Arr missed that, thought champions replaced Epic, I just did not bother in the end with Rosa as all ready Mythic with HOPF as well adding Epic would be just silly, what next Hero points Narr Im with Professor Antergrenti De'Nown,"Make Tea not war".
As for age Rosa was around when the Gold was running the Empire, over 1000 years ago, so zix is a kid.
and Dave why I'm I getting my Spi-de cen-sis saying "power trip Teacher idea" ??
not really, spellweaves are powerful yes, but this is a teacher, i just like the idea of giving names to the teachers, though he has a son (asexual reproduction so adjective is wierd) I don't plan on doing much with him, just giving names to the teachers, and I did not make up the race they already exist in Dnd.
and I was joking about the Kid comments. Spelllweaves stop aging at 5 hundred (or possibly 2 hundred or 1 thousand I forget, in any case its when they are able to reproduce,) they don't appear to age after 1 hundred, they are capable of having one kid throughout their lifetime which Zix did 178 years ago, which will likely be unimportant here.
on the other hand, this whole game satisfies my 'fix' for powerful role play, all without the need to advance and get stronger
of course lyn has the right to say no, and as I don't plan on doing much with him and no one is in abjuration, I wont be bummed out about it.
as a PS, the immunity to psionics only applies if they never gain Psionic powers, which his son has in the form of being a soul knife, (gsaulted with magus)
spellweaves are sustained by magic in the air and are always trying to find out new things about magic, a whole tribe of them might attack someone on another plane just to take a magic item that they haven't seen before.

And your going to let one go in a School full of unique magic and places.
Thing is, is he Davids Dad, you know my Spider sense just went off again.
hehe

Daves parents were killed after shipping him off to here Superman style. Tis in his back story.

no relation to Dave, the son might show up later, probably won't
he's not likely to steel from students, though he might go places he's not supposed to to 'examine' magical objects
you might want to get that spider sense re-calibrated

what motivates him, pursuit of knowledge, to him all knowledge is important, and magic is life, that kind of stuff, i don't expect to do much with him, as he is a teacher who has no PCs in his class especially as he doesn't eat and thus does not need to go to the cafeteria, but I just found it interesting to make

Vare, the Summoner |

I don't think Vare will be teaching any PCs either, but and his posts are going to be time comsuming to write... but writing for him is going to be alot of fun. :D
Also, whenever I post for Vare, I will likely be doing two different posts, as Vare is a little... well, he has a condition.
So in order to keep some sort of order to his posts, I'll seperate what he sees and what is actually happenning, with his world tagged under the spoiler "Inside Vare's Mind". You all are free to read these spoilers. Knowing anything in them would be meta-game knowledge though, please keep that in mind.

GM Fireclaw |

Also, did anyone notice that we gained a teacher named Nix and one named Zix? That's gonna cause some confusion. Mind if we call you Bruce to keep it straight?

Salis of Bletherad |

Yah I stated out Salis before I knew too much of what was needed. However I plan on having some growth with him anyhow. Besides it's still fun having a arcane magic teacher that can't use arcane magic and his divine magic is pretty weak.

GM Fireclaw |

Essentially, an english guy named Michael shows up at an aussie university... all the professors are named Bruce.
"Is your name not Bruce? That's gonna cause some confusion. Alright if we call you bruce to keep it clear?" -paraphrased ;P

Lang Fei |

the network at school blocks youtoube, summery please
Ok now i must explain Monty Python.... (might as well explain the meaning of life)
this will greatly decrease the comedic value of said sketch
but basically several Australian guys all teachers meet new teacher.
all teachers named bruce. but new teacher isn't so they decide it best to call the new teacher Bruce. (very simplified summary better if watched...classic Monty Python)
ninja's again drat

Many apologies for my absence today. Today has not gone according to plan at all. :/
And in about five minutes I get to go and hope I can catch my kid's teacher long enough to tell her that she's being frakking unreasonable with her homework deadline. I try to back up the teachers and work with them as much as possible, but this is just out of line and completely ridiculous based on other SCHOOL activities that all also have to be done at the same time. The kids have to sleep sometime. >:(

Tybalt Baneko |

Be sure to state that lack of sleep affects learning. Backing stuff up makes it harder to deny
:)

GM Fireclaw |

Don't worry about us Lyn. Game will still be here when you are less busy. Kick that teacher's butt ;)

lynora |

Well, that went better than expected. When they gave me the info on the project and the deadlines they forgot to mention that they were already making certain accomodations for the kidlet based on his special needs (being allowed to type instead of handwrite in the classroom is written into his IEP because of his dysgraphia, a pretty common problem for autistic kids) so he is only doing one draft instead of two which means he doesn't have the same due date for the project.
So now I can relax a bit and focus on trying to survive tonight and the kidlet's class's recorder concert. >.<
(It's only cute if you don't have to sit through the hideous unmelodic screeching that always occurs at elementary school concerts.)
But until then, let's see if I can do some catching up on the PBP. :)

Tybalt Baneko |

If he likes playing an instrument you should definitely encourage it. Band is great and gets better the longer you play. I hated the recorder but there are alot more options than that. I play trombone now and I love it. Music brings a lot to the life of a child. :)

He loves playing an instrument, but he has trouble with concerts and even practices that are extra loud. He has very sensitive hearing. He does great when he practices at home, but struggles in a group setting. Which is why I had to spend so much time at home teaching him how to play in a less stressful setting.
They get to do actual band with better instruments than recorders starting next year (he'll be in fifth grade) so we'll see what instrument he picks. Children being as contrary as they are, he'll probably pick one of the brass instruments since those are the only ones I don't know how to play and won't be able to help him with. :P

Bit Short, compered with the fully stated up Teacher and the post I feel coming telling us all the superpower-full things he can do and how none of the students (or even teachers powers) are able to counter him.
Sorry Dave hehe, just could not resist, I know you will not be doing that, but Lynora's teachers have most of them a mass of back story, I have been working hard to get Rosa to have something like, That's what I meant with States really do not count with teachers its more making them interesting people. If you see what I mean.

This is true, if Rosa is not there the Mase of madness is always there waiting for you.
How do you know where the center is, You don't yet, no Student dos, wile you always find a room that has some that blocks your progress in some way, yes. What it is and how you get past it, is down to you.

Sax sounds like a good fit works well on it's own. Reed instrument. I'm going to take an educated guess and say you played clarinet? Just a helpful suggestion one band kid to another.

I don't need a backstory because they'll never find me
Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!
Tybalt Baneko |

i did clarinet :)
I've know you for around four years and I never would have guessed that nor have you ever mentioned it before.

Salis of Bletherad |

I myself am currently trying to introduce what Salis is about to other characters. His back story, though long even when condensed, isn't really important as what kind of things he is good to turn to for. If nobody knows what to turn to him for then he's just a name used in a class that would not be an exciting RP.

What so you know me for four years thats suposed to make you some kind of expert? XD
I was pretty good too, but the case was old and it would open while I was carrying it, and thus it broke and I had to switch to chorus, which I am/was quite good at, at least in comparision to my classmates)

Tybalt Baneko |

It's just odd that it never came up in over a thousand days of knowing you. Especially since I talk about band sometimes.

David.De'Foul |

you know I don't think I have actually heard more than 2 or 3 sentances in a row from you about band before, most of what I hear about that I hear from Adon, who has in turn heard from you, so its not as suprising as you would think

Tybalt Baneko |

Time doesn't mean much here if she were ignoring you there'd be a post to say so Lyn has been busy lately so the later is more likely.

Lang Fei |

couple things after catching up on the discussion:
1) Lyn, those unmelodoic concerts mat sem like horrible music, but as a parent it will one of the most memorable events in you life and mean a good memory. I event went to see my son in the school play against his wishes and brought all the grand parents and half the church just to see him. He got mad but I could tell he was glad we came.
2}Salis, Lang considers you a go-to teacher for almost anything even if you are not an expert at it. one thing Lang does not have is a Father figure at this school. Sun really doen't count as Sun would be more like Lang's best friend.
thanks for your time and attention.
