Darin: I think what you attempted was fine. The doctor failed, which caused him (it?) to fail his check to tighten the restraint, which allowed the attack, etc..

Its almost exactly the same. The only real differences are the components and that we can 'undercast' them. You probably have seen this but I'll link it anyway.
The main thing to keep in mind is the components. They are entirely mental actions and can be used while grappled and all that. So if you want to keep Darin and I from casting don't put us in a silent area, cast fear on us.
So you and I are the ones most likely to go grab him Andulian. Unless you get in trouble, or just want me to help, I'll probably continue doing what I'm doing.
Just an update to all my tables: I'll be traveling this holiday weekend and absent for most of the time. Can't steal on an AoO, just so ya know.
No AoO's through the bars. I'll allow people to stick an arm through to try and do something (or tail), but the bars are effectively a type of soft cover (+4 AC, no change to saves).
I'm wondering why nobody else tried anything though. Even if you don't want to get into melee with the doctor, the guy on the table is close to escaping from his bonds. Etc, etc.
I'm "delaying" to see what Petr and Dukes do.
My plan was to continue summoning Razia, she can just waltz out of the cell.
Since he was unsuccessful in his attempt to grab the keys I will change my mind. I hadn't thought about helping the fellow on the table, how close is he to us?
