Well this really wasn't the intended use for retrograde. In this case, it was still healing him, but that doesn't mean he isn't expending the energy to do this. This isn't pain or anything, just the fact that he has no more calories in his body left after it was over. Near the end of that, he was running on adrenaline and the feeling retrograde gave him.
Does that make sense?

Because retrograde made him feel better the harder he worked, he was overworking himself substantially to gain the euphoric high that came with that. Because of the euphoria he failed to notice the retrograde ending in time and kept overdoing it, thus he hyperventilated and passed out. This should provide enough logic to cover the action while not dictating that retrograde always does this.

Is there any chance we can speed up the wrapping up of the night? My brother asks me almost once a week if its Monday yet, as he really wants to bring in his teacher.

There are other things that have to happen first. Sorry. I know people get impatient. I'm trying to wrap things up, even got a bit railroady already here, but I have a mental checklist of events that are going to happen at certain set times, and Fi has an event still coming up that she's been planning. And the Kuros wrap-up may take a bit longer, although most of it is not necessarily dealt with in depth. Plus, there are other social interactions happening/going to happen. At least one at your request. We're moving forward, but I can't give you a set time for wrap-up yet.
** spoiler omitted **Edit: If he's that impatient just have him have his teacher show up 'early'. Most of the events are in the people reacting to them stage rather than more stuff actually happening. It's reactions I need to give time for. It's already evening so that may make it easier for him.

Well, a lot of kids are what can be most optimistically described as troubled when they show up. I'm sure by now the school has learned not to judge...and to keep the detention room(s) ready just in case. ;)

Only thing I have to say about it is that he's had a loooong journey, isn't happy that he's going to a place that's famed to be adept in magic in the first place, and is only doing so because he feels that he must in order to gain revenge. Having someone stand in his way the moment he got so close to his goal (and thinking the headmaster is a guy who is a warrior that takes the heads of his enemies as trophies) was not exactly what he wanted to have happen. It's really a miracle he didn't fly into an actual barbarian rage.
That's the reasoning behind his behavior, anyway. I at least think it's entertaining, though I may be a little biased. >.>

(In other words, while running, she moves 100ft per second.)
Note, I'm not being all to serious about the long journey thing. She can't get tired. Ever.

Or any children from House Surya or House Niyambi? Weird powers will be entertained. All of the noble houses have at least one child with some sort of mutation. They've all been trying to hide it and doing a great job up until now. Except House Phoebus because Igni's mutation was considered desirable.
