Lang watches the unusual bird formation. That is very strange, I wonder what it means

then the final shape of an "S" I know that has a meaning? Lang goes and sits by the small fire the others had made. wondering what the birds were saying, Maybe they miss me, but they will see me in the morning, I wasn't gone that long.

Lang has a bite to eat still wondering what the message means.

had to throw a bit of I don't get it in there for no real reason, don't worry it will probably suddenly dawn on him

He seems. . . . . Disappointed? Maybe. You aren't quite sure he can be disappointed.

The wildly tumbling object sheds fire as it heats on re-entry. Once the fire clears, it is clear to see that it is a very small craft; likely a life pod. Its erratic flight coupled with its stealth shielding makes it impossible to detect presence or absence of life inside.

DESCENT UNSTABLE

DEPLOY CONTROL SURFACES

Without warning, several flaps snap open, functioning as air brakes. The wild tumbling and its great speed rip the panels off seconds after opening. Its flight has stabilized somewhat, but it is still too erratic to scan its interior. Mithros is able, however, to get a clear image of the outside of the craft. Its design is clearly Imperial. The external identification indicates that this is a life pod from the ship that was destroyed earlier.

DESCENT UNSTABLE

ahh hello, Carl, I nned all the data you got on the object trajectory, intial coordinates, speed, acceleration rate, and as many subsequent coordinates after initial contact.

Mel has her datapad out ready for the calculations.

as Carl feeds the information Mel appears to be entering data almost faster than he is relaying it.

If Mithros can get there, he'll catch the pod before inpact.

"Boss, Sunbeam. TacNet identified UFO as Life pod: Imperial origin. Moving to capture..."

He targets the lifepod as he heads toward it, and arms his 60mm head cannons...just in case of shenannigans...

Lyn, eventually we'll need a write up of these bad boys. I'm assuming it has 60mm head cannons, because dern near all Gundams do :P

And she was...wow....yeah every time he tried to think of words his brain stopped working.

Seeming to have gotten control over whatever turmoil was going on in her mind, Anahita stands there with Vare's hand on her shoulder, easily unburdened by it's weight.

"I was approached and requested to champion life, which I am in essence, already aligned to do-- it is my driving purpose, so to speak, due to the embodiment of the Green Way I adhere too. As such, while this individual seemed ... I cannot truthfully say off, it was more, intriguing, though that part is new to me, the desire to study and analyze, I can say that there was a hint of desire and ... destiny?" She looks up at Vare at this, doubt on her mind, or something worse, a fear never really seen before, "So, when it came down to a simple yes or no, as she put it, by all accounts, I knew 'yes' to be the proper and only choice."

She stood there, looking at him, though one hand came up to touch his nearby wrist to grip, though not crushing like, for an ...well, new sort of mannerism that she did not display before, with all this public company and what not.

Her eyes did scan his face, searching for something, seeking something, the scrutiny quite different now, compared to Dreamscapes before.

Vare blinks a few moments, and his mind conjures forth for him an image of three young children - children which, on his first day here at the school, had told him that they were the Champion of Dreams. Literally dreams itself. They had offered him the chance to alternate his view between the Dream and the Waking. He had told them he wasn't sure, and that had been that, as they say. He couldn't help but shake the nagging sensation that when Anahita spoke of Championing Life, it was a similar prospect.

"I thought... perhaps I am mistaken, but I thought you did not believe in destiny, Anahita? You always had a choice, yes? You have shaped this event more than anything else. Even if you felt destined to this, you have shaped coming to it by what has come before."

When Anahita's hand gripped his wrist, his other free hand - non-gripped - came to greet it instinctively, seeking to offer her comfort through the sharing of touch. He was intensely glad that she was not the type to bear a grudge for his withholding of information earlier. She gets a sense of fondness from his expression, though it is overlaid with thoughtfulness as he sorts through his mind. Anahita gets the sense that he would probably have returned a hand to that clean-shaven chin of his if they had both not been taken up in holding her own.

"I... believe I may have heard of something similar here at the school before. Three children... they came to me, telling me that they were the Champion of Dreams. I believe they sensed my seeing into their realm. Perhaps this is similar? Maybe you could seek out this children? Though... they were very young, and their guardians spoke that they did not truly understand what they were."

"Perhaps you should speak with her, Vai. I should check and see if Michael is alright."

"Alright. I'll go talk to her then. Uh... her name started with an A. I'm pretty sure anyway. I remember she introduced herself at the orientation." Vai says, a little unsure, glancing down at the incomplete checklist Fei had given her... still, this was more important.

The demure young woman who shines with Light to Anahita's eyes makes her way over to the young woman, picking delicately through the myriad wounded and their loved ones bent over them.

Eventually she does reach her though, but it could take a little time. And the shy girl doesn't seem super keen on butting in, especially with the way her and the Professor were holding hands... well. Kinda anyway.

Mithros goes to full burn to try to catch the pod and is closing on it. As it clears the horizon and is visible as a smoking meteor from Avalon, a TacNet operator comes over the channel with a bit of panic in her voice. "Sunbeam, you have got to try to divert that thing. Its course will land it within fifty meters of the factory at Kuros. With the kinetic energy it is carrying it will devastate the city. Do not shoot it down unless you can guarantee a complete kill; the debris will still mostly hit Kuros. Can you divert it short? The highest probability of an intact capture is if you bring it down between Avalon and Kuros."

"Arthur, TinMan if I don't see you again, just wanted to say 'get stuffed ya wet Kimp buttocks, haha, see ya in the next life"

Carl keeps the radio on.

The light around Carl shifts bending warping into him, then with deep whooopf! sound he seems to imploded, now a constant screaming sound as the atmosphere is sucked into where he was, and where he was now is the event horizon of a gravitational blackhole, moving slowly up to meet the falling objects. Any how I just think its fun to get him to do something, selfless brave and stupid that will probably kill him, also I think this is the only way I will ever be able to democrat and introduce Carl's little 'Problem' in anything like a safe way in game, I mean he can't do this in class

Pausing in replying, as she keeps her eyes peering around, Anahita isn't paying attention to what her hands are doing, only keeping the one on Vare's wrist while staying alert.

She noted as Vai started walking over towards here, though replying before her arrival.

"I do not believe we are forced to only do as destiny dictates, but, it is our choice in existence that determines it-- so, no. I do not believe in destiny, in principle. Believing in that removes any responsibility from the individual, which is not how I choose to live. That is the path of someone who is afraid of each and every choice they make-- putting their choices into the hands of another. That is not me. This ... this is not destiny, but, there was something she said-- practically built for this. I-- I am over analyzing. Someone is approaching." She falls quiet as Vai walks up.

It would be obvious that Anahita is /staring/ at Vai when she approaches, her one hand still cupped or caressed by Vare, though she is still, apparently, gripping his wrist with her hand as if he provided her with some manner of solid foundation.

Depending on perceptions, Anahita does furrow and un-furrow her brow a moment as Vai steps up, as if 'hearing' something just prior to her arrival. With a shutting of her eyes only a moment, she opens them again and imposes a smile on her face saying, "Greetings. We probably have matters to discuss, if not mistaken?"

Anahita's native tongue isn't the open spoken, obviously, but she does come off as diplomatic, warm and polite. It'd be fairly apparent that something else is plaguing her thoughts, however, depending on perceptions as always.

He was trying to talk smart, there was something about the whole racial angle that nagged him, but there were still some gaping holes in his memories, and he knew this wasn't -- oddly enough, completely how he normally talked, so it was causing him a bit of frustration which he didn't display.

"Listen, if nothing else-- you've got yourself a friend here, through myself, I'd be happy to make sure no one grabs you and drags you back or whatever... just in case. So, keep that in mind, okay, Asha? Least I can promise there, happy to help. Just focus on the future though-- maybe you can find a nice guy to hang out with, fall in love and all that, and voila, it'll all sort out."

He flashed her a charming smile and all that, as they were nearly halfway to the Headmaster's. "I think he's just up the hallways this way... you want me to hang out with you until you're done? I've no idea if they'll appoint someone to be your buddy or what not, I didn't get one, but, in case. Happy to do that. I'd hate to just be dumped off alone somewhere without a contact."

It might seem odd, but his personality did appear to fluctuate between some 'mature' person and the earlier met 'younger guy'. It was rather seamless when it happens. Perhaps he didn't even notice.

Seeing Phaezeriel already helping Michael (and Anthony, more specifically), Fei finally stops for a moment and looks over the list he gave to Vai. He notifies some of the other nurses that he is going to check the Materials and Supplies building for any medical equipment and restock that might have been overlooked.

The young monk exits the Cafeteria and quickly jogs the distance to the Materials and Supplies building.

Dom slides his hand to her cheek. "No. I think would rather you stay near by. I don't think mind can take any more worrying about you. Once things calm down I will feel better, Hopfully." He smiles to her his heart racing with joy.

As he gazed at her, he didn't notice Ginni till she said something. "Oh I was? Sorry about that. So Mel's helping with repairs. Good then she's safe. Well just let her know I'm fine. And thanks for letting me know, it means alot to me." Dom steps back "well I guess I should start helping the healers. Now that I know everyones safe I can concentrate on healing."

"Here's your friend."

There had been something of a merry chase as Midori was following the arrows, but Reviarti had been leading them a different way. So they went through a few circles before Midori had spotted Hew just rounding a bend ahead of her. After all, as Ephebe's spell began to wane in power, her emotions - and the strong sense of panic - had slowly been returning, driving her pace faster and faster.

"Hew-kun!" she cries, sprinting after him and practically diving at him her arms spread wide, happy as she was to see him.

Hew smiled wide as he saw Midori. In his weakened state however when she dove he couldn't stay standing. "Umpf. Hey there. I'm happy to see your alright." He says while wrapping his arms around her.

Zilla smiled as she saw the two hugging. Slowly she bent over and picked up Hew's staff. "Sorry we didn't find you sooner."

The two hit the ground with Midori on top, straddling Hew and hugging him tightly.

There's a strangled cry from Midori as as Zilla's bending down to pick up the staff she gets jerked down into the now-group hug by Midori. "Zilla-chan, Hew-kun! You're both safe! When I saw the infirmary... I was so scared."

Tears run down the golden-skinned aasimar's face, but they're happy tears, and she smiling with great relief.

"Roger that."

It was moving too fast to stop, without turning BB into a billion coin lawn dart. He alters his path slightly to hit it, plotting an intercept point to bump and divert the path of the lifepod away from Avalon and Kuros. He ignores the impact warning as he nudges, then pushes the pod appropriately, and breaks contact. He takes a long loop around slowing his speed, then flys back to where it will hit, and to avoid the gravity anomoly that his senors are warning him of.

"Uhh Hammer guy, this is 'Bloody Big Robot'... I've diverted the "biggun" as you called it...all you should catch is debris, over."

Anahita intense and directed gaze makes Vai a little uncomfortable as she closes the gap to meet up with the Champion of Life.

"Hey. Yeah. Um... I'm Vai by the way. Vai Sunwake." A shallow, perfunctory curtsy accompanies the reintroduction, and Vai will give Anahita time to respond likewise before continuing on. "I know we met earlier, but it's been a crazy week. So." Vai does seem particularly shy, especially considering that Anahita may remember that she is a Blue Dragon - or at least that is what Ehos had said. Her shyness magnifies if Anahita keeps her intense gaze on her. She doesn't maintain eye contact too long, though she /is/ trying to be friendly, despite her apparent meekness.

"Um... How much did your patron tell you? " She tries, without any other preamble.
