Ziphora |
"Hey no....what's all about all this god of death stuff? We can talk things out! We still have some owlbear back there, you can have it if you want? We could be friends!" Ziphora calls out to the Ogres.
Tomorbataar |
The gods of death? Nonsense, not with a voice like that. You claim to be of a high purpose and mighty nature but I see that you are nothing but a worm. A worm! ]
Tomorbataar votes to move towards the voices.
Come now, do you all really think that they should be allowed to boast, and to swagger, and to call themselves of a higher station than they are? I think that they ought to be punished for such an offense, for by calling themselves gods they have seriously insulted the true gods. Tomorbataar begins to wave his head in the air, as if shouting to the heavens, and only occasionally glances back at his siblings now. We must bring death to them, and they will feel it, and know before they die that they were wrong. Then we can tell people all about what we do with those who try to step beyond where they ought to!
Dru-head |
But Tom, you say you're in charge of stuff you arent all the time. Ill bet, when the giants notice us, we can try to... uhh. Hmm. Maybe they can share the land with the humans? Dru says as more of a question. Looks like he genuinely wants to introduce giants that call themselves "god of death" and squishy meatbag humans to each other.
Dru-head votes to go to the clearing as well.
The Hungry One |
Half to himself with a small smile and fighting a cruel chuckle. "Whelp, this is going to be interesting, to say the least."
Loud to the giants, "Ön zárt a sorsa!"
Hungry votes to go to the clearing.
Tomorbataar |
No, I'm actually in charge of those things. Like negotiating, who we decide to fight, what we do and don't eat, where we go...lots of things.
GM_of_the_Heads |
You lumber forward into the clearing. On the other side of it, you see two giants, with piles of rocks next to them.
"Hé, ez egyike azoknak a vicces sok-a-fej dolog!" the first says.
"Az utolsó nem beszélnek ..." The other says.
"Lássuk, hány fej növekszik, mielőtt meghal!" The first says, raising a stone to throw.
The other one looks doubtful, but also raises a stone.
Initiative!
Blockhead: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Dru-Head: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Hungry: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Morheads: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Eidolon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Tomorbataar: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Ziphora: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Giants: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
So... everyone except the Eidolon goes before the giants XD. The battle map has been updated. Go ahead and post your moves!
The Hungry One |
A large grin crosses Hungry's face. "They definitely don't wanna be friends, everyone.
With a flowing incantation, Hungry launches a small red bead that flys through the air and detonates in flames between the giants. Reflex for half damage Fireball: 6d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 6, 4, 1) = 20 Also what knowledge skill would be used to find out about them?
Ziphora |
"You know, I think our negotiations would go better if you stopped throwing fireballs at everything you saw." Ziphora says crossly.
Knowledge local: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
"Why am I living with a bunch of murderhobos, again?" Ziphora sighs, then joins the murderhobo squad, using her extreme range on the ogre on the left.
Lightning blast(touch AC): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Dmg: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2) + 6 = 17
The Hungry One |
That's what I thought but last time for the trolls, who are also Giants, it was Knowledge (Nature) so I was unsure. untrained Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
"I don't think any amount of talking is or was going to stop them from trying to kill us, Zip."
GM_of_the_Heads |
By the rules, it's Knowledge (Local), but I've never thought that made a whole lot of sense. So I asked for Nature earlier. I'll let you roll either. But in the case of these guys, everything there is to know about them you can see right now--they're big (bigger than the trolls by a bit), they're stupid, they throw rocks, and they have big clubs.
Blockheadd |
Ya know, for a while there, it actually looked like we were going to resolve this peacefully... Until Zip started chucking lightning, at least >_>
Oh well, at least we know who to blame for this!
Blockhead just sort of watches how this one goes down. Hungry seemed to have negotiations down pat, and he doubted he needed to offer much, at least not until Zip tries to fry them with lightning.
But now it looks like a scrap is going down and he is very interested in greeting the giants with a headshake.
Blockhead votes MAX SPEED FOWRARDS!!!
In his enthusiasm get there quicker he wraps his neck around a nearby tree and tries to drag the body forward just a little bit faster :)
GM_of_the_Heads |
The left giant shouts and dodges to one side slightly as the fireball explodes, resulting in him getting somewhat less singed than his brother. He still takes Ziphora's blast of lightning straight in the face, though.
Still waiting on Morheds, Tomorbataar, and Dru-Head to post actions before finishing the round.
Dru-head |
Awright, here we go. Dru-head casts Aqueous Orb. Even if he cant spell it, the giant on the right has to make a reflex save of DC 18. If it fails the first, it must make another, or be engulfed in roiling waters.
damage if save is failed: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
Dru-head will pull it towards him if the giant is engulfed.
Tomorbataar |
Come on, come closer. Let me see you prove that you're a real god of death, eh? Tomorbataar strains at the edge of his range towards the giants, then, satisfied he's moving towards them, is content to sit ten feet from the edge of the body and wait until they get closer.
Blockheadd |
Ya know, I just checked and apparently I can drag up to 1500lbs... >_>
GM_of_the_Heads |
The giant on the right shouts in surprise as the orb forms around him. He's buffeted by the waters but manages to dive aside before it entirely engulfs him. Failed first save, made second, took 5 nonlethal damage.
Morheds casts Haste on your body.
"Hé! Ez fájt!" One of the giants shouts, and throws his rock at Hungry.
His rock goes wide, sailing way over your heads. The other giant takes a moment to aim, and his rock clips Hungry, but is deflected by his magical defenses.
"Lát? Jobb vagyok! The other giant triumphantly declares.
With Haste and your urging, your body charges forward, covering the ground between you and the giants in one round. Body took the Run action.
The Hungry One |
"HA! Nagyanyám is dobja jobb, mint ti ketten, és ő meghalt!"
Hungry gnaws hard on his bone while muttering incantations. Hungry activates his bonded object and casts fireball again.
Fireball (Ref 1/2): 6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 5, 3, 4) = 22
Tomorbataar |
Tomorbataar raises his head up high into a striking pose as the body charges forward, being blown slightly back by the unexpected speed before recovering and readying once again. As they near Tomorbataar he juts his head forward and down, striking at the giant to the right.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Blockheadd |
So melee range? I can attack something?
With his head still wrapped around a tree and getting stretched further and further behind while the body lunges forward... Soon there is only one logical conclusion :)
The thing known as Blockhead finally releases from the tree and shoots forward with great velocity, and right into a stone....
So I am going to rage, charge (if your ok with that) and attempt to sunder the big stone that the left troll is holding. Cuz why not :)
Blockhead lets out a roar as he flies forward ROAAAAAHHAHAAGGH!!! that is as unintelligible as it is loud.
Sundar!: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Boink!: 1d8 + 12 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 12 + (3) = 21
Self: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Damage: +4 Str, +1 Enhance, +4 PA, +1d4 Vicious, +3 Destructive
-4 AC for Rage and Charge
CRAAAAKKK!!!!
Blockheads neck goes limp as the reverberations are felt all down it and into the Hydrabody itself.
groaaann...
GM_of_the_Heads |
The two giants are ready for the fireball this time, and dive aside as it explodes, getting only mildly singed. Tomorbataar's strike, however, elicits a grunt of pain from the right giant. The other one stares blankly at the crumbling stone in its hands after Blockhead's strike.
Just need Dru-Head and Ziphora to post--sorry that I didn't make it clear it's a new round.
Ziphora |
"Guys, more Zip!" Ziphora hollers as she electrifies all the heads around her.
Celerity, for 1 round haste on everyone.
Votes for body to stop, NOW
Tomorbataar |
So does Tomorbataar.
And also, if I have haste I get an extra attack, because Zip's first in initiative, yes?
Power Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Blockheadd |
Blockhead votes FULL SPEED AHEAD! Ramming speed infact :)
Next/new round. Lost track of which one we are on :/
Blockhead reels from his own blow (apparently ramming your head through a chunk of stone was a bad idea. Who knew?) And his vision is all blury.
woaho. Me head is spinning. Why is there, uhh, there is.. One. Two. Three, uhh. Five? uhhh.. Lots?
Ya! Why is there lots of yous?
Then Blockhead has a briliant idea Lots of you means moar food!
with his fool-proof logic Blockhead sets out to tenderize his next meal.
Bonk!: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 1 = 27
Bash!: 1d8 + 9 + 1d4 ⇒ (4) + 9 + (2) = 15
Self: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
side note and question. Haste does not work on natural attacks, just manufactured weapons and unarmed strikes. Tomorbataar did you start up and are you using Archon Style?
+1 To Hit, AC and Ref for 6 rounds
Blockheadd |
Pssst! Zip. What is after five? I forgots!
Tomorbataar |
Yeah, using Archon and Dragon style, as always. Standing next to me and the right giant will give you +2 AC and let me intercept blows for AoO goodness.
GM_of_the_Heads |
side note and question. Haste does not work on natural attacks, just manufactured weapons and unarmed strikes.
Actually, according to the SRD, "When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. " So natural weapons are valid for making an extra attack with Haste! As such, do you mind if I count that attack as occurring at the same time as your previous one?
Blockhead's second strike hits home. Meanwhile, Morheds and Dru-Head try to bite the giants.
Morheds: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Dru-Head: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Morheds is completely ineffectual, but Dru-head manages to nick the one near him.
Clearly badly injured, the left giant shouts, "Ne egyél meg! Egyél bátyám!"
The other one shouts in incoherent rage at his brother before lifting his club and trying to whack Tomorbataar. He strikes Tomorbataar right on the head. He deals 24 damage
The Eidolon then lashes out at the giant.
Bite 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 plus 1d6 bleed
Bite 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 plus 1d6 bleed
Bite 3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 plus 1d6 bleed
Tail: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Only one of the heads manages to hit, nicking him for only a bit of damage while your body comes to an ungainly stop.
Ziphora |
"More, more, more!" Ziphora chants manically as she releases anothee electric discharge through the heads.
Celerity, haste 1 round, and ya Blockhead, after 5 is 6.
The Hungry One |
"Nem kapod el, hogy könnyen!"
Chanting ominously Hungry is wreathed in simmering lights which he releases into a hydra-head shaped missile towards the fleeing Giant. Hungry casts and activates Snaphydra Fireworks. Fire Dmg Ref 1/2: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Dru-head |
You guys like rocks too? Dru-head casts Stone Call. Howling into the sky, he drops boulders on the fleeing giant, surrounding him within 40 feet with difficult terrain. Also:
Bludgeoning: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 damage.
Tomorbataar |
Tomorbataar grunts and spits blood right in the giant's face. You deserve death. Time for you to die quick like. Then he reels his head back and strikes twice, the first blow falling from a great height. The second, lower, has less power.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Power Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Realized that I don't get the 1.5x str bonus or power attack from dragon style on my second attack. Such weak.
Blockheadd |
Blockhead stretches his neck backwards once again, and then thrusts it full force towards the (left) Ogre, only to find empty air and a craned neck.
Only then does he open his eyes and realize that his "punching bag" has fled.
Disappointed and angry (and completely focused on the one Ogre, momentarily blotting the other from existence), Blockhead scoops down and grabs a good, Jaw sized rock and sets his long neck straight backwards, closes one eye...
...And then, just like a catapult, he arcs the stone high up into the air and right down on top of the Ogres general vicinity...
What goes up...: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Must Come Down...: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
6 BAB, +1 dex, +1 haste, minus whatever range penalties @_@
1d8, +4 Str, +1 Battle Scavenger
While the rock managed to sail far, no one could have expected THAT to happen...
Ya. This is moreso a token throw then anything ^_^
However, at least Battle Scavenger takes care of the Imp Weapon penalties >_>
also, gave you a hook, have fun with it :)
Haste: +1 attack, to hit, AC and Ref saves for 5 rounds.
GM_of_the_Heads |
Blockhead's thrown rock plows right into the magical rockfall summoned by Dru-Head. Somehow, it manages to richochet off of the other stones perfectly, through a long chain of bounces that ends only when it plows into the giant's face, felling him just as Hungry's firework explodes around him.
Tomorbataar's first strike hammers hard on the other giant, but the other hits some of the disgusting furs he wears, and Tomorbataar's instinctive shying away from their filth robs the blow of any power it might have had. Morheds then tries to nip at the giant.
Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Hasted Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
He doesn't manage to hit, however.
The remaining giant, eyes wide with fear, backs up a few steps. Withdrawing He drops his club and raises his hands.
"I surrender! No eat me! I do what you want!"
Tomorbataar |
You surrender? No surrender for you, we must kill you! Tomorbataar swings his head at the giant, straining to reach him.
Tomorbataar votes to move after the giant.
Ziphora |
"He's surrendered. That's enough, guys. We don't need to eat him." Ziphora says firmly. "We turn him over as a prisoner of war to the humans. They'll know what to do with him."
[b]Ziphora votes to turn the ogre over to the humans, and votes for body not to move./b]
Dru-head |
Turn them over? They know this is our territory now. The humans are ours. If the ogres do anything to harm them, then we should kill them. The squeaky wheel gets the grease after all.
Dru-head votes to let them go.
Blockheadd |
Ha! I love it :)
Blockhead watches as the first rock crashes into the Ogre with a grim satisfaction. Then the next rock. And the next.
Huh. he mumbles out loud, I didnt know I threw so many rocks.. Why I surprise even myself!
Only afterwards does he clue in that there is another Ogre in front of them (he had forgotten). Oh! Look! theres another one! See guys see? He indicates vigorously towards the other Ogre (that everyone is already looking at >_>)
Oh? Are we letting him go? Well just a minute here.
Blockhead streches out his neck towards the Ogre as far as it will go, and then takes in a big SNIIIIFFF!!
Okeys. I gots your scent now. Wherever you goes, I can finds you. You eat Umans, I finds you. You eat US, I finds you. You cross our paths... I. FINDS. YOU.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 (add in any modifiers as you see fit)
Unless you bring tea and crumpets. Den we ok :)
I decided to let Blockhead get it right this time :/ Figured that would be better for the story.
An I want dat club. Im hungry...
Blockhead reaches down and starts to chew viciously on the wooden club.
Blockheadd |
Vote. Blockhead is not thinking much past this point. Hes not taking a vote.
Pst! Guys! Give me a little Aid Another help on this intimidate check?
Ziphora |
"That's the point. Besides letting him go, is there anything else we can do with him? If we turn him over to the humans we might be able to get something out of them for him!" Ziohora argues.
Tomorbataar |
But...but...he's the worst kind of giant; the kind that lies. That changes his mind when you show him how he's wrong, the kind that...that should die. Tomorbataar shakes his head, looking around at his siblings and over at the giant. I wouldn't mind a rew...no...we need to kill it.
GM_of_the_Heads |
The giant held up his hands, an expression of terror on his face. "Me not eat you no anybody! Only eat deers and things."
The Hungry One |
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Hungry glimmers as a brightly colored hydra head streaks and hits the Giant. Firework Dmg. Ref 1/2: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Hungry fires another firework
Staring straight at the fleeing giant, "YOU! GET YOUR YELLOW-BELLIED A** BACK OVER HERE!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
GM_of_the_Heads |
The hill giant... well, apparently it's possible for hill giants to squeak, because he does. Fearfully, he shuffles a couple steps closer, though he still stays out of reach of your teeth. He says nothing more for the time being, though his terrified expression speaks volumes.
Ziphora |
"Stop it, brothers. He's surrendered. Lets march him over to the humans so he can atone for his misdeeds."
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Dru-head |
Miss deeds? I don't have the best, uhh, rememory, but these two were just standing out here weren't they? Then Tom and hungry went to beat them up? We're here because of bear owls.
GM_of_the_Heads |
The giant nods his head eagerly. "Yes, me go with you to humans! Me do whatever you say!"
The Hungry One |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
"You actually have a really good rememory, Dru. 'Cause that's exactly what happened. And, oddly enough, I agree with Zip. We chould bring him back with us to the humans."
Hungry turns to the Giant in response to his comment. "I'm glad to hear that, because if you don't do what we say or try and run away we'll switch the places of your outsides and your insides. Got it? Good."
