Yeah, thanks, hope the same for you all too! Sorry for lag as well, today is the first day of my 3-day vacation and my mind has been all work (not counting the last-minute extra prep) this last week :/

I was thinking of coughing on the Tatterman a couple times too, maybe that will help :)

Wondering - since Ulfric's initiative is after mine, is it possible to administer a healing potion to him (e.g., pouring into mouth) this round?

Unless we are playing with a rule I have forgotten about, no amount of healing will make me wake up at this point. I'd need smelling salts or to wait an hour.

Let me know if I am incorrect.


Healing that raises the dying character’s hit points to 0 makes him conscious and disabled. Healing that raises his hit points to 1 or more makes him fully functional again, just as if he’d never been reduced to 0 or lower. A spellcaster retains the spellcasting capability she had before dropping below 0 hit points.

A stable character who has been tended by a healer or who has been magically healed eventually regains consciousness and recovers hit points naturally. If the character has no one to tend him, however, his life is still in danger, and he may yet slip away

I usually go with the first; that if healing raises you to 1 or more you are fully functional again. If you have a more specific rule that gives clarity, please let me know. Otherwise, I'm good with the potion giving you a system shock and bringing you back into the real world.

In my and my friends collective years of gaming, we have never seen that rule. I looked it up on AoN and will now share it with them so that we can stop playing on hard mode.

Ugh this is not looking good. Still, I'd rather he blow that natural 20 avoiding Cerio's spell than slicing T'eron.

I'm down to cantrips.


Well then. I guess all we have left is run!


And...you notice that his wounds have been constantly healing, save for the blistered flesh that Cerio damaged.


Go T'eron! Massive amounts of damage may be the only thing to save you now.

Uh-oh, looking back at a previous post, I had dropped my sword when I retrieved my bow closer to the northeast corner of the room. Looks like I'm going to have to move and retrieve it this round unless it's mentioned otherwise :(

Dang.

Okay, and you can sure use those rolls next round. However, if you're moving away from the Tatterman, grabbing your sword and moving back, then that would incur an AOO as you step away. You could take a restricted withdraw as a standard action, but I'm not sure if you can do that and also take a move action. Until I see differently, I'm going to say that you can.

That said, I'd be fine with Cerio kicking over your sword to you and you reaching down and picking it up; you could call out to him as a free action and then he can kick it over. But, I think that'd be a move action for T'eron to pick it up...like a draw action.

I did consider the AOO, figured it was the price to pay - but....Cerio kicking over the sword is a really great idea(!), I'm totally onboard with that (picking it up as a move action shouldn't affect my ability to attack either)

Wondering - as the GM, can you delete my last post?

There was only one swing as far as I can tell - second was just a critical hit check.

I'm not sure we can finish this. We are basically out of resources and the Tatterman seems to have fast healing. It may be time to retreat.

That being said, Ulfric won't leave. While the rest of you retreat to help the others prepare a defense against this creature, Ulfric would stay to hold him for as long as possible. It's just what he would do. Figured I would give a bit of an ooc blurb to go along with my in character actions.

Out of character, I love this! It's very fitting for Ulfric. Personally, I hate the idea of leaving a character behind.

That said, Cerio would be willing to flee. But there's a case to be made for Ulfric to run with us. Waiting for the creature to kill him is a lesser means of fulfilling his oath than returning to fight at full power. Ie live to fight another day.

But damn, that's a heroic way to drop the curtain.

Assuming we don't all die anyway.

It's more of a 'You all need this head start' than a 'I can not forsake my oath' moment. But only Ulfric needs to know that.

I remembered that 9-10 is the hidden shortcut, so immediately supplied the perception roll.
