amigail cuts down the cultist in front of her and then turns her attention to the next cultist.
Artsiv appears behind the cultist directly in front of Merleda and attempts rip out the man's eyes but fends it off with his scythe. Seeing the opening Merleda swings Hazrakul catches the man just across the waist.
Lillinda causes an oily substance to appear under the feet of the cultists causing the one directly in front of Merelda to fall down. He gets up intent on swinging his scythe Merelda, Artsiv and Amigail can make AOO vs red.
Innis casts a protective barrier to surround Merleda.

Cassandra heard what Innis demanded and rolled her eyes at the woman's attitude. Regardless of her personal feelings Cass did as asked and, rather than strike a potentially lethal blow, she moved into the room quickly and lashed out with the flat of her blade at the man's ankles in an effort to trip him to the ground.

Her strike was perfect and she hooked his legs and made him fall to the floor spinning as he went.

Innis continues swiftly coordinating her team.
"We'll deal with him later. Catch up with Cinder then straight to the next building. Kirzon, follow her while we finish this up."
You have enough time to check the next building and deal with whatever is in there then my mastery spell will likely run out.

Merelda heads out to find Cinder just flying out of the pit. There is no sense of danger down the pit but Merelda gets the feeling that Cinder is uneasy about whatever lies down there. Cinder also indicates that the pit fairly deep.

As the cultist rose Cassandra lashed out at him again in order to try and convince him it was a bad idea.

She dealt a far harsher blow than expected though as the cultist took the full brunt of her glaive across one shoulder and down to the opposing hip. She looked on in shock at the man unbelieving that she actually hit someone that hard.
If I missed the AoO chance we'll just call that a straight attack this round, only lowers the to hit rolls by 1pt.

Innis |

Innis is surprised by the sudden ill-timed flash of violence from Cassandra. A mixture of frayed nerves and frustration sending this man to a premature oblivion.
"What a waste." she comments at the set back.
She rallies quickly as there will hopefully be another opportunity. "Amigail you're up. Check for threats if nothing we regroup with Merelda." She says indicating the trapdoor in the ceiling.

"Sure thing," Amigail replies to Innis, sheathing her falcata in preparation for her ladder climb. As her foot touches the first rung, however, the swordswoman hesitates.
"Um...can you maybe use a spell to make sure there's not some sort of magic trap up there waiting to zap me as soon as I touch it?" With a sheepish smile, Ami adds, "They are called trapdoors, after all."

The cultist drops immediately as Cassandra pulls the bloodied tip of the glaive from the body.
Innis shakes her head and turns her attention to the trapdoor. No magic seems to trap the door.
Outside Merelda drops a stone into the hole. The smell from the hole almost makes her head away but she waits as the stone drops into surrounding darkness.
The stone is still dropping at the end of your turn Merelda. Did you want to wait for it to hit the ground?
