not all foxes are scavengers, many are closely related to coyotes, some have manerisims similar to domesticated dogs, some are predators (though not apex predators) foxes are a varied bunch,
and yes I know keme is a jerk, I have gotten to enough of the back logs to tell me that much.
and as for the jaguar, dude people at one point or another have worshiped everything under the sun, to include cockroaches so that doesn't really say much,
(as a note foxes have also been worshiped, example Irani, japanese god)
I like foxes because they signify intelegence and cunning and grace but not wisdom or strength

Not really, David has a spelljammer craft not known for being slow, as they can go any place in an instant, And johnny has a Culture LCU, that can remake itself to be one very large ZPE Hyperspace Drive with a seat.
Even in normal space it can hit just under light speed, thats with out displacing itself across the system to planet.so 2 mins to land from system to planet is slow.
Mind you, you have yet to hit the wards, they slow every one down real fast.
