Amigail Trentwell |

Quite impressive! I'd like to think Amigail's added a dozen or so posts to that total that weren't just swings-and-misses.

Innis |

Couple of close calls but the game hasn't gotten the better of us yet. Good Job Team! It's been nice to watch the group evolve from tavern dwelling patrons to something resembling a team of adventurers.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Verrrryyy interesting.
I'm wondering if the GM is interested in continuing with us after we complete the game.
=)

GM Aumakua |

I don't know you guys are trouble makers hehehehe...but we'll see :)

GM Aumakua |

How many of you are interested in continuing:
a) with the same characters
b) new characters
c) not at all.
It will give me a better idea of what to do next.

Cassandra Leigh |

I'm interested as well. Just not sure if I choose A or B. This character has potential I just have a hard time playing melee types. Cass might be more enjoyable if I tweak her build a bit before a new game so I'll think on that aspect.

Innis |

If I survive I'd lean towards "A" I've had a lot of fun with Innis. She's got the heart for adventure if nothing else.
Like what Cass said though maybe allowing characters to be able to re-train a lvl or two to tweak their builds might be a good idea.
looks like an even split...
A - 2
Open / undecided - 2
B - 2
I do have ideas for other characters so i'd be willing to retire innis if she gets a solid conclusion in this story. But right now she's got me charmed.

Cassandra Leigh |

I also don't see why everyone needs to make new characters or keep the same ones, I figured it was kind of a choice each of us could make independently if we continue.

GM Aumakua |

@Cassandra Not everyone does but it allows me to create a tie in and it also allows me figure what level I should be working with or campaign settings.
I have a sand box adventure that I've been wanting to send a party through hmmm me thinks I have an idea. Ok stay tuned!!

Innis |

Cool so after the Calistria "Sister's" save Cassomir we'll be on to bigger and better things ;P
Beware world we'll take you by storm!

Innis |

Taking Innis' advice seriously, Merelda immediately launches her worst magic at the creature!
So we all get to die because we can't roll for s~&#. Lovely.
You lot arn't allowed to die I've got bigger plans for you. Just trust in Innis. Unless she's lying, which is like 95% of what I do....
Strategy Edit
@kirzon: you can keep Boros fighting but do so defensibly until you get that grapple once that happens everyone goes in for the kill. Else back him up and let Cass tank as per original plan
Guidance if anyone has this spell and nothing better to do cast it on Innis(if she attacks), Boros, Cassandra in that order of priority.
like i said in game though everyone is free to do as they choose follow Innis' strategies as you please. Especially since Calistria knows Innis is just gunna do whatever Innis feels like doing

Innis |

@Amigail careful you see how much damage this thing can do. I'm going to try and make the raptor safer to fight but until then mind your health and focus on defense or aid-other checks (for ac or attack+) to not provoke it's aggression. No solo heroics need to fight as a team.

Innis |

@Merry & Kirzon if you can get in there slowly and safely and focus on Aid another for defense against the target of the megaraptos attack we should be able to slay it safely. if my gambit with cass dosn't pay off.
This should be our way of dealing with most single target major threats, spellcasters can help create openings for the sword swingers to go for an all out attack. We really need to play defensive minded going forward.

Innis |

Kirzon continues to heal Amigail.
[dice=CMW]2d8+3. Anyone know how many charges left?
8 used out of 19

Amigail Trentwell |

Hey Amigail, I think you should actually have a +9 to your attack. 4BAB + 4Dex +1 Enhancement.
I should've switched Ami to a Rondelero Swashbuckler when I joined this group but my laziness cost me. I don't have all my books with me but I'm pretty sure that mere fighters can't finesse a falcata.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

She can always retrain into Rondelero after this game, if the GM allows it.

Innis |

...I'm thinking one more encounter and we rest.
I think you are probably right, not sure who has spells / abilities left
Merry i think used most of hers
Lili i think is fine atm
Not sure how much you've got left in the tank Kirzon

Innis |

We are heading deeper into the Pit. The change of landscape likely means a change of foes. Good to hear you have spells Kirzon. Also curse you for keeping me honest i guess i'll finish healing (grumbles). The infinite power of the multi-class character (and more wands than a person can sensibly use) will get me through the day.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

I think I've used all of my 2nd level spells, and I think I have 1 or 2 left of 1st level. I still have my singe Judgement left for the day that I haven't used yet.
We are so used to getting attacked by zombies, we never thought about regular animal attacks.

GM Aumakua |

GM will throw you all a bone. Forgive me if I am cryptic with this guy.
Here are my hints:
Others have passed before you but how?
(Or look at it from this perspective)
Why were others allowed to pass?
Bonus hint
Who do you know that has passed?
Discuss it here than you can write down your actions.

Amigail Trentwell |

I came late to this party, but...wasn't there some priestess or servant of the death/disease god you folks defeated, captured, and interrogated right before Amigail joined up? Did she have a holy symbol? Is there anything else cult-related in the loot list? (Do we even have a loot list?)

Kirzon |
That is a really good idea. We have a holy symbol of Maramaga (actually more than one). Gameplay post 2303.
While Merelda once again reveals to the party the darker, more imbalanced side of her persona the others move to investigate the rooms.
Kirzon is able to find the following on the cultists:
two sets iron lamellar armor bloodied but still serviceable
two scythes in fairly good condition one still minted with Merelda's blood. On the main cultist he finds:
a set of steel lamellar armor that radiates magic
a light darkwood shield
a finely crafted sickleYou also find a vial containing an ochre coloured liquid
a silver symbol bearing the sign of Maramaga – a two-headed vulture, staring in opposite directions. In his coin purse it holds 21 sp, 17 gp, 2 pp and a gold ring set with a matched pair of moonstones (this does not radiate magic).
Someone want to try flashing it?

Innis |

@GM yea Innis opened up dialogue there didn't seem to be anything resembling a hint or environmental queues before it asked for proof. Can't read minds....yet...
Technically we don't know anyone has passed(certainly not anyone living) we've encountered Maramaga followers(who we have not encountered since the beginning of the journey), then the thieves guild at the mortuary but guarding the entry to this decent was Rovagug's followers.
But sure the soundest guess would be Maramaga's followers. The thieves guild was largely irrelevant to the grand scheme of things and Rovagug wouldn't bother with subtly.
Kirzon i think is on the right track naming Azrenar so the question is why him. He's a noble of House Varza which was systematically eliminated which had a claim to the Primogen crown and then became a follower of Maramaga.
@Kirzon thought about it but Innis wouldn't carry something like that around. Unless she had to and only then for short term. Unless someone specifically claimed it we do not have it as you let the cleric decide the loot. Thus symbols of the enemy would be pointedly ignored or destroyed.
...demanded the sacrifice of the old, the infirm and the weak. Her
hatred for the elderly and those dependent on others knew few bounds... In return for bountiful harvests, she continually demanded blood sacrifice, coming to value only the strong and the virile, which formed her new priesthood.

Innis |

That's the best or worse idea i can come up with. But in this case i'd like consent before i damage another player at least in this case...
Anyone else who has a better plan better field it. This is what you get, Chaotic @!$#%^-Neutral. Oh she also hates druids Kirzon is like the embodiment of sweet candy to this goddess.
Edit: Just rolled intimidate for flavor but considering the roll ya'll better come up with an alternative quick

Innis |

I thought about keeping it as part of a disguise honestly. But (shrug)...i'm far from perfect. That's why I need someone to help keep me honest.
Also maybe just little bit of blood we dont need to drain you...(oh my god am I a vampire now...)

Innis |

From our first fight...
Grabbing the necklace carefully, Merelda pulls it free and tosses it to Innis.
"Do you recognize this symbol at all? I've never seen it like."
Curse you Merelda for keeping me honest! We might not need to sacrifice err kill um bleed kirzon after all. But are we sure this is the answer we want to give? no other plans?

Innis |

Sorry dont want to keep spamming the gameplay forum everytime i think of something to add this should be that last thing...
Merry I think going forward and for this encounter we should also say Cinder is loaded with an alchemist fire. That way he has a weapon that he can drop on enemies or use it to signal danger if need be.
