A derro dwarf walks into the lodge. "HEY! Do you hate me? Wanna stop my dastardly plans, whatever they may be? Well, there is a group doing that right now in Cassomir, and they need YOUR help!"
Having seen that he has now gotten some Pathfinder's attention, the gnome's illusionary disguise fades as he holds up a Help Wanted poster.
"OK, ok. Sorry to give you all a fright, but this is how serious it is! If you are interested in rescuing people and defeating evil, than this is the place for you!"
I have a group that is just about to start part 3 of the 4-part series, The Devil You Know, and they could use another player. Interested parties should PM me, as we expect to start in the next day or two.

A little brighly coloured gnome rushes into the lodge. "qstor, ShadowKhan, Michael Eshleman, caps, Mudk and RainyDayNinjab" she calls out, proding the drinkers as she goes past them. " Anyway, you are all needed at the Blackros Museum. Now!" Core 00-05 Mists of Mwangi. Aiming for low tier, although it looks like one of you is wanting to bring in a level 4. If you are okay with out of tier gold, go for it, otherwise feel free to bring in a lower level character Please remember, this is a CORE table. Double check your character is a CORE campaign character not standard.
I'm actually busy on another mission. You can give my spot to someone else. Thanks!

be warned, folks, Devil We Know Part 4 at tier 3-4 is the most difficult PFS scenario I've ever played. We nearly TPKed twice, and then finally did TPK at the end. The only reason we still have our characters is that our foe kept us alive to see a disease play out, so we spent PP to get rescued.

"Well, its understandable given the natural science involved. Think of the data that could be gleaned from such an experiment. You could save dozens of research assistants jobs just correlating it. Adventurers ar just too damn selfish if you ask me." A man dressed in the glittering robes tenure says and then takes a puff on his pipe. "Why, you could open a whole new wing on the university just researching the effects on the subject's humors. Disgraceful. What do you say sir?"

A small songbird flies in and cocks his head. "ISSLES!!!" it announces to all around, acting like a normal dumb bird, before flying to the commenter and whispering in his ear.
"Eh, it was a rough fight, to be sure, but Misaki and I survived it ok, along with the rest of the team."
GMed this twice, and played it once, with two of those three runs being at tier 3-4, with no deaths. It's pretty rough for an early season adventure, but there are several deadlier PFS scenarios, including much of season 4.

My real life table is about to experience this first hand. They're all new to Pathfinder Society (only two of them have played a scenario before), and they are going to start the Devil We Know series at once they hit level 2.

Same experience here... only survivor was my character, who ran away... every one else had pay pp for rescue... it was sad.

"Shadow puppets?" Nulveilio asks hopefully. He demonstrates deformed rabbit--it's a real crowd-pleaser on in some circles.

"...so these Shadow Lodge people eh? Let me tell you about what happened back in the day..."
Seeking expressions of interest for a couple of GM's who may be interested in participating in a multi-table special kicking off in June. Initial planning is around Year of the Shadow Lodge. More to follow.
Is there a place to sign up for this?
Shifty
There will be shortly - the GM's volunteered in bulk, sort of caught me by surprise. I was also lining this up with Jesse, for scenario support as it turns out! :)
Will get something up tonight. Kick off is still firmly early June though :) I just honestly wasn't expecting the level of response...both GM and Player

What did you expect? Lol. You're one of the best GM's on here, so whenever you post up, yours rest assured I'll be signing on. Along with the last multi-table special we did on here being an absolute blast, this has all the makings of being mega-fun. Not to mention, if I can help you grab that 5th star, I'm down. I'm GM'ing in bulk now to try to go ahead and get there myself.

I am interested as BOth GM and Player and more than happy to run it as CORE too.

I will volunteer to GM as well. Ran this in person once and it'll be fun to do it again!

Guys,
Regarding Year of the Shadow Lodge
Shifty and me are working out the details. In this stage we are aiming for 10 tables, so that we do not overextend ourselves. It is a first time for us organizing this and we want to make it a success.
Start is indeed planned at early June and we expect to start the actual mustering (both for players as GM's) in short notice. Links will be posted here.
And indeed RyckyRych : we not only need GM's, we also need players ;-)
DebugAMP
If you guys are looking to set up a Shadow Lodge oriented PbP convention, I'd certainly be willing to run City of Strangers pts 1 and 2 as June gets closer to help give some background to the whole thing.

Argghhh... the timing... argghhh
*needs to play Two-Fold* but can't pregen Character in question is at L5 but is looking for slow-track Shades of Ice 2, 3 before PaizoCon which would put him at 6. Already have four L7 pregen credits waiting for him which would push him into L8 before a Two-Fold on the only pregen available (L7, since L4 is 'too low').

I would love that. Can we get through two sessions in a little under a month?

I'd definitely be up for this and in as a player on Year of the Shadow Lodge.

"Shadow puppets!?" Nulveilio asks bouncing up and down in anticipation causing the deformed shadow rabbit to bob up and down along the walls and ceiling.

I'd be down for playing it as well. I have the perfect character for it too.

Thanks, but we are not looking to set up a Shadow Lodge PbP convention. We are setting up the season 2 special, with the goal of doing other specials in the future if this goes well.
We are 'only' organizing the special (at this time). Other scenario's can be offered by any GM who wants to, but we will not wait for these scenario's to finish. This might mean that the special starts while the characters are still locked in in another scenario, which would be a shame (if you want to play in the special with that character).
This might sound harsh and that is not the intent: I just want to be clear what is our offering.
DebugAMP
I was thinking more of running it concurrently with the special so people can get some background on the group. If I run it I would not expect them to finish before the special. I'm in the process of running a scenario right now and my personal life would make it a bad idea to run another at the same time, so I wouldn't even expect to start recruiting for a few weeks.

still up for it. I have another character in the same level range
Jal Vaduva
|
EDIT: nvm ... DebugAMP addressed my concern.
Jal pauses as he sips his ale, his gray eyes noting a slight up-tick in the subtle activities and conversations of some of the Lodge's known movers-and-shakers.
Something big's happening.
I'd love to get Jal involved in one of the Special tables. :)
Karasuma Tazou

A messenger walks in, takes a good long while to assess the room, then delivers a letter to Jal's table.
Send response soonest,

Would also like to be involved with this. It sounds like it could be immensely profitable and potentially capable of building up my client base...
GM Evil

I don't necessarily have to play the same character in the special as in the shadow lodge scenarios; in fact, I had planned on only running the special and keeping the character from the pre-scenarios open afterward to apply the special's credit to.
Magabeus
Great, just want things to be clear! And sorry Endless for hijacking the thread
Jal Vaduva

Jal eyes the runner, but takes the letter. He gives a crooked smirk as he reads, shaking his head as he scribbles his own message on the back of the same note. Once finished, he re-folds the note, then hands it and a few coins to the runner.
"Back to him, eh?"
As good a shape as always. And yah, the Lodge looks like someone kicked a damn ant pile. I'm guessing our boss will want a few good men on this.
... he'll have to settle for us jokers, I guess. Come by later. First round's on me.
