Not gonna lie, other than sitting back and waiting, I've got nothing. Channel energy might hurt it if its a haunt but I don't know if it is or not.


Yeah, apart from trying to attack it again, I'm out of ideas. If that's truly the only path forward, we're kind of stuck without more direction. *hint hint*


GM Nayr:
While looking at the map you provided, I see doors that appear to exit north of the rubble n the north sectors of the map. Are we aware of this door? Or is it secret door accidentally revealed by the map? I suppose I have similar questions regarding the chaplain's storage room.


Sub:
There are doors at the top end of the big map that go to the east and west, but the rubble beyond those doors to the north is impassable. The chaplain's office has a small storage room with a bed, but nothing beyond that. Let me know if unclear.

Strange Aeons is definitely cool in this aspect - you have no idea what this thing is - aberration, undead, other? You did feel as if you damaged it, if only barely, at one point. Then, it started biting at you and all bets were off.


Well, we haven't tried hitting it repeatedly at a distance. Maybe we should do that and see if it reacts or if we can kill it safely that way.


Campus would be enlarged for 1 minute or 10 rounds. Based on AC 10, she is most likely to hit 7 times, dealing an average of 13 damage per hit (ignoring possibility of critical), subtracting 10 harness, means 3 damage. 3 damage time 7 hits = 21 hp damage. Will that be enough? I kind of doubt it. It is a wall. I have a 50% chance of getting a 20, maybe, and 70% chance of confirming that...so like 35% chance of some more damage...

Probably best if others are attacking from a distance if they can. Would be silly to get hurt if we don't have to.


We should attack it, and see what happens. But while we should remind ourselves of the things we've collected.

Wow. Yeah you need a composite bow so you can add your strength bonus.

What about what Ramul/Zektolna suggested with the mirror? WHile I wanted Campus to get all womanly and bash the wall down with muscle, his idea seems to have merit...

Q: What would happen if we placed the mirror in front of it?
A: It would see what it has become.


It's worth checking, probably. I'm not sure just outright killing it is what th AP intended for us to do, but then creative solutions are usually a bit unorthodox. We should probably wait to see what all your attacks did to it. It could be dead at this point.


With hardness of 10, it seems killing with direct force is kind of hard.

Just realized/remembered that hell in the Pathfinder setting has nine layers. I'll just chalk it up to Ramul having no ranks in Knowledge (planes). lol

I think Artemis might have been the only one in the party capable of identifying magical items. That could be an issue going forward...


Yup, think so...could try Spellcraft checks. Or, keep in mind that he's still in the "camp" with Winter and could be that resource for you - just stockpile your goodies and identify when you head back.

Hello everyone,

I have been a player in another of Nayr's games. Following a leave of absence this summer, I've returned and asked to join this game, and GM has kindly allowed it.

Luckily, I already have a character concept created for Strange Aeons, and have participated in no less than two failed SA games on the boards. While I haven't read any of the material and am fairly clueless about the plot, I do have the benefit of understanding the amnesia element and the situation the party finds itself in upon waking.

Note that although Cerio has a background story, he doesn't remember any of it, and so GM can use any, all, or none of it as he pleases.

What i'm currently lacking is crunch. Cerio was originally built as a spiritualist, but it looks like we could use a full arcane caster, so I'm pulling together a Void-Touched Sorcerer at this moment. In addition to introducing myself, I want to confirm the character creation guidelines. max hp and gold, level 1, 20pt buy, and 2 traits, one campaign.

Hmmm Varinder sounds delightful :).

I made some minor adjustments to build, choosing extra spell as FCB and swapping in magical lineage (black tentacles) for non-campaign trait.

Alright, I guess I'll use a move action to move over there and a standard or move action to push the ladder over to one of the creatures to attack next turn. I'll just use my last rolls for the attack and damage next round, if that's okay.


Campus's attack assumed she could move within 10 feet of a rat.
