Still recovering from yesterday's migraine. Kinda like having a hangover. :P

Anyhow, I will try to get posts up tonight, but I realized that I have to go back and read some old posts to move some stuff forward....I hate it when I forget minute details and have to go digging for them later...

As someone who deals with 'tinnitus'* on a regular basis....I think this definitely affects his alignment. XD

*My 'tinnitus' turned out to be actual real noises and not ringing in the ears as it's traditionally meant. I hear slightly better than the average person, which means I perceive sounds that are not audible to most others. This leads to fun moments when I start complaining about the high pitched whine from the refrigerator that nobody else can hear and other 'I'm not imagining it, I just have more sensitive ears than you do' moments. This also meant that for years they thought I had an ear disease that it turns out I don't actually have. The good news is that I'm not losing my hearing after all. So that's something. >.<

Edit: On the bright side, you know I can really play out how this is going to affect him very realistically :P

That's part of why I went that route. I know it's against type for him, but he's about at his limit for stupid, petty behavior after the events of the last 2 weeks (^-^)

My other option was to have nanites start moving along his skin so he felt like he was covered in spiders or something. Heightened elven senses aren't always an advantage, after all >)

Agh! I hate it when I catch stupid mistakes that I've made. Like mixing up Ginni and Lyzzie's breakfast menu. I know it's a little thing, but I'm working hard to keep these things straight, darn it! Lyzzie likes pancakes, Ginni prefers waffles, and they both eat waaaay too much sugar because angels and demons have similar nutritional needs....I may have put too much thought into this.... ;P

Also sorry for not posting yesterday. For some reason I wasn't getting the x new notifications. Probably accidentally hid the threads when I was groggily checking the site in the morning. These things happen.

And I'm sorry it took me this long. Planning for a youth retreat at work, so things have been crazy, and Kevin's post kinda felt insurmountable at first, but sorta flowed when I got to it.

Sigh. And now posts from me will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm on mommy duty since the kidlet woke up with stomach troubles. After an hour of administering medicine, lullabies, and calming advice, I'm spent.

So dang tired. Kidlet and I both came down with the same nasty stomach virus last night. All I can say is I'm super glad we have two bathrooms...

Now let's see if I can get some posts up while kidlet is in karate class

That may end up being a cool tie-in to Ghalen, as his dragon knight ritual seems similar to the effects of the stone...

We left Ryuzo and Nala enjoying their lunch. But we can have them go and talk to Krays now.
Ryleh and Havel are more likely to ask after that stuff once Havel has brought the actual stone. Ryleh would want to consult several people about how the thing works.

I'm spending mine at home by myself while the kidlet and his dad are going to a barbecue and to set off fireworks. Because I got hurt at the lake on Sunday (It involved a vicious attack floaty shaped like a giant duck). And then last night when we went to see the DSO concert/fireworks display I got hit on the head pretty hard. I was putting the cooler in the trunk and the trunk lid fell on my head. Got me right on the forehead. Luckily it didn't break the skin, but boy oh boy do I have a headache. Proving yet again that there is no situation I can't make worse. ;P

It's all good though. I'm having an introvert party all by myself. The best kind of party! :D

I've spent a few 4th of July or New Years Eve, playing WoW, cuz they have in game fireworks, so I know the feels of being all alone, yet still having a good time :)

Out of sheer curiosity,

Are there any concepts that lack a patron/champion? At least as currently revealed in game?

I don't mean like how it seems some of the ones whose champions recently fell have yet to get a replacement, I mean more like are there any concepts that aren't in game at all yet, but could be?

Not that I'm looking to make another champion PC, or even run a patron, but since the very idea of patrons/champions fascinate me(as well as remind me of the cosmic beings in Marvel, as well the heralds of Galactus), I'm just wondering if there's any others that could/might 'join the party' so to speak.

I think Faith is the only patron that hasn't made any appearance at all yet. It's in the works, but not happened yet. Everyone else has at least made a brief appearance at some point.

Magic, if you want you can have Lim-Mor run into the group again as they're traveling across the grounds since he'd be in the general crowd here. Or not. Whichever. :)

They all have a sort of equal but opposite as well. Light/Dark,. Death/Life, Creation/Destruction, Deception/Knowledge, Mercy/Wrath, Hope/Faith, Luck/Fate, Dreams/Madness, Love/Pride, Fear/Courage, Freedom/Justice. Time/Balance is a bit more of a stretch but actually works when you realize that Balance is by nature static and time is always moving. It's why they couldn't have Balance around when they were working on creating Kronos 2.0. A lot of the patron interactions are informed by those natural dichotomies as well as their always shifting alliances. :)

Sometimes it's really hard not just giving stuff away. Almost let spoilers slip in that last post....^.^

For many of these, it's not opposite the way we think(Like life/death, dark/light), but rather a more philosophical opposite.

Pride can easily be taken to the extreme of caring and loving only yourself.

Pride is also a deadly sin for a reason.

Pretty much this. In the case of Pride and Love it's the difference between a focus on self and a focus on others. But remember, neither patron is all good or all evil. Love can be just as toxic as pride and pride can be just as wonderful as love.
In some ways the opposites are the best at opposing each other and cancelling out the ability of the other one, but at the same time they are often like opposite sides of the same coin. And while they are all repulsed by their opposite, that doesn't necessarily mean they have a bad relationship with them. Life and Death are perfectly cordial, aside from the occasional barbed comment, as an example.

Secret messages are automatically understood by the intended target, provided you make the DC(which is only 20 for complex messages).

The check is to make sure the escorts, and any others, are either unable or have difficulty, being able to intercept and understand the messages.

If I were to do this, I would likely try to incorporate their gimmicks/nicknames into their builds.

For example, Kenny Omega is the 'The Cleaner', so he would be a slayer, with the cleaner archetype, and probably bounty hunter, since that plays into wrestling.

Karl Anderson has the Machine Gun moniker, so gunslinger.

Devitt has always worn facepaint of various comic characters, and has the 'demon' persona in WWE, so he would be a synthesist summoner.
