Projected into the z direction (up), since Campus isn't a flat 2-D square, this suggests that Campus can attack up to 30' in the air (without jumping).

Making my head hurt with this one...in essence I think I agree, but I would argue the effectiveness of such an attack in real life terms. I'll give it to you, but the point would be moot, as you'd miss - AC 18. And, it'll be moving in next turn, so hopefully we don't have to think about it after this.

Does anyone have a good source for flight rules in combat? The tactical movement is making my head spin. Definitely not well versed in it, and we're going to see alot of it in the future
I've honestly just used the rules under the Fly skill. It works pretty well once everyone is well practiced in them.
Re: attacking flying creatures in general - if they swoop down to attack during a round, are they fair melee game that same round? I'm assuming so based on Ulfric's latest sword attack where I followed suit.

That looks correct (using Quick Draw for the draw portion). Also, as a move action, I also did move slightly more than the 5-foot step on the map, though I could have just done that it appears. Re: free actions, do you have a limit to how many can be done per turn?
Generally, no...though they leave it up to GM discretion.
