Hi all. I have a third level Warpriest with the 'Cult Leader' specialization. Really want to go for a longer PFS adventure. The module or something like this - to have several linked adventures in a row with one DM and a cohesive team. Posts twice a day, acting out the role, CLW in time and nasty backstabs are attached. I will welcome any suggestions! Thank you.
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
I, too have many characters who are ready and eager for another adventure.
Also, given that The Dragon's Demand is the closest thing to an Adventure Path I've ever gotten to play* I'd likewise welcome tips on where to look for opportunities to get in on one.

What is campaign mode vs PFS mode and what level of character are you looking for? I'm interested in Dragons Demand but would need to figure out which character I could send.
Well, I read the module desription and it looks low level so I was thinking of this character. Hey, mate. Been dealing with pirates for years so a bunch of thieves is no problem. Dragon, you say? You don't mind if Kane and I stick to the shadows and root the party on do you?[/b]

Dragonss you ssay?!? Ssoundss interessting. Definite nobless of reptile kingdom. Though of coursse they can not compare with royal majessty of Nagass. Resspectable none lesss.
Certainly worth our time to look into thiss.

Campaign mode generally means much more lenient rules than PFS as the GM has increased control over what is legal at his table. I don't know what Bold Strider is and isn't allowing. (I've seen campaigns with crafting/evil alignments/non-LG paladins/monstrous races and others that are Core rule book only or PFS legal stuff only, there is a real variety of options) As for Dragon's Demand it goes levels 1-7 with a pretty quick progression through the levels. So in the middle is likely level 3 or 4 (which you would be able to build as a brand new character not need a PFS one at that level in all likelihood). In the end it gives 4 chronicle sheets to the players (worth a full level each). I ended up rebuilding the character I played in Dragon's Demand as a PFS character who's now level 11.1 (this one). Hope that helps (at least some)
Oh yeah the place with the Shelynites and the boring Abadarans, fun times.

If the character starts at level 4, how do the chronicle sheets work? Do I apply them to a different character? Do I apply it to the same character but at the end it will be level 4 instead of 7 since it will only have 4 chronicle sheets?

Probably the easier way to explain "campaign mode" is that you just ignore PFS while you are playing the module or AP. Just play the module however you want with homerules and a completely non-PFS character. When the module is complete, the GM will give everyone PFS chronicle sheets for the module, which you can then apply to one of your PFS characters to earn them XP. If you have any more questions, it's probably best to review the Roleplaying Guild Guide or the chronicle sheet document (right side) for the particular module or AP you are interested in. Hope that helps!

"Oops." The blond human is back, and carrying several sheets of paper. "Looks like there are a few more vacancies for a couple of missions. You might want to join up. Or not. Whatever." Several pages fall out as he juggles them. He sighs, then adds some more papers to the sign up wall. "Hurry up, I've got a sweet concert to play at later tonight."
Due to a mix up, I've opened a second table for CORE Dalsine Affair. It's for subtiers 1-2, and I have 2 more spots available. They just started the first encounter, so be ready with your character to jump in at the top of the following round.
I am also planning to start a CORE run of 7-12 : Twisted Circle very soon now. I'm looking for 1-2 more brave souls to join.
Please add your character to the sign up sheet. The first sheet is for Dalsine Affair and the second sheet is for Twisted Circle. I will run a lottery 24 hours from now to choose the lucky winners.

I am a huge fan of running Eyes of the Ten - I could be convinced to run a PbP version of it if there's the people for it.
Shall I start a recruitment thread on your behalf then? I can watch the thread for you and send you a message when we have a full table.
Davoliznakamushka |
A gnome with a wrinkled nose, thick glasses and wild, white hair bumps into the backside of the blond man as he leaves the lodge. The gnome looks up, startled - he's apparently had his nose buried in a tome title Pernicious Pentameter - Pithy Poems for Portly Passerbys. He looks up - before settling eyes on the nearest Pathfinders.
"Oh, um, yes. Quite. I'm Davoliznakamushka, and looking for a few agents to head to the deeper levels of this "spire" thing. Really, experienced sorts only"
Emerald spire, starting on part 7 - I'm taking over a game and we will likely be down to 3 players soon (fighting cleric, archer and sorcerer). Looking for some more pathfinders to round out the Party. Character level ranges 5-7 for this adventure, with 10 adventures/levels left in the series! Recruitment thread here

Well met again Mr Cauthorn. I should be glad to accompany you.
My sorc made level 12, but there seem to be extremely few opportunities at the post level 12 stuff in my area.

If you guys just want a public recruitment thread I can go ahead and start that - sometimes Eyes groups are a little more picky and want to private recruit.
I'll start a thread later today, although for those of you who are interested note that I start every Eyes run with a character audit - so I'm going to want to see your full character sheet and play history.
GM chadius |
"Man, you guys are quick!" The blond human scratches his hair. "Good thing too. You two need to get to Taldor, quickly."
Dalsine Affair: 2d3 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
You two can post your CORE PCs actions in this thread.
Twisted Circle: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Post your characters in the discussion and gameplay threads.

I offered to pick it up in a couple weeks but if you wanted to do so in my stead I certainly wouldn't object.

My full character sheet is linked in my profile. I use Myth-weavers.
For my play history, do I need to scan all my chronicles or will the sessions tab on my character's profile be enough?

I just use myth-weavers for the character sheets because it is pre-made and can be shown online to others.
I usually find my games here (for pbp) or play with my home campaign group (for face-to-face). But none of my home group is level 12 yet. I run PFS when we don't have our full campaign group, so I naturally out-leveled the rest of them.

"Well, hello there, Lavode. We were wondering what became of you when you disappeared so suddenly on Triaxia. Good to see you made it back from there."

Myth-Weavers has a separate PFS forum.
We have a few general discussion threads there, and games announcements appear on a semi regular basis.

:(
I'd rather not run two games at once, so if the game with Ralph & Lavode goes off then I'd rather do that instead since that game will still be covered. Still trying to feel out exactly what my time constraints are with the new move, but I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to handle 1 game. 2, not as much.
Lord Arthur walks around the lodge, greeting various Pathfinders enthusiastically. Upon noticing a group of Seekers, he teleports out.
Thread for feeling out another Eyes run is here.
GM Cody |
A brash looking Half-Orc bursts into the room, an eye-patch covering what must be a grisly wound, the rest of his face looks like something's chew toy.
"The lot o' ya, Ai need a team that ain't afraid ta die, we gotta mission into the worldwound, deep inta tha wound. I only need tha brave or stupid for this suicide mission, sign up, and I'll be back in a day 'er two to get the poor souls that volunteered."
Spitting on the bounty board a wad of tobacco, he'll stick the sign-up sheet to it before hobbling out.
Hey guys, I'm running 2-08 The Sarkorian Prophecy, this is my first public PbP game I'll be GMing. My wife is already guaranteed a spot, she is bringing a 10th level Warpriest of Iomedae. Otherwise I'm looking for 5 more brave pathfinders. Ideally I'd like to GM the upper tier. I'll decide in a day or two based on sign-ups.
Orophin Telemnarn |
"Today is your lucky day!" sings an overly beautiful man as he saunters into the lodge and indicates six of the newest members.
"Dreng is looking for some fresh... that is keen volunteers! You'll find him on the corner of Lantern and Coin streets. Best not to keep him waiting!"
Call for Standard Characters for The Wounded Wisp. An evergreen scenario (so you can play it more than once). I've a preference for level one characters. If you have a level two you want to play, stick yourself down in one of the waitlist slots not a regular one and you may get lucky. Mechanically, go to my sign up sheet and put your details down. I'll arrange a game thread next week.

" I'm a little busy right now, but in about three weeks I would be happy to go on a new journey. " - says amazingly quiet and discreet half-orc. He listens to a little something that only he hears, and then adds: "I will have another companion with me. A woman. She's very insistent that I introduce her right now, but it is not necessary to shock future mates ahead of time. Additional space she will not occupy... She's always with me."
Orophin Telemnarn, I signed up for the game which will be in mid-April, Mists of Mwangi, if you don't mind. I understand that it has not been announced yet, but, in my turn I can guarantee my presence there.
Falshin Korvaska |
An average looking young Varisian strolls into the lodge with a smile on his face. "Well met all, I am Falshin Korvaska. I am new to the Society and am looking forward to my Confirmation so that I can begin my, hopefully, illustrious career with the Society!"
Faelyn here! I'm new to the Flaxseed Lodge, but not necessarily to the PFS. I am currently running a group of folks through all the Evergreen scenarios and would eventually like to add my name to the potential list of GMs for the Lodge! I am not currently able to GM any games, but I think when this batch of Evergreens is up I will toss my name into the pot!
GM Aerondor |
@Zaamir that is fine. One of the reasons for putting up the list in advance is to give folk a chance to get listed for a game without needing a lottery but without having total bias towards those who check every day. Thus the rule about only one game at a time. You're in another of mine at the moment, but that will be finished before MoM starts.
Bishop Shepherd |
Once again Bishop and his horse-sized wolf Timber prowl through the Flaxseed common room. His mood is a bit cantankerous. "Listen up, I have a city mission I need taken care of." It's clear that he says "city" with disdain. "I think you're going to Taldor, but by way of Absalom first."
Now recruiting for a CORE table of 00-07 Among the Living (Tier 1-5). Sign up is HERE. Looking to start on Wednesday. This will be my last low level core table for a while as I need to get the quantity of my games under a bit better control. I'll eventually switch to a lottery, but for now it's first come, first served.

No classic? I was looking forward to doing a 3rd game with my halfling pally under your flag. If you're overwhelemed, however, don't sweat it.

I wish that I could! Sadly, I've already run classic. I do appreciate the vote of confidence though!
Solomon Goodman |
A tall Taldan half-orc with a bright red cape, floppy hat, and dirty chainmail walks into the lodge and looks around with a silly grin on his face. He pulls a flute and lute out of his bag, stands up on a table (much to the chagrin of those currently occupying it) and loudly clears his throat. After playing a short high pitched ditty on his flute sounding much like a marching song, he switches to his lute and begins strumming somewhat mindlessly as he calls out in a booming voice. "Now that I have your attention... I hear that there are some new recruits about the lodge today. My, I remember my first day in the society. A stubborn sleepwalker, a war zone, fortune and glory... wonderful times! But today do I have a treat for you. I seek group of Pathfinders, fresh recruits or early career, who wish to prove themselves in one of the Society's great obstacle courses... a cleared ruin of the Machine Mage himself! We sent a group of more experienced Pathfinders ahead to set the course and I want to see who can solve it quickly, effectively, and most importantly in a manner that reflects your abilities to explore, report, and cooperate! Who's with me?"
Now recruiting for 6-01 Trial by Machine (Tier 1-5). Sign up is here. I have a couple slots reserved and the rest will be filled by lottery. Plan is to start Wednesday or Thursday, looking for people who can commit to an average of at least 1 post a day barring personal emergencies (after all, life comes first).

I am with you, if you will have me-k-k.
