Agartha is composed of a lot of different cultures. Some of those cultures are very anti-magic. Basically I looked at where Johnny was headed and decided to have him set down in the village that Sadie and Dara were from. The angry mob will be there shortly.
Basically the idea is if you don't stop and do some research first you never know what kind of situation you're walking into.

Nah, the idea that everyone would be grateful for Johnny's interference is depressingly predictable. Not respecting the indigenous culture backfires sometimes. Your chances of running into hostile cultures is greater if you don't learn some of the history and geography before you take off. The percentage of hostile cultures is greater than the percentage of cultures that don't mind being interfered with.
This kind of thing can take weeks of diplomatic negotiation to do successfully.

Well we can swap cliches all day, in the end its your call, your world, This is more than a one off for Johnny, this is a fact finding trip as well. If Johnny drops out the sky into a isolated medieval school with no knowledge at all of the bigger world. Then s/he will still lean something, no fail here just more knowledge. Think is johnny will just try again, looking for a better place more receptive, if s/he fails she will keep on, others at the school have their own agendas, Johnnys is this, s/he just can't stand by, just can not, there is more going on here then Johnny getting happy faces and hand shakes.

There are plenty of happy endings for a certain value of happy. But yeah, anytime there's people involved it gets complicated. Jealousy is a powerful emotion and there will be problems from this. If he asked anyone at all (say, Tyrrin for example) who knew about the politics of Agartha he could help lots of people without causing problems. But running off half-cocked doesn't get you a lot of happy ending material. Mostly it gets more drama.

No, but once more you move too fast. This isn't the first time its happend. I can't imagine its been more than an hour since they arrived at the restaurant. Probably less, since Lyn said it wasn't crowded, which means they were served kinda quick.

Sounded great until I found out their rates. Six months of assistance can be mine for the low low price of $3,000.00. I say again.....Wow.

Pretty normal going rate for that...the problem is that more than half of them are scams and it's hard to sort out who is who. :/

The only Sunwake with the temperament to create that cult of personality is Jiminy and he's taken himself out of the picture in favor of rebuilding the planet's industry.

As I have said more than once, Johnny is very intelligent but not very wise. But this could go a number of ways, the one that's being laid out is the one I kid of know would come. Johnny is an easy target for a partilyer kind of, 'cynical spin' that will back up the status Quo, where as Johnny is all about Status Vardis.
With his views on the school, I expected johnny to have a ruff ride on this, what hes throwing up is another perspective. Wile most want will do any thing not to rock the rock the proverbial boat, Johnny will push.
I hope you realize Spug that we are not bashing your playing of Johnny - I think it's great to have a dissenting voice.
