Campaign beginning with 2nd level multi-class PC's. Takes place in a wasteland. PC's are asked to provide security for a caravan heading to an industrial and trade center. Homebrew to follow RAW as closely as possible. I am an inexperienced GM, so looking for patient adventurers. Unique and exciting characters will be given preference.

25 point buy, medium XP track, mythic tiers after level 5.

According to the combat illustrations in RAW, I don't think that Ibrah is flanking, but I am ok with rule-bending on this one. These things are tough. Ibrah is currently confronting the pit construct. Go ahead and add two to your rolls.

Ibrah lashes out at the Construct with another kick, but again goes wide. He mumbles something under his breath, and his fist begins to glow.

The tower construct attempts to slam Gorrim.

Gorrim gets slammed hard into the metal railings of the tower by the powerful abomination.Gorrim's vision is blurry, but he scrambles around the tower like a caged and frightened rat.

Upset about its damaged arm, the pit construct attempts to slam Khartelosch into the buildingbehind him.

Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Khartelosch is shoved hard into the building behind him leaving a significant dent in it and causing damage internally to the half-orc.

Silvash lands the attack on the construct just before it slams Khartelosch. Silvash notices thatthe rapier does not hurt it as it should, but still the construct winces.

Verrin redirects his attacks to the necrotic flesh that binds the creature together, seeking week points to deal with it quickly, allowing the group to relieve Gorrim.

Khartelosch's growls momentarily turn into grunts as he is pounded into the building. Suddenly he grows nervous about how the others must be doing with the second one in the tower and feels the need to bring this battle to a rapid end. He winds up and tries to sever the creature into two pieces.

Ibrah, use the orb! Gorrim yells in desperation.


Gorrim attempts a grapple on the tower construct to then toss it off of the 50 foot tower.

The construct easily shakes free and throws Gorrim to the floor of the tower again.

Curses Thaane is unhappy about using 2 of his 9 bullets as he rapidly loads both barrels and lets the bullets tear out of both barrels of his pistol.

Both sail far over the head of the pit construct.

The blade slices deep into the arm of Ibrah as the abomination that used to be Captain Valorious struggles for balance.

Considering the difficulty they are having with their foe, Khartelosch is worried about the dwarf facing the other construct on its own. He then realizes Thaane is aiding him.
Khartelosch swings the greataxe downward at the construct with purpose, trying to upon up its carapace or covering to expose the workings within.

Ibrah will pull at the orb and wave it at whichever nearest construct is left standing after the actions of the others--not sure which one that will be, if Khart finished this one off.

A great arc leaps from the orb and blows out the two front legs of the tower from their mooring. The tower begins to fall forward towards the heroes on the ground with Gorrim and the other construct in it.

Khartelosch's satisfaction at seeing the construct down changes to alarm as a shadow suddenly appears above them. "Silvash, jump!"
He tries to grab the sylph as he leaps out of the way.

The heavy tower falls partially on Silvash while Khartelosch evades the devastation.

Chanting under his breath Verrin once again charges his sword with lightning as he leaps attempting to dodge the pools of burning oil to get to the fallen machine and plunges his sword in to it.

Ibrah, you and I together could raise this just enough for Silvash to escape!
Khartelosch hands the sylph his potion of cure light wounds and braces himself in his rage to try to shift the portion of the tower holding Silvash.

Unfortunately, his foot slips on the oil-soaked ground and he loses his grip.

Ibrah tilts his head and points the orb at the fallen tower.

Maybe the orb can lift the tower up? :shrug: Or maybe it will blow the tower up and make everything worse. We'll see.

If nothing happens, Ibrah will repeatedly make Aid Strength checks for Khartelosch until Silvash is out or something else happens.

Ibrah holds the orb up and nothing happens. Khartelosch and Silvash both catch on fire due to the spilled oil as well as Gorrim and the construct also catch fire.

Khartelosch takes 5 hp fire damage while Silvash takes 6 hp fire damage this round.


Gorrim is shaken and beat up as he tries to gain his footing.

Thaane cannot believe what has transpired in mere seconds. He loads his weapon cursing as he is down to just 5 slugs before firing.

The shot again misses the fiery mass that is now enraged and gaining a foothold.

Seeing Silvash helplessly trapped under the burning tower the construct tries to cleave him in parts.

The fiery abomination lands a solid blow slicing a gash into the leg of the Sylph.

While standing, construct draws AOO s from both Khartelosch and Verrin and Ibrah if he uses orb.

Verrin shifts once more to the creatures blind side and attempts to finally connect. His desperation rising, Verrin drives his blade deep into the monsters back his hand singing as the restrained power of the electrical charge discharges in the constructs vitals.

Current map

The burning and smoking construct is damaged by Khartelosch's raged swing and then completely annihilated by Verrin's precise strike to the sternum. Its great power was enough to detach the former head of the lieutenant and the electricity flowed easily throughout the metal body of the creature, melting it in places. All is finally quiet with the exception of the moans of Gorrim and Silvash and the crackle of the surrounding burning debris.

Khartelosch takes as much time as needed to shift the tower beam so that Sylvash can escape. Take 20 for 23 Strength check. His fatigue kicks in immediately after the rage runs out and he staggers over to the side of a building to prop his weary self against it, contemplating. "What maniacal game has the so-called 'mayor' put us into?
