As Vai approaches Anahita and begins to speak, Vare will simply stand stoicly by, his hand still cupping hers and he makes no move to break the grip on his wrist. One part of his brain was attempting to catalgoue the interaction, learning all he could.
"Uhh Hammer guy, this is 'Bloody Big Robot'... I've diverted the "biggun" as you called it...all you should catch is debris, over."
Over the radio masked with static cames the nearly inaudible response.

He can feel mass, it was coming fast, deep in his gravity well he could feel it, mass in a number of places, falling from above. He reached out his body and talked to the mass, pulling them to him, pulling them down down into the mare of the beast, they where coming fast and speed'ed up at his tugs. Good food was best devoured quickly and once with him he would never let them go such was his hunger.
Outside the debris fell toward the factory, if even such small things hit at that speed, the shock and blast would level and kill every thing near. Some works stopped to look up at what as going on above, The Robot hitting something and a hole the the sky, Pulling what was falling to it, as the falling bits got close to Carls event horizon they started to divert and converge, heading towards its inky darkness. They slipped in soundlessly, one after another.
They looked as the last fell into the dark beyond dark, then a moment passed, to be broken with a whuuping!! sound, the atmospheric rush stilled and the small blackhole imploded into nothingness and silence, nothing now was left.
No debri, no event horizon, no Carl.
Back at the school the Hammer Shaft powered down, all systems off, dead and still.

The "gentle" nudge Mithros gave the craft did little to alter its course; it was carrying too much inertia. Not having enough time to be more firmly "gentle", a sharper blow from the massive mech diverted the life pod, and a powerful electrical discharge slammed into Big Boy 2. BB2's controls are scrambled for a few fractions of a second before the electrical hardening restabilized its systems.
As a result of the impact, several pieces broke off of the life pod and its flight path destabilized once more. With its damaged hull, Mithros is able to get a detailed scan of the inside of the life pod and its one passenger.
Some of the pieces continued on their original trajectory towards Kuros, but Carl's localized gravity well saved the lives of dozens of the inhabitants of the small city.
The largest mass was diverted fairly sharply down and to the west as it began to tumble and spin.
One piece was deflected much more sharply downwards and seems that it will be a close call to hitting the administration wing of Avalon if it does not hit directly. Mithros' targeting computer is able to predict a 57% chance Avalon will be hit. Carl is too far out of position to affect this piece, and Mithros has exactly time for one shot from the head guns before it strikes.

"S!+#!!" he says as a large piece breaks off and heads toward Avalon.Knowing he's got one shot, he leads the target a bit and fires a burst from the head cannons. He hears a low whirring noise as the cannons spin up and fire...
Mithros lives up to his reputation as he scores a direct hit on the target, breaking it up entirely. Many bits of shrapnel rain onto the wall and roop of Avalon, but they carry too little mass to do more than chip off bits of the stone work. Inside the cafeteria, however, it sounds like a case of the hardest hail ever known is hammering into the ceiling. Given the events of the day, several of the more shell-shocked students simply faint as their exhausted minds are overwhelmed. A small knot of the flightier girls run out of the room screaming.
The wreckage of the life pod chooses that moment to smash into the ground. The shockwave from the impact flattens every tree in a two mile radius of its impact site, and a 25 foot deep crater marks the center of the blast zone. The mini-earthquake of its impact can be felt everywhere within 30 miles of ground zero.
Anahita feels a wave of pain and nausea as so many creatures and plants are simply extinguished.
Sara clutches her bear tighter while she sits in a corner of the room as even more hell rains down on the school.
Breathes a sigh of relief as he sees that chunk of debris disintegrate as his shots hit it. Any pride felt is lost, though as he sees the expanding shockwave from the lifepod's impact. He flys down to get a scan on what was the occupant...
"Boss, Sunbeam. Lifepod impact at <gives coordinates>. Going to scan the impact sight, survivors aren't expected, over." he says somberly.
Ardiente's instincts kick as at the sudden hail storm, pulling up some stone and spreading it out 15 feet above the ground, protecting Raelle first and then others, forming an umbrella of stone over the whole cafeteria... Of course... No debris falls, though the earthquake that follows sends even more disquiet among the students.
Feeling a little silly for overreacting so, Ardiente streams the umbrella back into the floor, from where he had pulled the stone.

The massive mech nears the crater and to his surprise, Mithros' sensors detect a faint life sign. The signal is weak and seems to be fading slowly, but something is still alive in the wreckage. As the sensors gather more information, he can detect a now broken stasis chamber in the ruin of the life pod; the machine is trying to function, but the damage is too great and Mithros can tell that power failure is rapidly approaching. When the stasis unit goes offline, it is unlikely that whatever is in there will long survive. The inrushing data continues to build a picture of what life is there, and it seems to be human, female, and young.
The small swarm of birds flies with him as quickly as they can.
Professor Nix lowers his upraised hands, and the crackling field of kinetic energy between the stone umbrella and the ceiling fades. He looks over to where Ardiente is standing and gives him a respectful and approving nod.
arthur moves next to melody and renkai at the sounds and activates his shields then pumping extra power into the nanomachines expands the shields to cover all three of them
the sudden downpour of shrapnal catches Mel by surprise, she was so lost with Kai she never realized what was about to happen. and the shards of metal begin to impale the building and ground around them.
Mel turns to move toward cover as Kai moves to protect her. Arthur running to put up a shield around the three of them. its like the world has gone into slow motion.
mere milliseconds before the shield is activated a metal shard pierces Mel's shoulder forcing her onto the ground. the blood pooling around her as she lay face down in the dirt.
the sudden downpour of shrapnal catches Mel by surprise, she was so lost with Kai she never realized what was about to happen. and the shards of metal begin to impale the building and ground around them.
Mel turns to move toward cover as Kai moves to protect her. Arthur running to put up a shield around the three of them. its like the world has gone into slow motion.

arthur sees the bits of jagged metal in them and he curses repeatedly in his head
there is a sense of pressure in his head and he glows slightly giving him a golden aura but then it fades
after a brief period, roughly 18 seconds after the last piece of metal impacts his back and arms he folds the shields into himself and tries to wake them up so he can carry them back to the infirmary
"come on guys wake up, wake up don't die just wake up... HERMES!!!"
Hermes sprints out of the infirmary. "Yes sir?"
Renkai has already healed melody and refuses to leave her side...despite the obvious pain and wounding

Renkai drew a knife on Arthur when he laid a hand on melody.... and promptly drops it as he no longer has feeling in his hands....
Renkai loses conciousness and instead of looking at his face, hermes sees a blank white mask.
As soon as he has the weapon Hermes points his palm and the weapon is wrenched out of his already weakened hand by a strong and localized magnet. Once he passes out Hermes lifts him, making sure to not push any more shrapnel further into him.
He follows quickly after Arthur with Renkai's chest on it's back with his shrapnel-hedgehog back outside to not injury him more.
"Well, did my stalker get hurt?"

"Come here, my friend can heal the pest, if he will."
