Ah, Jacques she thinks to herself, If I am doing things right, you won't be able to forget.

Zorahas replies, "With pleasure!" And then blasts the priestess with a firebolt.
ranged touch+inspire: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 1 = 12
fire damage+inspire: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7

Carrick rushes forward to engage the priestess.
Surrender now! He bellows.
Double move

GM CyberMephit |

"Never!", the priestess shouts back, reaching for a potion at her hip. Before she can uncork it, however, Zorahas' firebolt hits the metal mask, instantly melting it to her face. With a terrible shriek she falls down and her last words are "Razmir... will not... forgive." before she stops moving.
The remaining guard drops his weapon and falls to his knees, claiming he only followed orders and begging you to spare his life.

"The sisters have been watching this whole time. I suggest we make a hasty departure."
Suiting his words, he runs to the gate to remove the bar assuming one of the warriors will disarm the remaining soldier. (Hopefully someone also takes a few seconds to root through their pockets).

Off we go then Pathfinders. Carrick begins to lead the way back to the boat, but not too hastily allowing the others time to do their looting.
I tried to warn her not to mess with us, Iomedae, why is it they never seem to listen.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
"I am not at all happy with those sisters. There's something wrong here." Elemenar nods at Jacques. "The sooner we leave, the better."
Elemenar heads out the courtyard in the direction of the boat and assumes the others will follow.

"I agree. Those sisters are trouble. Let's leave this place with haste." she says, following after the group, heading to the boat.

GM CyberMephit |

Good point, Criscius!
A quick search of the dead priest's body reveals a potion, a magical scroll and a wand. You disarm the guard and kick him out of the courtyard, not fully believing his claims that he was forced into his job against his will. Once the courtyard is clear, you help the dwarven emissaries get up and head for the boat with them in tow. There is no pursuit and you reach the boat safely.
On the boat, your efforts are cheered by the dwarven merchants, though Temel's mood is a bit soured by the fact that you didn't enter the alliance with his consortium, and he uses every opportunity to dig at Metella.
Both of them praise your efforts at hiding your true purpose from the sisters and recovering the scrying components, confounding the pursuit. Amauhak notes that although the Pathfinders have performed a great service in rescuing the dwarven emissaries, they have also earned the Society a dangerous foe. Razmiran does not forget a slight, and while your efforts to remain secretive may have slowed the pursuers, but it has only delayed the inevitable reprisal.
The boat sails upriver with all speed and you put Razmiran behind you as quickly as possible. The remainder of the journey to Mendev is thankfully uneventful, and the venture-leutenant there commends you on your efforts, noting that the dwarven merchants' resources might prove very valuable in the event of serious clashes with the demonic forces, which is only a matter of time as the Society gears up for the liberation of the lost Sky Citadel.

Yes, pretty much. Rosh was the only non-evil NPC and he's mute and dim-witted anyway. If you failed to find the scrying components, your only hope to get full prestige would be to kill the villain. If you killed both the villain and the sisters you would auto-succeed at the secondary goal.
I started reading through 5-04 and it seems a bit more nuanced so far.

I'm out for 5-04...but ya'll have fun!

![]() |

Villian? Is there an NPC that we didn't encounter? Interesting...
I have nominally committed this character to a PbP Gameday event, though it is still not 100% clear what tier they are playing, so I might drop out. If there is enough interest, I wouldn't mind playing 5-04 with this group.

I have already played that scenario, so I'll be leaving you to it. It's a fun one, so enjoy! Take care friends!

Criscius, Elemenar and Zorahas are up, so we just need to see if Jacques is with us and if not I'll recruit someone to fill the face/skills role. Give me a few days to finish reading the scenario though!

So we'll have a slayer, druid, and wizard. If we get Jacques then we get a fighter too. Seems like a decent party.
As long as that slayer is a front line fighter. Two ranged specialists would not be good...
Sure, count me in.

GM CyberMephit |

Alright, those who are in for 5-04, please proceed to the discussion thread.
I will probably start the gameplay thread tomorrow, and will inactivate this campaign then.
Veres and Carrick - thanks a lot for the game and all your help with the PFS nuts and bolts, hope I'll get to play with you again!
