The cough I had weeks ago has lingered, I think I pulled a muscle in my ribs a week ago coughing so badly. Yesterday while coughing it went again, in exactly the same spot!
I found out even with a voice turned gravelly with coughing I could still scream in a high pitched voice from the pain. Every move was agony and I crept around the house hunched over like Gollum.
Happily there exists the wonder known as anti-inflammatory's and I'm now floating on the euphoric sensation of not being in pain.

We now have a couple of options as we capture the ship.
Regular Crew: With their surrender: Offer them to join us, or we drop them off on an a deserted island to try and survive on. No need to kill them outright since we offered/they asked for and we offered terms. There is a code...
Ship: Keep or sail as part of our 'Fleet' and start calling our captain 'admiral.' Or sell it at Rickety's Squib for some profit or upgrades to our ship. I believe we already have one ship there we need to make a decision on too?
As for the leftover equipment...
Plenty of magic armor to go around. I already have some. The rest of you should focus on upgrading your AC if you can.
Yeah...the +1 dagger is the only real thing I would be interested in.I might take a +1 buckler...maybe.
All the normal weapons should be placed in our ship's armory for the crew.
NOTE: If we can't/won't wear some of the magical armor, then we sould gift some of them to our important NPCs.

What my other party does with captured ships is this.
Give the surviving crew an offer to join yours.
If no then release them in their ships boats an hour or so from the coast with some water and a few weapons. Letting them make their slow way back to a city.
Once news gets around that you don't slaughter surrendered crews others tend to throw up their hands faster.
Keep the ship for yourselves or sell it. Any standard sailing ship sells for 5000gp.
The Sanbalot is a Schooner, so she's a light, fast trader. Very light on the armament which they tried to get around by having a Manticore. :)

I'd say the schooner maybe sell for upgrades, whereas heavier armed ships we can add to the fleet. And yeah the whole, we don't murder captured crew who surrender, will definitely be a pretty good recruiting tool when it gets around.

From my end, I'm cool with Ashe keeping a cloak, the amulet and/or the ring.

I like this - it is a good idea.
I would say we could keep a second ship if:
- their crew and cap accepts to join us, or
- if one of us would 'proxy-captain' it? ;)

Depending on how many sailors wish to join up we will keep the prize ship to sell. I agree i would prefer our ship to be a bit more upgraded before we start to work on other ships.
I am in agreeance with you all, I am not about to murder sailors in cold blood, I would prefer the word get out that if you surrender you live.
Everyone gets a cloak whom doesnt have one, I've no need for the amulet I have one.
Ashe feel free to take the ring and the amulet if no one else wants the ring, You tend to do crazy things like i do, and better saves and armor might help :)

=) Actually you should take it, the +1 probably makes a bigger difference in the damage for your throws than it does for my stabs/sneak attacks.

It depends...I already have a magical Starknife. Do you have a magical dagger at all? Do you use two-handed fighting with your daggers? I don't. So if you have to fight a creature that requires a magical weapon, it is best that you have at least one, if not two if you do two-weapon fighting.
IN the end however, I won't argue if I can keep the +1 dagger.

Yep, I already have a magical dagger. The difference in also wielding one in my offhand is minimal (+1 damage if I hit). You can keep it ;)

Okay crew, where are you sailing to sell your ships? To Rickety's and trading for upgrades? Or to Senghor in Sargavia, which has the advantage of being a metropolis. So selling the ships gives you gold for shopping.

I say upgrades. Sailing is a major component of this game and we should have at least some basic upgrades (I'm unsure if we have any yet) if this is intended to be our only ship for a while. I realize Squib's is not the ideal, but it does have the advantage of being closer than Sargavia. That's a long voyage past the Maelstrom. Right?

We captured a pair of +1 spiked gauntlets from earlier I thought. I could have sworn we split those since there wasn't much else for you or me.
I kept it as kind of a back-up...but I don't need it now. Maybe someone else has it? You can trade/sell this one if you want.
