Not a good combination when trying to get job interviews...bleh. (o_O)
Mucinex-D during the day, Benadryl at night. It helps, aye.

its not that cold, and if you have a jacket you could use it as a blanket, and if you don't your body would warm the immiediet area so the freezing would be temporary

Great Dale now I'm gonna have to narrate your voice as a pirate. :P

I remembered why i don't do that more often-
Thing is, i have to try and sleep on the carpet here, and with noisy kids around. The carpet triggers my allergies, by the way.Wanna have star meet Marcell?
Sounds good.
Get and inflatable bed, life saver as well, have on at the office for late nights

I sincerely hope that knitting is part of craft clothing.
Also can you imagine a bladed scarf dancer with one of those? Mine is like 12 feet and I can use it as a whip. ^_^

Ty of all people.. you should get the reference...
I guess my scarf is about that long

I did. I went as Tom for our Town's tiny Con. Jacket scarf fro wig button down shirt fedora.
A bladed scarf dancer with a scarf like Tom's would be devastating.

If you want to know why I'm such on-edge idiot lately....
Some of these may be irrational, stupid, or even just plain wrong. 'M putting this here.... Heck, I don't even know why.
Unrelated to Avalon
One- tests, finals, ect.... Pretty common issues
Two- Having emotions at all. For me, this is hard on it's own, and a cause of near-constant confusion.
Three- lack of sleep.
Four- financial worry. Can't do anything about it at all- my parents problem, and I'm just along for the ride.
Avalon related-
One- A feeling of rather constant uselessness and overall irrelevance.
Two- champions. They may be neat, but players who don't have one seem to be missing a huge part of the game, especially with... (Cut short because i must.)
Three- i feel like i have to take and latch into others to get any plot done. Both adon and roel's large plots came about through Johnny's intervention, not thier own time. Settro was odd, in that i had no idea why he did what he did.
Four- i keep feeling I'm playing my characters wrong.
Five- apparently, according to monkeygod, the way i play my charceter is the reason they aren't having enough/meaningful/relevant interactions. I don't know how true this is, but it really made me worry.

Re: Champions. We're actually trying to downplay the role of Champions in the game. Sure, they get some nifty powers, but honestly these days (since the defeat of Khoda and Chan), being a Champion is merely a side-occupation. Which is fine, because patrons are in for the long haul.
Re: Other stuff, character centric.
There's no such things as "playing your characters wrong" Icehawk. As long as you maintain continuity (which you've done a good job of IMO), you're characters are free to do whatever.
I like your characters, I think I would miss them if they were gone.
However, if you are looking for advice... details. Often times, I'm not entirely sure how to react to your posts because I feel they are sometimes missing crucial details. Details help create an emotional response, they make your characters feel more alive.
I'm talking the little things... things that may not always been hyper-fun to write, but are great to read. Stuff like small movements, the way someone stands or holds themselves, etc.
THAT is what truly turns a race/class combo into a person. This is why I don't care too much to guess what Anahita (for example) is... I'm more interesting in finding out stuff about her in game (which is why all my males have an interest in her. She has the feminine mystique ;) )
Do you get what I mean? I'm not saying "ur doin it wrong", I'm just trying to help with your concerns.
Roel |
That is impossible with roel...
But for everyone else, i see what you mean...
Except i have no clue what people do when they feel emotions. I can make general observations of what they say, but body language is hard for me to understand, let alone write for...
I'll work on it...

Body language can be hard to learn. What we do for the kidlet is demonstrate an exaggerated version while explaining what the emotion that goes with it is so that he can start to learn to recognize what it looks like. If your friends don't mind ask them to do that for you. Observation is the best way to learn something. Not sure if that helps, but hopefully.
Also, yes as FCD said, we're trying to downplay the role of Champions. It's just something that is. It's not really plot central as much now. The other thing I will mention is that most characters rely on other characters to move their plot forward. It's generally a cooperative effort. More a feature than a flaw. No man is an island and all that. Sometimes it's planned, but a lot of this is improv. We just act like we meant it to go that way.

of course you know all magic comes with a price dearie.
many of these memories are now locked in melody's subconcious but she will just use autohypnosis to supress them.
Melody will know Fei as well as she does but she will not have the feelings for him just the lnowledge of the events.
also wonder if Kai is lying to melody? a way to find out...
Melody Waverider |
Yeah, I figured Melody would be getting them.
Also... if they are touching for too long... then Vai's neuroses may begin to trigger flashbacks.
Those aren't happy memories. You can trust me on that.
see gameplay Melody was trying to bring a small amount of those out as well(as they relate to Fei) but the connection would be broken before it got out of hand (hopefully)
saddness as well as happiness is what makes him who he is, those feelings are needed just as much.

Well, lyn, i don't think that will help. I've had a 2-year every Wednesday class on social aspects of life before. First thing they made sure i learned was that a foot away from someone's face was much too close. Overall, i know how to recognize them, but as for the details of what each means, i can get a general idea, but the subtle quirks of person to person are so hard to create. And if i do anything, i must do it right. So, I'm going to study this for the next week after tests, if not longer. Roel is easy to express, because i can make his expressions up entirely. Most of them are rather unreadable and alien.
Oh, and i forgot- Wednesday, I'm having surgery for the first time in my life. Minor, not too big a deal, but I'll be under painkillers on Wednesday. Perhaps Thursday. Mom thinks I'll need wendsday-Friday off of school. I don't see the big deal, personally. Well, I'll probably get what she means after wendsday.
When it comes to improv, i was REALLY hoping that adon wouldn't have either of the following happen until he developed at least one stable relationship. He was pretty much, and still is, doomed to go insane if one of these happened.
Get swept aside in any kind of combat by a Mage. (Tybalt did this.)
Use his anti-magic directly (jhonny exploded him.) (not saying they acted wrong.)
Ever notice that before the anti-magic explosion, adon was kinda cheery? Well, no spoilers for what's going on in his head, but he is going rather insane.
(The anti-magic itself is not causing that issue.)
Improv is great, but hindsight is 20/20, and i shouldn't have put him in a class with Johnny at all.
Catching up on other things now- wrote this in notepad in a teachers classroom without Internet in some spare time i had.

Icehawk, good luck with the surgery. And your mom is right. When I had my wisdom teeth out my parents sent me back to school the next day all hoped up on codeine...it was surreal to say the least. then again my parents made some interesting choices when it came to my medical care. The bad kind of interesting. Just to be clear.

Anyone mind if we skip waiting on Dragonborn, he's been MIA for two or so days-- my impatience meter is beeping hard core.
Otherwise, more roaming by the non-official student. :)
Back in a few hours.
Damiani: Dunno if this works for you, but there has been quite alot of activity in Anahita's area. (First Ardiente and Raelle zoomed past, then the Tybalt group blipped by in the other direction).
Could be an in if you wanted /something/ to do while Tryko'Sam is a wandering.
I might have something up my sleeve for Tryko, but I can't do it until we do the 5-6 change over.
