Campaign beginning with 2nd level multi-class PC's. Takes place in a wasteland. PC's are asked to provide security for a caravan heading to an industrial and trade center. Homebrew to follow RAW as closely as possible. I am an inexperienced GM, so looking for patient adventurers. Unique and exciting characters will be given preference.
25 point buy, medium XP track, mythic tiers after level 5.
Ibrah whips out his Glaive. As he flourishes it, it gains a strange sheen. He utters an arcane phrase, then strikes out at the creature.
Crunch:
can't see the map, but from your description it sounds like Ibrah is within 10 feet of the creature. If not, hopefully he can take a 5-foot step to be so. Otherwise I guess I'll have to retcon this because he wouldn't pull the glaive out in a situation where he couldn't use it.
Free action to draw glaive. Swift action to activate Arcane Strike on the Glaive. Full-round action cast Magic Weapon on the Glaive using Spell Combat, which also allows Ibrah to attack with the Glaive.
In an attempt to finish off the horrid and bewildered creature, Gorrim rubs a small pelt and two glass figurines together to release an arc of lightning toward the creature.

Thaane roots around upon the ghastly corpse and finds a masterwork composite longbow, a masterwork mace, a large pouch full of 500 gold and a potion of cure moderate wounds.
After about twenty minutes of walking and listening to Thaane chew a piece of bread crust. The group comes to another fork in the tunnel. A rat that has been scurrying somewhat in front of them hurries down the tunnel to the right. The convergence lit only by the sunrod held by Gorrim.
Survival skill
"To find tracks or to follow them for 1 mile requires a successful Survival check. You must make another Survival check every time the tracks become difficult to follow."
It is very hard to discern any traces of tracks since the floor is granite stonework neatly fitted into pavers down both tunnels. The tunnel to the right is the tunnel that the rat went down. It isoonly slightly duster than the one on the left.

Provided there is nothing in his 60 feet of darkvision that he can identify besides stone in either fork, Khartelosch points toward the right tunnel and suggests they search them methodically. He then starts down that tunnel.
After about one mile of slow decent, the conscripts are amazed at the enormous cavern before them, but not as much as the vast amount of gold and jewels that lie heaped in this cavern. The heroes arise on an elevated platform which slowly descends into the pile of treasures.
Verrin also notices the movement in the middle of the pile. There is also a faint light that shines down from a pinhole that seems to be hundreds of feet above the ceiling.

Silvash begins carefully backing his way out as he whispers, "The only thing I can think of with this much loot, assuming it's all real, begins with D and ends with us dead."

Verrin relaxes slightly as they fall back from the treasure filled cavern, glad that his companions shared his wisdom. With new determination he cautiously moved forward down the left corridor.

Wow! Nothing in a week?
Khartelosch keeps Verrin company as they reach the fork and now try the left-hand corridor. He watches for secret side tunnels.

The cohorts reach the cavern of the lost city that Graalen spoke about and find it more of a deserted mining camp with dilapidated buildings pieced together with pieces of wood and metal. There are some barrels and some mining equipment laying around, but nothing looks recently used. There is a tall central tower in the middle of the complex, almost 50 feet high placed in the middle for security. The group can follow the ledge around the complex or descend the 15 foot ledge down into the compound.
