Yes, in fact this is the forum for PF1 games. There is a separate forum for pf2 games here.

Okay thanks. I just wasn't sure if it transitioned to pf2.

All the new content is for PF2. That said, they only recently released sanctioning for Tyrant’s Grasp and there is a lot of old content for PF1.

Anyone else running lvl1 PFS1E Scenarios? I have an arcanist covered in dust which I would like to play again.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #10-00: The Hao Jin Cataclysm, for Gameday VIII. It was a while ago.

So other than posting a message here how does one join in I mean I see posts saying I do not have characters of high enough level and others posting I have a character of this level (higher than 1st) so being that one could create a character of any level how does this actually work?

This particular recruitment thread is for Pathfinder Society Organized Play, and the short answer is that you create your character at first level and accrue experience/levels/stuff through sanctioned scenarios. For a better description than I can give in a single post, see the document HERE. It's a free download.

ETA: You can also click on the Campaign Info tab at the top of the page, and there's a lot of other useful information there.

How much does PaizoCon cost? My eyes are bad but hopefully not so bad I missed it when I checked the links for information.

Ticket prices haven't been announced yet for PaizoCon Online. Last year it was $25, but I don't know how this year will compare.

In PFS, you cannot create a PC of any level to join in a game. You have to start at level 1 and play in games to work up to higher levels.

Or play a pre-gen...

Basically there's a couple of ways to play on the message boards here. You can just find a game and play using whatever version of Pathfinder (or honestly, whatever game system) you and your group decide to play, however you want. Or you can play in one of the various Paizo 'Organized Play' guilds (available for Pathfinder, Starfinder, The Pathfinder Adventure Card game, and Pathfinder 2ed).

Here's a link to the copy to the book, Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide, you need to play the first edition of the Pathfinder RPG game in organized play (AKA Pathfinder Society). It explains how to build and progress your character(s) through organized play.

Once you read that you can click on this character's icon (or the other helpful links supplied above) to find further links and tips to play online.

Hmm.... that might be one of the few scenarios that could convince me to come back to PF1 for a moment... Although it has been long enough that I've probably forgotten most of it. I do have a character that has done 3/4 Gloomspires scenarios though.

Yeah, I got to run that one a while back...it was a fun scenario to GM...and I think the players had fun as well...the PC I gave the GM credit to has certainly had fun with one of the boons from that chronicle...

I’ve got a couple low level PFS1 Peeps I could throw in the mix. As far as running it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been a DM on these boards so it could be a rough go of it. I wouldn’t be against a DM trade tho. :)
