Hey Klassalka, what archetype are you using for your barbarian? I've never seen the +4 str +4 dex rage before.

I am trying walk the fine line between assured and overbearing with Ulfric. If I drift to far to overbearing please let me know.

Seems fine, and fitting to me; I would expect an Oath Bound Paladin to act in such a way - so sure of his own path that anything outside of it barely deserves notice.

Savage Technologist (though with GM approval, bow stuff replacing gun stuff).

Still a lot of emphasis on melee, it's just with a ranged option and I like the more agility focus and higher defense.

I haven't pre-planned a precise build.

It wouldn't have been the first time GM Nayr introduced a new player character without a heads up :) Last time he did,the character introduced himself while invisible just outside a ghoul tent; actually I thought it was GM Nayr making an alias for a new and important NPC! My character almost put an arrow in him, once he appeared himself. lol

Definitely; I guess I could cheat and find an avatar that's close, but I feel like I'm not being true to the AP. I'll try and find solutions as we move on...in all 3 games of course;)

Just realized we were using background skills when I was looking through Klassalka's character to see what she's good at.

I updated Ulfric with K(Nobility) and Linguistics, learned Aklo. Given Ulfric's history of chasing down aberrant creatures, being able to speak to and interrogate them would be a good skill to have I thought.

@Campus - It looks like you missed out on BG skills too.

Basically you get 2 points per level in not-very-adventure-focused-skills like craft, profession, linguistics, the least-relevant knowledges, etc..

This is from about half way down the first dscussion page when we were character building. I double checked after seeing that Klassalka had them.

Of the aquatic races, Merfolk are fully amphibious, i.e. they aren't one of the ones that need to refresh water a lot, and between strongtail (the racial option everyone picks) and Barbarian move bonus, I've got a move of 25', faster than someone in medium armor. Though I do look to improving on that, that I'm a bit slower is why I went for an archetype that helps ranged.

So mechanically, I'm set, dealing with lack of water is going to be an RP thing, and even then, more a comfort than a dire thing.

Two questions- will we be using background skills, and would taking a disadvantage to gain an extra trait be an option?

Yes, you can use BG skills, though given the initial amnesia, you won't know how you got them...sort of a cool RP element. I'm good with the extra trait, but only 1 campaign.

Have we tried a knowledge check on this eyed wall?
We have determined that there is evil in it, in some way.
However, we do not know if it is a demon, or a construct, etc. I can prepare a detect demon spell. That would provide some information.

However, what Campus would like to try is to cast Sanctuary, and then use her door sight to look to see what is on the other side of the wall.

I did not do a knowledge check though I should have since I have K(Dungeoneering) and it is most likely an aberration. It may be a demon or construct but I don't feel like it is.

I suggest that campus wait to cast sanctuary until talks have failed. No point in wasting the spell.

Actually I just realized that Sancrutuary might not provide enough time.

If seeing through is something actually useful to do then it might be tried adjacent or perhaps in the south easter room.
