Alright, I'm gonna start with the obvious. This is a non-issue. The real issue was that Johnny wasn't asking permission from other characters before charging ahead with stuff and needs to reign in his enthusiasm a bit. Player has already recognized this problem and agreed he needs to fix it. Issue resolved.
Next issue: there seems to be a massive misunderstanding that creeps up again and again about power levels in this game. To begin with, the staff....they're being nice and helping you all grow and develop by not interfering too much. Also, they are grossly overworked. That does not mean that they are not capable of dealing with problems should a student go off the rails. It's happened before and will most likely happen again. So no, there is not a single student, no matter how awesome, who can best the teachers. Now, students are all subjected to the same limits in character creation. I'm a pretty smart cookie, so please give me some credit for noticing stuff. I've read all these character sheets. If it sounds too good to be true, there's one of two options. You misunderstood how something worked, or option two, it comes with a catch. Usually a really massive one. The GM giveth and the GM taketh away. ;P

Ace actually does have a drawback, a potentially very bad one, but its kinda a social problem, in that others "set it off"
I tried a few times to see if various PCs would trigger it, but to no avail.

I'm sorry Lyn, it seemed once again Ace was being attacked for supposedly being all uber powerful, which really bothers me, since he definitely isn't.
I think the only two things he'll truly excel in are skill checks and one on duels.
Planned just right, I don't think there's a student around who can beat him in a duel, but a fair amount of that would rely on him using magic. Without any spell buffs, that's a different story and I really don't know the outcomes.

The hight tech candy box has just flown away, nkw johnny is on his lonesome, storm is its own being and so dos its own thing like going off to meet som one.
Skills and vr skills I'm going to limit them, johnny dos not read minds out of principle and as th Only way johnny can get vr skills and feats is by doibg just thatbone negates th other, so no music skills fo johny again. We can just say it was storms drum set he used that's now gone with storm.
All in all simpler. And upholding of weatens law of gaming.
The main point is: arguing about this stuff only takes Lyn's time away from updating the game thread and entertaining us with her brilliance!

Its to level out the game, and take away the Teno-fix for all things from Johnny, It will help Johnny grow and learn and also test s/he in a way I think is good,

well dave I don't know if it will have any bearing but in an indiresct way Lang may have similar problems regading Raelle and the del Sol family. (of course not as severe as dave's problems)
If you remember Lang was there to help dave and Raelle to get to know each other.
Lang removed the distractions so you could meet. guess that once they remember that, she will probably not like Lang much either.

Yep, pretty much this. I was gonna have it show up slowly but with Dave having so much influence on her and then using so much psionic power it really sped things up.

Don't. As traumatic as events are for the characters, from a narrative point of view this is great drama/character development. All the characters involved have a great opportunity right now to grow in ways they wouldn't have otherwise.
You wanna talk about feeling guilty? I had some horrible horrible plans for Vai... you can ask Lyn on that... I ended up axing most of it.
Also, I actually sometimes feel actually jealous when I'm reading the Mithros stuff about Raelle. That's when I know I need to take a step back and do something else for a bit.
