Lyn, was there any additional posts in the Del Sol house, after Ardiente said that Chara could be a great storyteller one day?
....no, because I planned out the post while I was doing something else and then completely forgot to actually type it up and post it. Sometimes I wonder how it is I manage to masquerade as a responsible adult....and then I remember that I don't do that very well... ;P

Fair. Every time somebody watches Steven Universe, I always tell them to withhold judgement until Episode 26. If you managed to watch through that an still dismiss it as a cute and funny show and nothing more, I won't dispute your decision. HOWEVER, if you haven't, watch episodes 25 and 26. The first half of Season One is incredibly weak plot-wise, as pretty much everyone in the fandom agrees, because it's nothing but world building and foreshadowing. However, the second half of Season One after Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem kicks everything into high gear, and deals with such light, fluffy issues such as:
-Consent!
-PTSD!
-Self-Worth Issues!
-Some Cosmic Horror, If You Look in the Right Places!
-Mental and Physical Abuse!
Also, on a lighter note:
-Non-Binary Gender Identities!
-Lesbian Relationships!
Things basically keep rolling plot-wise at a steady pace from the end of Ocean Gem, with only a few filler episodes here and there.
Seriously, when you get the chance, if you haven't watched Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem yet, watch them. If they don't grab you, I won't push you any farther, but it's the definitive turning point for the series.

Here are episodes that you might not have watched in Season 1A, but are very important later on. I would suggest taking a look at them after you've watched Mirror Gem//Ocean Gem, so that you can decide whether the series is worth your time or not, but here they are:
Bubble Buddies: Introduces my favorite character, period.
Steven's Lion: Introduces another important character.
Giant Woman: Introduces a very important concept.
Steven the Sword Fighter: Introduces another very important concept.
Lion 2: The Movie: Very important foreshadowing, introduces key locations and a key object.
Rose's Room: Introduces an important location.
Coach Steven: Elaborates on an important concept.
Monster Buddies: Foreshadowing for way, waaaay down the line, and quite important.
An Indirect Kiss: Introduces an important power.
Serrin Surya |
Just a heads up regarding Serrin:
She's spent the vast majority of her life locked in her room, save for when she snuck out to steal books. She's trying to be more outgoing after he talk with Umbra, but she still would much rather be alone, with her books, more often than not.
In other words, people are going to need to drag her out of her shell, and force her to do stuff, at least for the time being.
Actually intend to work on a ten minute background for her, just haven't had the chance yet.

Lol. We've all been there, DK. Or at least I'm pretty sure we all have. *checks to make extra sure that no copies remain of gargoyles fanfic I wrote in college* :P
Fanfic gets bashed a lot, but honestly it's a great tool for improving your writing skills, and there's nothing wrong with that. :)

Writing about Lyzzie's eating habits amuses me. Since she's half angel, half dream creature Lyzzie can just as easily eat her body weight in pancakes or survive on nothing but air for long periods of time with no real difference to her. Yet she's absolutely horrified at the idea of not having sweets available, like the child she is. :P
lynora |
she'd be one of those people who would tell you that the four main food groups were "candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup"
Lol. A little bit this, yeah. Her adoptive mom made her eat healthy growing up, but no one is making her eat healthy now, so its' all sweets all the time. Much like what happens to many college students during their first semester away from home. :)

does anticipate teleport (normal or greater) work on champion teleportation?
I want to say that the warning part should still work, considering that that it takes a full round action to teleport but the delay part might not work
either way, wanted to check-

Can I please get a link to what you're referencing, because a quick search of the pfsrd reveals no power, feat, spell etc that goes by that name

I absolutely did not catch that the first time I read that post.
I'm just gonna call rules light on Jasper's unintentional wish granting since he doesn't have a diamond on him, and I can't find a spell that summons magic objects.
It's fine. As long was you don't go crazy with it, I'm not gonna call foul. :)
And I hadn't realized what id done in that post until this morning when I realized this was going to end in tears. :P
But realistically it was only a matter of time before she slipped and forgot to edit her figures of speech...

Nala asked the most simple on it's face yet complicated question to Ryuzo.
It implies a few things, that honestly he'd be a little offended or irritated by.
I had 4 or 5 completely different responses typed up, then realized he'd simply ask for clarification. He promised he wouldn't uses his abilities on her, and he won't, but player is really wishing he hadn't promised that :P
So, that's why it took 2 days to answer, only to have a "why do you ask" response :P

lol. Poor Nala! She's trying so hard to figure out how to do this healthy relationship thing. :P

Thanks. Yes, you can learn the spell, but no it has zero effect on champion teleport, which totally bypasses this spell entirely.
lynora |
oh wow, even the detection aspect?
huh.
ok, still learning the spell, but hmm
would dave know it wouldn't detect champion teleports?
Patrons have good reasons to find even the detection aspect undesirable. :)
And he'd pick up on the fact really quick once he starts playing around with the spell.Kryzbyn |

Indeed! Ryuzo doesn't really have a clue either.

Had an incredibly amazing Sat, meeting two of my all time favorite wrestlers(Hall and Nash, for those curious).
Today was utterly ungood. I accidentally boarded the wrong train on my way back to my grandmother's, but no conductor checked my ticket, so by the time I learned it was the wrong train, I was headed to Rhode Island, instead of still being in Ct.
Thankfully the woman on the train(likely a conductor), was super nice and helpful, and wrote me a 'free pass' basically to go back from RI to Ct. Course, once I got there, the train to finally take me home was an hour late. I was originally supposed to get home around 3pm, but ended up getting in around 9:30.
A very dear and good friend of mine kept me company via FB messenger, which I am beyond grateful for! Without her, I would have been utterly bored and probably kinda crazy(ier, lol).

Glad you had a good time and got home safe, even if it was with some detours along the way. :)

Do all firebirds look like phoenixes? Or is there more variety in their bird forms?
As far as I know, most do, but those who are more unusual may look differently.
Igni glows a bright blue, instead of red.
Vis hasn't shown it yet, but he glows a dull white and glitters slightly.
