Blergh. Turns out I was not loopy entirely because of medicine, but also because I was feverish. Stomach flu suuuuucks. :(
I can post up a basic primer on Laeren for the benefit of Fei, Ace, and Lim-Mor since all of you guys would at least know the basics of how to behave. It had slipped my mind that I had not shared that info, so apologies for that and thanks for bringing it up. :)
It's cool if you want to have an interaction with Fei and Dara before we get started. Sorry if I sounded impatient last night. I get a wee bit manic when I'm running a fever, and I was working on setting up all the background stuff for various things, so I was in checklist mode. The good news is that I got all that done while I had all that frantic energy, so now I can relax a little. :P
Don't worry about it. We'll just say Fei spent his time leading up to departure in the Library - some of if actually getting the data he needed, and most of it keeping Dara entertained while Sadie was working. (^-^)

Is that still something I need to worry about?

Don't worry, I wouldn't spring something like that on you without advanced warning. :)

Is everyone else that's going in the room already?

"Ace" |

Sorry, was traveling/busy all of yesterday, will be posting shortly.

Fuzzy head today thanks to allergies. So I'm just going to run down the list to try and remember what everyone is doing since I'm having a hard time visualizing it.
Aananda: Bed-rest + making lesson plans for basic mechanics
Alev: Hanging out with Elektra, waiting to find out what will happen to her father
Andromeda: Goblin market. Think she was the last post in that, but not sure.
Asha: Finishing breakfast with Sil. I think she went last in the conversation. Unless I misplaced a post. Will have to look.
Bradley: Dealing with mixed feelings in his usual spot on the roof
Chara: Making cookies
Dennis: At work.
Elektra: Waiting impatiently for word about her dad. Has been given a scrying mirror to watch proceedings because of likelihood of her losing it if she was there in person.
Ephebe: working on various projects, mostly to assuage her guilt over [redacted]
Etain: With Alev and Elektra
Fieri: At the firebird camp
Ginni: afternoon hanging out with Ace
Ignace: Making cookies
Jaiye: (out of sync time wise) heading to equinox festival
Janie: In a basement practice room
Jeran: trying to decide what to do with his day off
Jiminy: Spent the early morning getting the factories back up and running, on his way back to the school
Keme: playing outside with Alys and his gramps and also Serrin
Kitty: showing Michael around Nishioki
Miss Jones: working on something in her classroom
Morrivan: discussing the room change with Melody
Nala: relaxing with Ryuzo
Nanami: home visit with little sis
Ori: some light gardening...
Pan: I have no idea
Phaedra: heading outside for a game with Lang and Cindra
Pyra: getting a much needed nap
Raelle: being embarrassed about showing her control freak side in front of her boyfriend while making cookies
Ryleh: finishing up a good cry
Sadie: in the library with friends
Sorchan: firebird camp
Talysmyn: talking with the new girl. pretty sure I had the last go in that conversation or it just petered out naturally.
Tamina: hanging out with Dom for some much needed relaxing time

"Ace" |

Tween my being sick, and my busy weekend, I opted to just focus on Ace, to get that plot moving.
Will post for my other PCs tonight.

lynora |

No worries, guys. I know it was a busy week. :)
I really was just trying to organize my thoughts because I couldn't remember who was doing what where, and when I went to update the game I had a mental meltdown. :P
Not that I'm complaining about suddenly getting more posts. More posts are good. :)

The shoes kinda work like the non visual part of the Chameleon Circuit. You just don't see anything that you recognize even though it's there.
That's the only explanation I can come up with for Cinderella, unless the prince had short term memory loss.
Loved the Stardust reference, btw. One of my favorite books/movies, even if I did experience them in the wrong order. One of few movie adaptations I'm happy with.

lynora |

Glad you appreciated it. :)
Stardust is one of my all time favorites, and of course I had to pull in some references for the goblin market. I also saw it before I read it. I went to see it in the theater the day after my mom passed away, dragging my friend who never went to the movies with me. (Never ask me what you can do unless you're prepared to follow through ;P). I just needed some time to not feel sad so I could get through that week, and the movie totally delivered. Which is why I'll always a little bit prefer the movie to the book.

♣♠Magic♦♥ |

I saw the movie before I read the book, and it's always been one my family and I loved. I was really excited when I got to read the book for a mythology paper, and even more so when I found out Gaiman writes for Doctor Who, which I had gotten super into between movie and book.
If that had actually been her on the perch, you'd better believe Jasper would've popped the chain. :P
I figured that was where the reference ended since you didn't mention the chain and it wasn't a bird.

Alright, before I get too wound up making more and more posts, I need to go to bed. I'll have some time to post at crazy early o'clock in the morning anyways while the boys are practicing. They have their awards ceremony tomorrow where they get presented with their black belts and there are a series of demonstrations and such, so it's been lots of rehearsals all week. So time for sleep. Or attempted sleep. It's like two hours too early to be tired....darn this living in a time zone that doesn't match my internal clock! *shakes fist* :P

lynora |

Got to use a Drejk designed monster and find a good way to trigger An's super speed. Win! :D
Trying to gather enough mental resources to write up another installment for the firebird camp. I wish I had brought more coffee, but the travel mug wasn't big enough for the vat of coffee I needed to get through this morning....

lynora |

That's true, but I'm taking about Rise of the Guardians and How to Train Your Dragon crossover slashfic levels of cringey writing I was doing for him before. X3
Though it is a little odd that they're also Dragon Guy and Ice Curse Guy with a Crook Staff, now that I think about...
This made me giggle. :)

lynora |

So here's the chattier version now that I'm less sick. :)
*staggers into thread*
Ugh. It's been a rough few days.
We went to the zoo on Mother's Day, which was awesome. But I kinda overdid it. More than kinda. I was totally wiped out by the time we got home. And to add to the discomfort I actually got sunburned through my clothes. Apparently my shirt was too thin to provide proper sun protection....yes, folks, I really am that pale....
Anyhoo, on Monday I was pretty much up to laying in bed with occasional trips to the bathroom and that was about it. Not too uncommon after overdoing it so much. We got dinner out and I figured I'd feel better the next day. How wrong I was. As I was getting into bed that night I fainted and woke up a while later in a puddle of vomit. More vomit ensued. It was super gross needless to say. Thankfully I was able to reach my phone so I could call my husband to come and help me clean up the vomit and get off the floor and into bed. (We have separate bedrooms. It's just what works for us.) I felt so bad having to get him up in the middle of the night when I knew he had an early flight in the morning, but the alternative was sleeping on the floor next to the vomit puddles, so....yeah...
So Tuesday was basically spent throwing up and sleeping. By the end of the day I was able to keep down a little bit of bland food though. So mercifully short illness.
Today I was still feverish and feeling icky, so slept through the first half of the day. But then I had to go grocery shopping since we were out of everything. And then cook dinner which I at least got to eat a few bites of before my stomach got upset. And tutor the kidlet in math because he has a test this week and didn't understand the material. And wash the dishes. Mommy duty kinda sucks when I'm not feeling well. But at least no more vomiting, so that's happy. Here's hoping the kidlet doesn't end up coming down with this too.
