This stone grants the wearer a +1 competence bonus on attack rolls, saves, skill checks, and ability checks.

So Attacks and Initiative get bumped, but most people I know just spend 8,000 for a cracked to saves and a cracked to attack.

Hey, Watery Soup. I've run the whole set of Thornkeep on tabletop. It was a bit of as push, but we finished each floor in a 4 hr block, about the time to run a long scenario.

I had my group bring in Level 2 characters. That lets the group run all 5 floors straight and end at level 7.

Mivvy, are you copying me?

I'll keep an eye out, Silbeg. I have 12, 12, 13, and 15 just chilling.

"I'll give you a hand."

Str: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Con Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 2

"The just thing to do is report this and continue with fair competition."

"Save your spells. The goblins we've fought so far haven't proven to be much threat."

Urzaia will wand Keene.

I have a 12 Fighter who dual wields Dwarven Dorn Dergars and a 13 Fighter who Sunders and Vital Strikes with a Lucerne Hammer. Both were irl, but I'm moving more characters to PbP now that I have a baby. I would have to use stars to play. I put a rogue through on 14-15.

Thanks, I thought so, but with two treat as clauses I wasn't sure.

I threw this up on Reddit as well.

The feat Dorn Dergar Master lets you use the dorn dergar as a one handed weapon.

The fighter's advanced weapon training let's you treat a one handed weapon as a light weapon for two weapon fighting penalties.

Would these stack to swing double dorn dergars at -2/-2?

Can they also be modified with Dual Balanced from adventurers armory 2 to bring that down to -1/-1?

I vote boost and pass the aid token.

I can add a channel or a lesser restoration.

Opening up my table for 9-00 Assault on Absalom (tier 10-11)

Things I think we have covered: Healing, Traps, knowledges
Things we don't have covered afaik: Swarms, social skills, ranged dmg,

The ability to cast a long duration Mage Armor would be a bonus.

I may have just the guy for you. Paladin 10/Swashbuckler 1. He's a solid diplomancer with the ability to man the front lines. As an added bonus he has several spell like abilities, including AOE. He's only been played IRL so I'll have to get all the information added to his profile.

Fellow agents, I have several options for characters and I would like to use whichever will round out the party.

Shiva is a Suli skald (spell warrior) 8. Providing buffs for the group and using the spirit totem rage powers to yield additional offense and defense.

Sukit Von Maur is a fighter 9. Heavily defended from physical attacks he stands at the front and uses his mastery of tower shields to great effect in narrow corridors.

Cassandra is a healer, oracle [life] 7/paladin 2. Though physically weakened by her burnt flesh (blackened curse) she is capable of treating dire wounds and can call upon the flames of her youth in dire circumstances.

Blaise is a sorcerer 9, who revels in the fires on his draconic heritage. When all you have is fire, everything is kindling. He has practiced long and hard to be sure almost anything will burn.

Azrael is an aasimar bard 9. With his ancient banner held high those near him feel inspired to incredible highs in the midst of combat. He has a small gift for healing that he tends to reserve for emergencies.

Aracanadin is a paladin 11, nearing the end of his active duty. While competent in a fight he has spent time learning to channel the magic imbued in his equipment to perform acts of arcane magic.

Marked it down, class and level are marked as TBD while I get a feel for what the party might need, as well as if it's low or high tier.

I can join in if you still need another. I have basically any role other than trap finder covered by an 8 or a 9, but all of them have only been played irl so I'll need to know what I have to bring in to PbP format.

Let me know if you spot any errors when I do. I've only done 1 PbP and it was with a 0 ep character.

Where does THAT come from???

He has some of the original magic item mastery feats so he can cast burning hands, lightning bolt, dark vision, see invisibility, and dimension door. Plus Maw of the Dragon for Dragon Breath once a day.

Both tables are high tier. This is an excellent, but dangerous scenario.

Please, help fill out one of their tables if you want a great challenge and have a character in tier!

Hmm

Whilst I am convinced both have excellent GM's, I was equally concerned that this scenario has a particularly grim set of reviews that seem to get worse with every retelling - that is is harsh and punitive. I looked at the party composition and was a little dubious as the APL is that higher end of the 9's and so we have the concern of both tables playing 10-11 yet having an APL not really supportive of that, and a funky mix of classes that didn't fill me with confidence.

I suspect one group was better than the other, but one of the groups was both short a strong frontliner AND short a Healer. Not a scenario I'd want to play 'up' with.

I still feel tender over the Beacon Below, so maybe that's not helping.

I do not have a healer available that is both a scarab sage and in tier. But I do have a bloodrager that is in tier. I'll check out his status and perhaps complete one table if he is acceptable.

I have several IRL characters that are in tier, but would need to be converted to be PbP ready. 9 fire blaster sorcerer, 9 tank fighter, 9 healer bard, 8 combat skald, 9 healer, and 11 arcane SLA paladin.

I have an idea. I just have to finish converting it from PFS theorycraft.

I've actually played through with a similar build as a straight fighter. The problem I ran into was that you end up splitting your focus between the TWF and the major benefit of the dorn dergar, using it as a one handed reach weapon.
TWF and a +1 Bashing light shield or a claw hand shield at later levels would be about the extent of what I would put towards it. Alternately pick a class that benefits from having that other hand free.
Darting Viper is something of a trap as a 5 ft step is usually more helpful than a move action to shorten/lengthen your reach.

You walk into the room and see a scarlet hued man carving his own flesh. I am Marcus Samuel. As we proceed I will take point and ask that you step where I do, unless you want to be blown up like the fools I worked with while hunting the Cult of Lassala. Now, who's my buddy tonight? There's actually some precedent for this - the Elven Weapon Training feat. Or whatever its name is. ^_^
"My weapons designer, I use it ironically" ?

I actually use them hatefully. It's a half-orc with the racial weapon training boon.

Is there some place where weapon training groups are regularly updated? I have a PC who's using a dorn dergar and a boulder helmet and can't find an official listing beyond the core book listing that GM's can add to these groups.
