I was looking at Tybs's Champion powers and it occurred to me that the only healing he has is the big back-to-life one. Would it be OK if I added healing as the Witch hex as his lowest level power? As it is, his lowest is a cantrip. And that's a little lame, even for the lowest one.

Yeah, it's fine with me. It fits well with the concept, so go for it.

Ya, his final ability is pretty cool and is all flavor. Plus there's a cool flavor that happened to fit all of them, his aura, and his item.
I likes it. :)
Also, I had a funny thought, did anyone find it funny that the short time Champion of Freedom wasn't played by an American?
Just kind of funny, considering America is all FREEDOM! and stuff...

lynora |

I had toyed with the idea of being the Champion of Freedom.
Hmm. I could see that as a possibility...although you might be too emotionally stable....:P
(I could also see it as being some kind of penance, though Taron can see the downside of being a Champion from observing Ephebe and all her troubles with Kronos.)
"Ace" |

Ace is actually perfect for Freedom, in my mind. Able to do most anything he wants, very anti slavery or any sort of bound service, ability to become anybody he wants, all sorts of freedom type abilities and mindset.
Which is part of the reason I chose Destiny, as that's not really inline with him currently, so it will present interesting RP potential, plus the whole concept seems much more fun to me than Freedom.

Does it count as being ninja'ed if it just takes a really long time to type out a response on this phone? XD
I don't know, but I was getting carried away...I found all sorts of music for mel and I really wanted to get it out there.
anyway I slowed down now. mainly cause I am tired and need to get to bed.

BREAKING NEWS FOR LYN, FIRECLAW, ICE, AND THE KIDLET.
(these are the people I know it applies to. Maybe more.)
If you've put off registering your 3ds to a club Nintendo account, if you register it and one of a couple 3ds games, AFTER MARCH STARTS you get a free soft copy of pokemon X or Y! Yay procrastination!

Lang Fei |

was looking over some stuff was wondering something...
how would Lang's (or any bender) bending ability interact with Kodjack's magic drain ability?
technically bending is not magic but it could be like magic I would think it falls into the same category of a monk's ki pool.
also can only imagine now Kodjack is stuck sparring with lang (a 12 year old kid).

Melody Waverider |

one thing at a time
...
does the screwdriver have any data ports?
No data ports. it transmits the data via micro sonic frequencies that are recieved on Mel's datapad which can then be transfered to other systems.
with the correct settings it can transmit data to any recieving "computer" but it is normally attuned to Mel's datapad which was modified for this purpose.
data can be read directly by opening the acces port (where the settings are made) but you would need to understand her native language.

I too echo this concern, for other reasons, however.
Clarity on any 'permanently draining' ability, especially in a "magic" rich environment such as our Avalon, is very important.
How does it affect psionics? How does it affect magical creatures? Per rules in Pathfinder, Artifacts might dismissed or pause their abilities, but never permanently by any PC's hand or means, without some massive quest (i.e. Ring to volcano of Moldor where it was made).
With all due respect to the intent, the casualness of it's draining effect isn't sitting well with my mind without better clarity or supported means to resist. The game system traditionally never let's you do things automatically without rolling some means of defense.
As for Benders, if that's just spirit energy or life force, probably not affected, but again, depends on the setting. This goes back to a similar question brought up a bit ago, no?
Lynora, can you clarify how this magic drain works? I'd imagine the school might be suffering merely by his presence too.
Appreciate official word from our GM, as it stands, my hackles are raised by the ability as presented thus far.
Cheers.

lynora |

Calm down, Dami. Let those hackles rest.
Regarding psionics, we use magic/psionics transparency (ie the default) so yes it would effect psionics. Ki is something entirely different, so no, benders would not be effected.
Also, the 'drain' is temporary. And the artifact thing is an editing error on my part. It's meant to refer to magic items in general not Artifacts, which can only ever be suppressed. I knew what he meant and just overlooked it. And I should have had him specify how long someone needs to be in close proximity and what defined close proximity to void confusion. It just didn't occur to me. My bad.
So I'll answer those questions now and then it never has to be a problem again. A caster or item has to be within 5 feet of Kodjack for three rounds in order to be affected. It doesn't stop their magic. The effect is listed in his profile. It reduces damage by 5 and duration by 2 rounds for any spells they cast until they've been away from Kodjack (outside of 5 feet) for 1 hour per 1 minute spent in close proximity. Magic items on the other hand can eventually be fully drained of their power from constant contact with Kodjack. This is likely to be less contentious so I'm going to just leave it at that with the items. If it becomes an issue I'll address it, but really it's not that big a deal. This isn't like Adon's thing. It's much more minor and nothing to worry about. And if the school can survive Adon, it'll have no trouble with Kodjack. :)

Assuming the backstory is alright, the firebird is done. I'll work on creating an alias.
Yes, the story is alright, but you flip-flopped which house. If you meant Niyambi you should coordinate with DB3...if you meant to stay with Surya like you said before just make that switch and it's all good.

Lang Fei |

I still think it would be hilarious if Lang were to spar with Kodjack, and win
big manly barbarian beaten by a 12 year old kid.
I promise to even not use any airbending!
of course I could really eat those words if Lang looses.
anyway thanks for the info about the ability. I wasn't really concerned, just curious. Lang does not have any magic items anyway.

I kinda wonder how this should interact with Tybs. He doesn't have spells, and as long as he isn't near him for a really really long time, there's just that factor of "there's a lot more where that came from."
I can understand the decreased damage to him.
I'm really not sure if this will be a problem, as Tybs isn't a close range fighter.
And for Lim-Môr/Kev, do summons dissapear if they're close for too long?

I'm going to say that the summoned creature should make a Will save (DC 26) at the end of three rounds in close proximity to him, and every round thereafter. If they fail then they disappear.
