Ahh ha... Now I have an idea how the pieces fit.

Woman Merfolk Barbarian 3 | HP 22/40| AC18/20 FF15 T13 | F+7 R+5 W+3/5/7* | Init +3 Perc +5

It's hard to find avatars of merfolk, let alone barbarian merfolk... in fact, there's only one specifically mer avatar at all!

Fortunately, avatars rarely show the lower half ^^

Prepared for fish out of water puns?

I think the rp for the merfolk in this scenario is interesting, but I admit I find it hard to visualize melee...

Thought I might make Varinder an Unchained Rogue, if that's OK. The Knife Master archetype still applies. Did I read correctly that we're using the Background Skills rule from Unchained as well?

Almost the opposite- she was raised by human barbarians, so she'll act like her being on land is normal to the point of others going 'wait, what?'.

Though there *will* be a lot of 'work your tail!' type puns ^^

Picture movement like a naga with a really short tail. A lot of core muscles for bobbing and weaving in place of footwork. With the occasional tail-slap against the ground for larger movement- there's a lot of muscle in that thing.

Cleric of Cayden Ferocity & Exploration Lvl 4 | HP 24/30 | AC16 FF14 T12 | F+6 R+4 W+6* | Init +8 Perc +5 | Mv: 40'

LongSpear wielding Human Cleric of Caiden (Strength and Travel Domains). Still need to flesh things out.

Looking good guys; yup, mrA, you san go with unchained rogue. BG skills are fine

Half-elf Kineticist 3 | HP 16/32 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | F +7 R +6 W +4* | Init +3 | Perc +9

With Sub playing a cleric, it looks like we'll have a very well rounded team. It will be interesting to slowly peel back the layers of our memory loss. Should be pretty unique backstories (courtesy of the GM) about how we all wound up in the asylum together.

Awesome; I think I should be able to get a starting post up later today, so we can start getting into a groove. Feel free to post/reply as you can; I know we all have different schedules, so it'll be hit or miss until we get a good look at everyone's rate. If ever you see it to be too fast or too slow, please let me know.

I got most things together for Campus. I'm still thinking on some of the backstory...even though it won't be immediately relevant, and more importantly, her personality.

Looking good; nice mix of front line and divine

Do we begin with our equipment? Or is it shades of Shackles?

In the current situation, you have your beginning equipment.

Just awaiting our barbarian and our scholar, then we'll move along

Woman Merfolk Barbarian 3 | HP 22/40| AC18/20 FF15 T13 | F+7 R+5 W+3/5/7* | Init +3 Perc +5

Oh yes, Klassalka ready ^^

Half-elf Kineticist 3 | HP 16/32 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | F +7 R +6 W +4* | Init +3 | Perc +9

Hey Klassalka,
I think he's referring to posting in the gameplay thread. (You may already know that, but figured I'd mention it just in case.)

Campus sees Klassalka, but Klassalka may not yet be aware of her new surroundings.

Oh, no I did *not*, I am bad at noticing such things and hadn't put a watch on that thread yet ^^

..nevermind

Klassalka will take the party into more consideration shortly, I'd say she's half-aware of the others, she's just focusing on the 'threat,' or fear, first.

If you actually say something to her specifically it'll catch her by surprise a bit.

Hi All, I thought I'd share a little about myself wit the group.
I'm a working dad living in sunny California, involved in neuroscience research. In RL, I never had a chance to do roleplay, but always wanted to. After jumping on a deal to get a bunch of Pathfinder pdfs, I was delighted to be given an invitation by GM Nayr to some of his other campaigns. Since then I've really enjoyed the opportunity to write creatively and I look forward to posting. From what I see, I think this will be a fun and diverse group. Cheers, -SubiculumHammer

Thanks for sharing Sub. I'm a working father of two on the other coast - North Carolina. I'm a project executive in the construction industry. I love AP's and the slow unveiling of an excellent story. Glad to have such great writers to make them come alive!

Next round actions, please. Initiative order posted to the campaign tab

Welp, Mr. Apollinax. That was probably your shortest campaign ever.

Half-elf Kineticist 3 | HP 16/32 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | F +7 R +6 W +4* | Init +3 | Perc +9

He put up a good fight, at least. Also, it's cool to hear where everyone's from. It's still neat how the internet can bring together people from across the country. Also, GM Nayr, I currently live in North Carolina as well. Maybe the world's not so big after all.

Wow. Just, wow.

I'm from New Zealand btw. Working Dad in Dunedin in the South Island. Do I invent a new person or sit this one out?

Just hang tight for a bit, all will be revealed...

Awesome Ramul; hope you like it - I'm on the beach side of Wilmington, right by Topsail Island.

Sorry guys, this AP takes a bit of trust in the GM and story. Bear with me a bit, its worth the madness

I'm keeping the working dad theme going here. I live in Massachusetts.
I've been RPing for a while face-to-face and online but this is my first PbP. Pretty excited.

I really enjoy reading (and weekly attempt writing) Fantasy Fiction. Not so much of a video gamer anymore as the few hobbies I have time for don't share well with others.

There's the question of whether he's dead-dead or 'just' at negative XP.

Or it's just a mind mess or who knows what...

Im sure they are all dreaming or having a shared hallucination. I have never felt such temptation to peek at a spoiler.

I figured it wasn't all over for my little friend Varinder...

Yeah, I love it. I'm in Wake Forest. I've been out to the coastal area a couple times and have family in Wilmington. Great place.

Side note...what does everyone here use for mapping in PbP? Google slides? Roll20? Something else? I'm planning on running an adventure myself pretty soon...

I just use google maps, but I don't get really time to get in depth and detailed. Not savvy enough either. I heard roll20 is great, but may be more for real-time use instead of pbp.

You mean google docs I think.

Half Orc Oath Bound Paladin 4| HP 34/34| AC 19/11/18| CMB +4| CMD 15| F +7| R +4| W +7| Init +1 Per +7 | LoH(1d6) 0/3

Sorry for the delay. The last two days have been busy readying a baja for competition and I keep getting asked to run around and find stuff for it. Should be better next week though.

Yes, sure do, thanks Sub. Swear I'm not going senile yet. I use google docs, which has drawings, files, etc all together. I use the drawings portion for maps, you can load nearly any image you can find - its really easy for old dogs like me who don't get along well with new programs.

Np at all Ulfric, I honestly had you pegged for running based on last round, just haven't had a chance to post yet either.

Half-elf Kineticist 3 | HP 16/32 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | F +7 R +6 W +4* | Init +3 | Perc +9

Well, Klassalka, it was an honor to fight by your side. (By your tail?)

Elodin, I also used to use rptools.net with some success. It can be a pain to transfer to a url at times, but I had it down to a science until my laptop was stolen and all my tokens and map files with it.

Likewise, sorry I got us killed :)

Half-elf Kineticist 3 | HP 16/32 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | F +7 R +6 W +4* | Init +3 | Perc +9

Nah. I was the one who charged in. Though you did get the bloodier death for some reason...

Woman Merfolk Barbarian 3 | HP 22/40| AC18/20 FF15 T13 | F+7 R+5 W+3/5/7* | Init +3 Perc +5

'Cause I'm badass, clearly I was the bigger threat ;)

Half Orc Oath Bound Paladin 4| HP 34/34| AC 19/11/18| CMB +4| CMD 15| F +7| R +4| W +7| Init +1 Per +7 | LoH(1d6) 0/3

@GM Nayr, I would've ran if the others had followed, but they decided to make a stand and fight and going with the group is generally the best way to live.

Np Ulfric, I wasn't sure if you'd ve running this round or not.

Cleric of Cayden Ferocity & Exploration Lvl 4 | HP 24/30 | AC16 FF14 T12 | F+6 R+4 W+6* | Init +8 Perc +5 | Mv: 40'

Ulfric and Campus are holding out together.
