As I have said more than once, Johnny is very intelligent but not very wise. But this could go a number of ways, the one that's being laid out is the one I kid of know would come. Johnny is an easy target for a partilyer kind of, 'cynical spin' that will back up the status Quo, where as Johnny is all about Status Vardis. With his views on the school, I expected johnny to have a ruff ride on this, what hes throwing up is another perspective. Wile most want will do any thing not to rock the rock the proverbial boat, Johnny will push.
That's fine. Play him how you see fit.
Just as long as you remmber no matter how smart he is, the Empire has been a space faring military power for centuries. He will not out-tech them. He can not make a ship they won't find or can't catch, or will be unable to track if things are left for them to track from. Like datapads of the same tech, left behind for no apparent reason other than to spite 'the man'.
It's all cool to be out 'fighting the man', until the man notices, and you can't stop him, and inadvertantly drag him to the doorstep of people he calls his friends.
Then the why's and the intentions won't matter. Only the deaths he is responsible for will.
An intelligent man would see the pitfalls. Only a moron says "f**k it' and does it anyway.
You know why Tamrin was so upset with Taron? Johnny is doing the same thing, with less stealth and guile.
The setting will react to what Johnny has done. Now we all get to reap the consequences.

Easy man! The CULTURE will fix all. Give into the CULTURE. Less thinking required that way too!

I believe the only person to answer that question, Dalesman, is Spug-- who does seem, in my experience as a player here thus far, to often have 'knowledge of all things' just to promote scenes/stories.
Therefore, I believe you'll need to direct the question to him, more directly, unless Lynora wants to step in and say something like, "Oh, Spugly can do that when he wants."
:is quite confused sometimes as to who's 'reality altering' level of ability, and who's merely a player:
None the less, story lines are great and fun, so .. rules light and all that, ignore the META players?
I dunno.

Well if the Empire has Culture level tech Avalon is S***ed sorry but its a fact. There is a nick-name for culture tech "wa*k tech" as it wa*ks one every thing. The tech is NOT the point of the books, its a by line,
But Truth is the empire can't have CULTURE level tech, there way to paranoid to have MIND level AIs that drive the stuff, see You just can't have it both ways, no Black Mareans but self awar god like AIs, from what I have been told no way they would.
Johnny is also bound to NOT hand tech to the lower evolved dragon empire , that would be very bad and there is all ready in place protection should that happen.
Storm left becouse he felt he was being asked to be a weapon.
If your saying Johnny is dumb in what he did, will that's down to what theirs say happens next, from the sound of it johnny will be used to make some kind of point, well so be it. nothing I can do to stop that. but the truth is not every caring action leads inevitably to disaster in fact the opersit is normally true. If the idea of universal suffrage is not to your taste them by all means move on to story book view of the world. beguiling is the story book view of the world, where if TV and films says A follows B then it must,
I know whats coming some refinance to "human nature" and I will say this here and now any one who starts justifying there world view by siting 'self evident human nature', know little about humans and even less about nature.
:)
I know all hehe
ok ok
johnnys in for a fall but as Firepants said its fun.
well i hope it is
and dont worry the culture fixs all.

Vai, honey! Sweet heart.
Stop with this shyness, seriously! Just bite his face off. You're a magical monster, not some ...insipid high school drama cliche! Gawds!
He's already com back from death still loving you. Imagine the joy he'd feel once you showed him your courage and passion!
:sighs, shakes head:
(ps: JK about the insipid thing)
Dom Waverider
So Let me get all this straight.
Culture tech is all about Sentient AI's.
Dragon empire is too paranoid to have sentient AI's because they can't control them.
The dragon empire has super advanced tech /magic?
I haven't seen a reason why they couldn't have sentient AI's.
Since machines sure can be hard to deal with sometimes, but not impossible.

You are. I have a few friends that are on suicide watch right now... it hurts but it is definitely the right thing to do
Monkeygod
You absolutely did the right thing. Better to worry about this being right than what other bad things could happen if you didn't do this.
@Spug, the main point was trying to make is we're all at least semi in the same time period, with Ace and Ginni being perhaps an hour or so behind Tybs and Johnny.
However, racing off to other areas probably took you a few hours. Which would put you and Ty much further along in the night once you came back.
That's fine, if you wanna not have to retcon, but then Ginni and I need to catch up as it were.
Also this doesn't have to take place in town, just thought it would be more interesting if it did.
Tybalt Baneko
Spug is asleep MG. He wants a retcon and I'm OK with it. We are in a club right now. Just go dancing there and we'll say we are on the same time schedule when you get there after us. ;)

Retcon is the worst thing to do in a creative environment. Especially one with other people playing IN it.
You're taking away what someone may have or hasn't planned for personal reasons, when it's /just a game/.
That's all I'm going to say. Plus all this insane travel speed, warping around and superior awareness of super secret stuff, really drives my anti-META hackles.
Grrr.

You do realize that this is .. well, you /can/ get it fixed, yet you want your power.
So-- you're choosing to be frozen, rather than have the means to socialize.
No pity! Wallow in your own self-imposed prison!
