That's fine it sounds look a good idea but he will get a 20% miss chance. There needs to be enough impact to break the vial so he would need to be at a relative decent height to do so. 20% means the vial just does not break so it will be reusable if necessary.

Cinder, Wasp Familiar |

I don't have problem with that, but do we have any alchemist's fire? I didn't know we had some.

GM Aumakua |

That I can't be certain of Innis is the quartermaster of the party.

Equipment update
Alchemist fire x10 ( x5 Ami, x5 Merry )
Cure serious wounds potion (Ami)
Curse all of you for never updating your character sheets =P
You would all be dead, lost and fighting with twigs without me!

Amigail Trentwell |

Ami takes a moment to clean out her backpack, raising her eyebrows in thankful appreciation for the presence of five jars of alchemist's fire she had forgotten were tucked inside. Frowning a bit, she removes a couple of twigs that somehow got inside.

Innis |

i swear on Calistria's Magnificent and Vengeful Rack if you forgot about the potion of heroism, countless eyes AND Cure serious wounds potion i gave you Amigail Trentwell. i'll kill you myself out of seer petulance.
I wont even bother rolling intimidate we all know i'm just going to roll a 20

Cassandra Leigh |

But what about me Mistresses? Am I no longer fun?

Innis |

Cassandra I've been trying to get you to drink that Shield of Faith potion(always use protection) and get up an personal with our enemies for a mortal age!
Instead you reject it like bad medicine and choose the lowly position of pole-dancer. Our clients (enemies) want to cop a feel but you're too shy, a tease. Instead you let Amigail and Merelda do all the heavy lifting! 9-Hells even i had a lay down recently.
~heavy exhale~
Wow i suddenly feel much better

Innis |

So we've got questions to ask this dwarf fellow can we as a team decide what we want to ask him since our questions seem like they are limited.
I'd like to know (in order of priority)
how to release the curse of the Reaping Sickness
How might one look upon the true face of the Lord of The Burning Tower or break this curse?
- This is a game rule one you never don't go where you're told not to go. We will follow any and all trails of blood...
Less perilous(unguarded by undead or Maramaga's followers) ways back to the surface as we might need to resupply at somepoint
Also does this axe Hzarakul mean anything to our scholars?

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

1. Quickest way to our goal?
2. Our worst enemy's greatest weakness?
3. Any help down here?

Cinder, Wasp Familiar |

1. Any female giant wasps down here?(What...? Cinder has needs too.)

Kirzon |
I'm worried about "quickest way to our goal" because the quickest way might be the most lethal.
Here's my list of preferred questions, constructed out of everyone's suggestions. We should start with information the dwarf is likely to know.
1. How shall we recognize the path of the Burning Tower? (That's a reformulation of Amigail's question.)
2. How may we look upon the true face of the lord of these lands?
3. Where may we find aid in our quest to release the curse of the Reaping Sickness?
4. How can we best defeat Azrenar of House Varza?

Kirzon |
I agree we should ask grounded questions, which is why we should lead with the specific topics he's mentioned--the Burning Tower and the lord of these lands. I also assume he's seen Azrenar come back and forth, so he might have something to share on that front. I also think we will learn how to end the Reaping Sickness once we find the cause of it. Here's my revised proposed list of questions, which I'm hoping people can agree on. I've taken a question from each person.
1. How shall we recognize the path of the Burning Tower? (Amigail)
2. How may we look upon the true face of the lord of these lands? (Innis)
3. What is Azrenar's greatest weakness (Merelda)
By the way, I think GM Aumakua gave us a hint by favoriting Amigail's post.

Amigail Trentwell |

Questions sound good to me.
By the way, I think GM Aumakua gave us a hint by favoriting Amigail's post.
I'm not so sure. He may have been amused by her snarkiness of implying, "Don't speak in riddles about which path we should take: Just say Left, Right, First, or Second."

Lililinda |

It might be that this Lord in his Burning Tower has nothing to do with our plague. That’s a bit of info we need

Innis |

I'd stlll like to meet with him anyway i think we can put the clues together if we can ensure our safety.

Kirzon |
Is it bad that Kirzon just wants a shiny new axe? I mean, his tree-cutting days are over, but . . .
:P
My interpretation of the ghosts' words is that the shortest path is the one straight through the ruins, which would force an encounter with the Lord of the Tower. We have been warned that doom awaits, but also told that it would be a boon if we can look upon the Lord's face. So we need to choose between going through the ruins or going around them.
Does that sound right to others?

Innis |

I feel like there will be an off-path branching from the road at some point leading to the ruins. While continuing on the road will lead us to the temple. For now let's just move forward and interpret things as we see them with this knowledge in mind.
We shouldn't chance a meeting the this Lord until we know for sure we've seen his true face. He might not necessarily be in possession of his head. Also helps to know that he opposed Maramaga. The enemy of my enemy...
Our primary objective is still the temple we'll try and establish a foothold there. Maybe there will be clues as to where The Lord of the Burning Tower's face is in there. Better than risking absolute doom as curious as i am.

Amigail Trentwell |

'Face' could also refer to a mask. We don't have one in the loot pile, do we? Or maybe Amigail's backpack, if I forgot to record it? :)

Innis |

Oh yea that's right! Right next to the Remedy of Scythe Mother's Plague I gave you a while back ;p
Don't use it though I still want the GM to think he has a fighting chance.
But yes as a Wearer-of-Many-Faces faces I am aware face could mean a mask. Quite astute for a warrior to pick up on.

Amigail Trentwell |

But yes as a Wearer-of-Many-Faces faces I am aware face could mean a mask. Quite astute for a warrior to pick up on.
Thank you.
...wait a sec. Was that sarcasm?

Innis |

Ok ladies and gent i don't think i should make this important a decision on my own.
Innis wrote:"Secondly how might we find the True Face of the Lord of the Burning Tower. What marks the tower's path?""If you seek salvation from the Scythe Mother then find the true face of the Burning Lord so that he might look upon it and find some freedom. The face holds powerrrr..." and with that the dwarf dissipates leaving no sign he was ever there.
There was also that bit about and danger and doom...
"Two paths will come before you...Though both lead to danger one leads to absolute doom...Do not take the path to the burning tower...that is the domain of the lord of these lands. ..Only those that look upon his true face may find safety from his axe Hzarakul.."
I Think face hunting is the way to go now that we know the direction of The Temple and The Face. I think the absolute doom thing only applies if we can't find the face and provoke a meeting with the Lord (especially if we didn't have the knowledge of this curse prior). We also don't know how far down this path the Lord of the Burning Tower is. I doubt we get instant-killed the second we step on the path.
I think we should travel down the southeast passage, look around and keep the augury wand "Hot and Colding" us as we look for this face. While obviously not entering the Tower if we come across it without good reason.
Thoughts? Purely OOC.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

I'll go with consensus. Merelda might not like it, and she has real issues with such supernatural creatures, but she's not stupid either. She can't make it on her own.

DM Aumakua |

Hey all I got locked out of my account...Innis was supposed to tell you.
I'll continue with this avatar until they restore my other account.

Been sick it slipped my mind
In order to defeat the Scythe Mother we need to restore the True Face of the DM. The face holds power...

Innis |

Pack raptor's aren't going to stop us. Megaraptor ain't gunna slow us. Gave you a spring in your step to quell your fatigue. Nothing is stopping the Innis-Train we're going express to Whooping-Maragama's-Behind. Keep a hold of your trousers folks.

Innis |

Ok if the axe dosn't get us through I've got one guess in me now that i've had some time to think about this...
Edit: You'll be happy to know it doesn't involve sacrificing our dwarf companion....this time...

DM Aumakua |

As an aside Im running a 5e DnD campaign I potentially have one more spot open if anyone is interested. Takes place in Frog God Games: Lost Lands setting.
Your knowledge of the setting is not necessary and if you are beginner to 5e rule set thats fine as well.
As an added bonus you will be playing with Kirzon and Innis and of course have me as your storyteller hehe.
Let me know if you are interested.

Cinder, Wasp Familiar |

Curious...but I only have the basic 5th edition book and I've never actually played it yet.
