Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Will we use the same map for now? We could really use a Druid too...
"Let's get in position ladies! The Captain wants monster crab for dinner...again!"

Rhialla "Buxom" Blackwater |

"Alright, might have another trick up my sleeve that'll have us only having to fight one at a time!" Rhialla says looking at the massive crabs.

Look your captains rugged good looks and charisma can only attract so many hot gals.. now you want to add a rugged hot druid lady to the mix :P

Cassiopeia Nereus |

Cass shrugs and says, "Might as well use the same opener." She starts summoning another water elemental.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Moving up, Ashlei yet again triggers her new magic Rod.
Rod of Wonder: 1d100 ⇒ 13
*11—15 Deludes the wielder for 1 round into believing the rod functions as indicated by a second die roll (no save).
Interesting!

Suddenly a bunch of the water disappears? Or a big rock?

Hating to be upstaged by the wizard, Ashlei wrenches off a small orb from her necklace and tosses it at the large reddish crab!

Fireball! - Reflex DC14 for Half!: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) = 12
Necklace 7d6 5d6 3d6 (Reflex DC 14 half)
NOTES: This item appears to be a string or cluster of spherical beads, sometimes with the ends tied together to form a necklace.(It does not count as an item worn around the neck for the purpose of determining which of a character’s worn magic items is effective.) If a character holds it, however, all can see the strand as it really is—a golden chain from which hang a number of golden spheres. The spheres are detachable by the wearer (and only by the wearer), who can easily hurl one of them up to 70 feet. When a sphere arrives at the end of its trajectory, it detonates as a fireball spell (Reflex DC 14 half). -- If the necklace is being worn or carried by a character who fails her saving throw against a magical fire attack, the item must make a saving throw as well (with a save bonus of +7). If the necklace fails to save, all its remaining spheres detonate simultaneously, often with regrettable consequences for the wearer.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

She's still throwing it, and she's still aiming at the big crab in the center.

Cassiopeia Nereus |

Please raise the water elemental behind the crabs. Once Ashlei throws her fireball it'll move into a flanking position.

Rhialla "Buxom" Blackwater |

As one of the giant crabs grabs hold of Percy, Rhialla steps forward, her eyes aglow with golden light as she utters a spell, calling upon the intensity of the noonday sun blazing down on a desert isle as she raises her palm, unleashing a brilliant beam of searing light that strikes the crab with sizzling fury.

The party can now act. Two more swarms have emerged from the sands due to the many tremors and shouting.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Seeing the swarms of giant crab-lings trying to flank the group, Ashlei curses and turns toward the group nearest and closes to them...

Handwave the last swarm. It's not going to really trouble anyone.
No loot sadly. You are at 'L' on the map. What are you doing now?

GM_DBH |

You pass through the thick jungle as the slope rises to a a higher elevation, around you can see signs of logging having taken place, but judging by the overgrown state it has been years since this happened.
You reach the heights to find:
M. TREANT PRESERVE
Stands of giant palm trees grow more prominent in the hills here, many reaching abnormal heights of seventy feet or more to tower over the surrounding jungle.
A coconut zips past your heads at cannonball speeds, hurled by a palm tree shaped Treant, one of a pair who clearly do not like intruders. The other seems to be animating the surrounding trees.
What are you doing now?

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Ashlei curses and laughs as she dodges a coconut! She points, tears of laughter coursing down her face.
"Can we talk to them? Tell them we mean them no harm? Such creatures would make excellent lookouts and vassals if we can convince them of of possible friendship, and mutual needs are involved! Hells! They might even thank us for ridding the island of the remaining Cyclops!"

Rhialla "Buxom" Blackwater |

"That's a damn good point, Ash. Want to see if you can charm them into talking? I can give you a little extra of a shot that they might find it hard to attack before you say your piece." Rhialla asks her fiery crewmate, giving her an entertained grin.
Esme's got the highest Diplomacy, but her player's dealing with a lot right now. Ash you're next highest. I can cast Sanctuary on you before you approach. Might keep them from hitting you at range before you can talk to them

Esmarelda Valarie |

I do...? *Checks everyone else's sheet* How... Why... Well alright then! XD
"You want the lady known as, Burnout, to talked to the... tree?" Esmarelda asked Rhialla with a sarcastic smirk coming over her face before chuckling a bit.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Snorting in more laughter, Ashlei nods.
"My abilities are generally limited to talking to dead people I've killed and setting things on fire! Those are not skills that lend themselves of making friends of talking trees!"

![]() |

"No you sass just fine as well. I think it would be lost to the treefolk over there though. DO you think they understand common?"

Rhialla "Buxom" Blackwater |

"Worth a try!" Rhialla says with a shrug, stepping over to Esmaralda and resting a hand on her shoulder to provide a blessing of protection.
Cast Sanctuary on Es. DC 14 Will save to attack her.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Snickering, Ashlei tries to offer encouragement...
"Make sure and tell them we like bark and leaves...as friends! And...squirrels! We LOVE squirrels. Trees like squirrels...right?"

Esmarelda Valarie |

"We'll see if I end up crushed... Again." Esmarelda teased before she moved to be able to see the walking tree.
"Woah now! We don't want no trouble!" Esmarelda called out to the creature.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

GM_DBH |

coconut: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Another coconut whips past Esmarelda's head, missing by a hair.
"Tree killers! You are not welcome here. Leave and do not return!"
You can now see that there seems to have been attempts at logging in this grove, which explains the very hostile response.
It seems the Cyclops tried to log here. What are you saying?

Esmarelda Valarie |

"Not tree killers! Not us!" Esmarelda called as she waved her arms. "We killed tree killers! The ones with the big single eye!"

GM_DBH |

After a bit more back and forth you reach agreement with the Treants. It is basically neutrality for now. They are happy you have taken out the Cyclops, but don't trust people and want to be left alone.
A few more years of peace and they may become more agreeable, but there is little here to tempt visitors anyway.
Unless you have Druids or hippies in your crew.
Where to now? N, O or P?

Cassiopeia Nereus |

"Neither druid nor hippie, but if I can get my hands on a scroll of plant growth maybe I can do them a favor sometime. For now, I'll take detente."
Unless there's a pressing reason to hit another location—and I don't think there is, or we'd have done it already—shall we tackle them alphabetically?

Esmarelda Valarie |

"What about getting tree feather tokens? They're fairly cheap and permanent." Esmarelda pointed out. "Might win them over?"

![]() |

"Topless hippy communes might be a selling point for the idland... we can just get the annoyring ones to camp here.
He grumbled glad that ended relatively peacefully. Tree feather tokens might be an interesting idea.'
"Got any old Wizard friends looking for an isle to build a tower in Cass? I might be able to offer really good terms in rent."

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Alphabetically works! Also, I have two Swan Boat feather tokens, and I used to have an Anchor token. Couldn't afford a Tree or Bird token when I started in this game, but they are definitely my favorite magic tokens to have. They are fairly cheap and quick to craft if you can make Misc Magic Items. Which brings me to my next thought...I'm thinking of multi-classing soon, but I'm unsure what class to go into. Her Cha is excellent, so Sorcerer or Bard might work. But she has a semi-decent Int and Con too. So depending on what the GM would allow, Kineticist (Fire) or maybe Alchemist (Bomb specialist of some sort...). If I push the Min-Max button I might try the spell-casting Rogue type too. I don't know what sounds the best/most fun. Please PM me guys if you have a suggestions?

N. SEFINAS GROTTO
The sound of singing echoes among the rocks along this sandy beach. Footprints lead from the shore to the bay, where crystal blue waters provide a clear view of a deep pool and grotto below.
"Oh hello!" a musical voice greets you happily, "You're new here aren't you?"
What are you doing now?

Cassiopeia Nereus |

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (16) + 19 = 35
"Greetings," says Cassiopeia pleasantly. "We, ah, arrived not too long ago and are just enjoying the natural wonders of the island."
She is way more naked than I was expecting.

Ashlei 'Burnout' Mamoud |

Ashlei pouts and narrows her eyes.
"HOW do you do that with your hair? Is there some sort of glue involved? Doesn't it hurt to take...never mind. Whatever...Who are you young lady? Hmmmm? You don't happen to be related to lady in the well we rescued?"

Cassiopeia Nereus |

Cass prods the captain to say something. Usually he has a quick quip for a beautiful woman, but this one may be too unexpectedly nude even for him.
