How far do you want Cinder to fly? Do you want him to look around the plaza or is he getting a view of the city from up above?

Cinder flies up and begins to circle around the plaza while the maddening cackles and shrieks continue from the heads in the platform.

As Cinder flies around Merelda you do not feel any fear pass over your link with Cinder.

When Cinder lands in your palm he dances about letting you know there are many birds about but they are doing nothing.

The sound is maddening and as it continues you watch Amigail, Cassandra and Boros all take a step back as they move into the plaza. Yndryssa ignores the animated head and looks back at the group. Seeing the look in some of their eyes she comments to Innis, "You travel with such weak minded companions. Are you sure you expect to reach Azrenar?"

"It's interesting that you continue to feel the need to underestimate us given what your lofty ambitions have earned you. To few sources of entertainment in undeath I suppose." Innis returns Yndryssa comment with nonchalance.

"When we end Azrenar this entire domain will be yours and Xaeen's I suppose. We need not be enemies surely there must be something more you want rather than an eternity of study in a dusty tower? Prove yourself valuable and I might just feel generous enough to offer you a boon. If we die horribly well you lose nothing, gambling on me is always a win."

With Cinder back you cautiously move into the plaza with Kirzon and Yndryssa leading the way. The shrieking has not ceased and it still continues even as you move deeper into the plaza. The ravens look upon you as silent observers almost as if frozen with each step you take.

You have made it about half way into the plaza when the shrieking ends. It's silence is soon replaced by the flight of several dozen undead ravens as they fly above the plaza.

BOOM! an explosion rips your attention away from the ravens in the sky filling the plaza with the smell of fire and brimstone. When it clears you see standing in the middle of the platform stage an infernal humanoid with a long beard wielding a sinister glaive.

It sneers at the group it's eyes full of malicious intent ready to punish you for entering the ruins. From the corner of your eye you also see the ravens begin to fly down towards you.

Merelda. Your Turn.

Merelda the ravens have formed into a swarm. With birds of any sort you know that they will likely attack an enemy's eyes.

The infernal creature is a bearded devil. A creature such as this has resistance to spells, immune to fire and poison. It can summon other creatures from it's plane of the Nine Hells. Offensively it will use it's beard as a weapon and is able to teleport at will.

Yndryssa hisses at the group "Spread out you fools. Or the ravens and the devil will lead to your ruin!" the creature moves to one of the walls of the plaza and uses one of her wands on herself. You watch as some of her bones begin to mend.

Alchemist’s fire is a mix of several volatile liquids that ignite when exposed to air. You can throw a flask of alchemist’s fire as a splash weapon. Treat this attack as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet.A direct hit deals 1d6 points of fire damage. Every creature within 5 feet of the point where the flask hits takes 1 point of fire damage from the splash. On the round following a direct hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 points of damage. If desired, the target can use a full-round action to attempt to extinguish the flames before taking this additional damage. Extinguishing the flames requires a DC 15 Reflex save. Rolling on the ground provides the target a +2 bonus on the save. Leaping into a large body of water or magically extinguishing the flames automatically smothers the fire.

NOTE: If he makes the AoO and misses, can I use my teleport ability as a swift action and still finish my charge? Or would that interrupt it? The stairs to the platform is on the other side where Anigail and Cassandra entered from so yes the platform is risen at least 5 ft. As per charge rules;

You must have a clear path toward the opponent, and nothing can hinder your movement (such as difficult terrain or obstacles). You must move to the closest space from which you can attack the opponent. If this space is occupied or otherwise blocked, you can’t charge. If any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can’t charge.

That the platform is risen constitutes the difficult terrain or obstacle But like I said I will allow it this once so no worries

"Hmph! Fine then, take this!" Lililinda shouts in annoyance, drawing her wand of Admonishing Ray an zapping at the devil. "Xaeen, dear, help me teach this boorish lout a lesson!"

Kirzon moves slowly away from the sound of the pecking ravens. Moved 20 feet.

@Kirzon: Boros should have a flanking bonus to hit from Merelda, but he should also be shaken...so I guess that evens out? However, can't you change into some animal that can see without its eyes? Like a bat? Or use that healing wand I thought you were holding on to to heal the damage so you can see again?

Cinder begins circling the melee at a short distance, waiting for his chance to help again.

Good ideas. If the healing wand will help with the blindness, Kirzon will do that instead. He won't be much use in animal form because he can't cast spells in that form.

Kirzon you are confidant that no lower level healing spell other than cure blindness will cure your sight. You will need to let them heal on their own

FYI: You mean Remove Blindness/Deafness right? That's a third level healing spell none of us can cast, nor is it even on the Druid spell list.

correct Merelda

As a fallback, Kirzon can still chuck summons out there while blinded. This just doesn't seem like the battle for that.

DM Screen:

direction of swarm: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Xaeen moves out of the swarm of ravens heading closer to Lililinda. With little to do stands her ground conserving her spells.

On the platform Merelda disappears only to reappear on the other side of the devil. The display does not alarm the devil and you watch it preparing to attack Merelda again when Boros strikes the devil! Boros' fangs sink into the devil's tough hide allowing it to then quickly wrap it's body around the devil.

Lililinda looses the magic from her wand at the devil, but the spell fizzles out as soon as it hits the infernal creature.

In the back Innis continues to antagonize the devil dredging up things that are better left unspoken ever again.

Merelda, Yndryssa, Amigail and Cassandra. Your turn.
