Tomorbataar whips out his handy four poster bed, setting it on the ground and fluffing the sheets before getting into bed. He then gets out of bed, remembering that the staff is still in his mouth. Tomorbataar places it delicately in the bed, resting its head on the pillow, and then curls up at the foot below it.

Waking up, Tomorbataar discovers that the staff has fallen, and picks it up quickly and nervously. After a quick inspection he places it back on the bed. Yes, but such magic would do us bad, since then we wouldn't feel the need to eat, and we'd starve. Best to catch some more prey. Saying this, Tomorbataar looks for a smooth rock, placing the staff on the rock, then lifting the bed back onto the body. It really is impressive how he lifts it, taught muscles straining, without thinking to ask for help.

Tomorbataar votes to go hunting.

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

You hunt around for a little while, until you stumble across a particularly large snake. It's hiding under a log and hissing at you. You don't think you could quite grab it as-is, but it's sizable enough to be a good meal if you can figure out a way to get to it.

Ninja Head | Init: 8 | Perc: 10 | AC: 28 (t 17, ff 21) | F: 6, R: 16, W: 7 | ki points: 2/9 | HP: 63/63

Why could we not get to the snake? Does the log seem too heavy to lift?

Battle Board Area Maps Hydra Deity Level 20 All Classes

It's a pretty heavy log. It'd probably take three of you working together to lift the whole thing, though just one of you might be able to lift one end enough to get at it. Of course, if it's venomous it might bite whoever's biting the log. Did any of you have Knowledge (Nature) now that Dru-Head is gone?

Hungry notes that this snake is a non-venomous constrictor.

He also notes that, while it's quite large, since it's a snake, he could probably swallow it without chewing.

I agree with Zip. Let's knock off the log and trample it to death, then it'll be easy eating.

Tomorbataar votes to move over the log.

Battle Board Area Maps Hydra Deity Level 20 All Classes

Seems like there's a consensus there

You barrel towards the log and... well, kick it, basically. The log rolls over a couple of times, too uneven to go very far, but it does uncover the snake.

Said snake bites your foot, which kind of hurts, but definitely won't save it.

"You look delicious!"

Ziphora fires a waterjet at the snake, to kill it first. 'Maybe we can have barbecue snake?' She thinks to herself. "Look guys, I think we can have snake on a stick, if we do this right!"

Yeah I don't want to use lightning, otherwise it'll char...

Don't worry Beachhead, I know how to get undead funk off of you. Just go to the nearest river and keep scrubbing until you feel better. Easy as pie.

Tomorbataar observes Ziphora's cooking, watching her cook the snake a little bit too much. Nah, it's your best work yet, nice and blackened.

Tomorbataar votes to return to the humans.

Is something stupid enough to mess with you?: 1d100 ⇒ 97
What is it?: 1d6 ⇒ 4

About mid-day, you hear an odd triple roar, and look up to see a winged creature with three heads--one leonine, one draconic, and one rather like a goat, of all things. It's nearly as big as you are, and it's diving towards you!

Tomorbataar: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Ziphora's water jet blasts the beast's chest, and it growls in anger and pain... and then Tomorbataar and Beachhead strike. Tomorbataar feels something in one of its heads crack beneath his chin, and Beachhead finds a major artery in one of its necks.

It staggers to one side, its three heads voicing a chorus of confused pain, then collapses, its lifeblood pumping out onto the ground.

Knowing about magical beasts is Knowledge (Arcana).

As he surveys it for possible undead-ification, Hungry *does* notice that the chimera looks quite tasty.

Of course, most everything does to him.

You're pretty sure chimeras are 9-HD creatures, though they're also usually not this large... this one might actually be 11 HD.

Ziphora eyes Hungry dubiously. She wonders if it is a good idea to turn the Chimera bones into soup...

"Mo! Bring the firewood and start a fire!" Ziphora orders imperiously, then gets the barbeque started, over hickory wood chips, while judiciously pulling random plants to sprinkle over the carcass.

Profession cook: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

"My best yet. Slightly charred on the outside, deliciously juicy on the inside. Come on guys!" Ziphora shamelessly promotes her culinary skills.

"We could probably use the bones for soup tomorrow morning...or anyone wants the marrow?"

Tomorbataar shakes his head slightly. What a fool. Looking over the rest of them, Tomorbataar observes that the body has not moved. Hmm...we didn't even move. Odd. Tomorbataar then holds his head up, looking around for other prey. Thanks Hungry, blindness was indeed a bad spell for it to succumb to. Are its eyes still any good? Tomorbataar eyes them with disdain.

Tomorbataar eats some of the chimera with glee, your best yet indeed. Tomorbataar avoids eating the eyes, but otherwise eats with quite a bit of obvious pleasure. Doesn't Hungry want the bones? Anyway, we've got more important things to do...

...like rehearse our flying kick. Come on guys, on three, we all jump. One, two, three! Tomorbataar does his best to urge the body upwards.
