Campaign beginning with 2nd level multi-class PC's. Takes place in a wasteland. PC's are asked to provide security for a caravan heading to an industrial and trade center. Homebrew to follow RAW as closely as possible. I am an inexperienced GM, so looking for patient adventurers. Unique and exciting characters will be given preference.
25 point buy, medium XP track, mythic tiers after level 5.

Once his fatigue ends Khartelosch struggles to his feet and focuses on Silvash and Gorrim. He also prompts Silvash to drink the potion of cure light wounds Khartelosch gave him.
He saves his last spell for an emergency or to see if the others are in need.
Ibrah, I looked at your MW character sheet but it doesn't list a wand. You might be thinking of the wand of inflict light wounds that we've used on Thaane, which I'm currently carrying but give you free access to.

Thaane grabs the orb from Ibrah mutters a quick chant while he hoists it above his head and a
bright white light emanates from it and fills the room as Thaane screams in agony.
2d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 8) + 3 = 13
Silvash, Khartelosch and Gorrim heals 13 hp. While Thaane takes 13 damage.
Yes. Ibrah points at the captain's head. How did this happen?
Oh dear. I had forgotten he was still alive then. I thought he was slain by the worms before we reached the outpost. Somehow I assumed his body was recovered and used for the construct. This puts a new layer on things.

That captain was a jerk anyway. Same with the lieutenant. "Shackle Thaane, unshakle Thaane", I mean make up your damned mind already. Good riddance if you ask me.
"'Twas indeed a bitter pill to swallow, but I have relinquished the lovely items I gathered from my last campaign so that I may start a-fresh in this one." The Greedy Bag casts its greedy eye around for items that the party has recovered and disclaims greedily, "Where are they? Ye must have some recovered items for me to record. Don't be shy now. Step forward and have them put down on parchment for all to peruse at their leisure." After a moment's pause, he adds greedily, "I hear tell of a wand of inflict moderate wounds that has been floating betwixt the party members. Mayhap that unusual creature covered in fur currently totes it. How many charges hath it left, do tell? And what of this oh-so-curious "orb of wonder"? What shall we call it and what does it do?
The constructs gave up two scimitar and 4 muskets that are masterwork. Gorrim identifies them as Dogun-built. Each has a pouch with 23 musket balls and a horn of black powder. There is also a small keg of black powder. In one of the buildings you find an old barrel of wine and some moldy and dried up provisions.

Verrin brings the rotten foodstuffs to Thaane upon his request and Thaane replenishes them and makes the fruit and meat fresh. The wine barrel is also opened and there is some partaking of that also.

Khartelosch eats heartily, though he does not take more than his share. For the first time since they met him, he shows signs of true tiredness and not just the temporary slackness that follows his rages.
I think it might be wise to find a place to rest. Though healthy thanks to the magical healing, I am weary to the bone.

In addition to the... foodstuffs, I also found numerous firearms and their ammunition.
As for resting, if there is but the two exits from this area, it would be fairly easy to give warning if someone approaches. Though the grey ones ability to become invisible is worrying.
Ibrah nods at his companion's ideas as he eats. At the last comment, he stops chewing to look at Verrin. They can do that any time? He looks over his shoulder and cocks his ear, listening for an invisible dwarf.

Are we of two minds? Stay, go, rest, march onward. Ours is a dangerous occupation, even when we are at our fittest. It is foolhardy to continue when our lives are not at risk. Spread some gunpowder on the floor in front of the two doors. Let us recover here and set watch. If anyone crosses the path invisibly, our watch will know they are here.

Khartelosch offers to take first watch and climbs back up to the ledge.
(He takes 10 for necessary skill checks, giving him a Climb 17 and a Perception 19 (21 vs invisible or incorporeal creatures)).
Verrin takes the lead as the party packs up the gear it has and secures armor and weapons after such a perilous encounter. There is a ramp to the ledge which leads to a passage way in the wall of the cavern. This passage way is very narrow, only about five feet across at some parts. After a short distance the group enters a room with pillars. They notice an immediate temperature drop. There are six statues in the room. Each holding a different color gem. The far wall has a sealed door with six holes about the size of each gem.
Gorrim freezes, awestruck at the amazing likeness the second one on the right has to his daughter. He is at a loss for words, dumbfounded as he stares at the young dwarf paladin. Hisheart sinks as an idea that turns to a fear unravels inside of him.
