Physical Appearance El is tall and willowy, the image of the Elven warriors of old. He wears his hair tied back in a no nonsense braid, bound to keep strands from before his eyes, so as not to impede his vision as he hunts. His back and chest are covered in intricate black and grey tattoos, each tattoo a significant experience and moment from his life. El dresses in colours best suited to blending into the surrounding, dull tones, greys and browns, seeking to remove himself from everyones field of view, till he wishes to be seen.

Backstory

”Filthy machines ruin everything, they steamroll our crops, tear up our lands. They ambush us in the wilds, they ambush us in our cities and they don’t even have the common decency to feel fear. They come for you in the dead of night, they come for you when the sun is high, they do not tire, they do not stop, they are relentless!” the Elven man spat through his teeth and took another swig of the whiskey he had been drinking.

”Mark my words, if we do not cut them down now, they will kill everything we hold dear. Our animals, our crops, our family…” His eyes linger on the stuffed toy sticking out of the top of his bag and he swallowed roughly before looking away. ”Too long they have been let run free. We need to hunt them down now, before you lose everything to them. For some of us, it is too late!”

El lived in happiness with his wife and daughter, working the fields of his small farm, hunting when necessary to find the meat they needed. His life was perfect, simple and everything he had ever wanted.

He still wakes up screaming with that horrible mechanical sound ringing in his ears. The day the robots overrun his farm, the day he lost his family, that was the day he swore an oath to clean the lands of the mechanical taint that had stained it for too long.

That or die trying!

@DarkestHeart: Did you try rolling? I mentioned later in the thread that since the rolling method is netting such large results that one was now allowed to do a 25-point buy so it looks like you have 5 more points to spend unless you want to try rolling.


Oh! 25? I missed that, sorry. I would try rolling but I'll probably not get the Stats I want. I'll give it a roll and see, but I will probably stay with 25. I might even change to Human for that extra feat, if it is 25.

GM, do you accept archetypes for Animal Companions? Was thinking of taking the Totem Guide archetype, though it won't have any effect till level 3. I've decided to overhaul the idea behind him a little. He will basically stay the same, apart from I am making him more Celtic / Irish in culture. Basically I am going to draw on the Ulster Cycle for the inspiration behind him, basically focusing on Setanta. So I may take a level of Alchemist later on.


Animal Companion Archetypes are fine.

What about human dialects as part of Int bonus languages? That's rarely ever mentioned, and they're never on the list; can a non-human character pick one? Not looking for anything unusual, just Hallit.


All humans start with Common and their ethnic language (unless Common is their native language or if they are mixed ethnicity in which case they only have Common plus one of the two ethnic languages). Other races may pick other human languages as well if their Int permit, otherwise you have to have afeat, trait or ranks in Linguistics to know them.

Is that written somewhere, or is it just a logical extension houserule? It makes little sense to me that one of those monkeys down in the Mwangi Expanse would speak Common, but not Polyglot; RAW though, as far as I know, unless they took Ling. that'd be the case.

Background:
Alyn Hasson half elf bounty hunter was born and raised in Kintargo. She learned her profession at her step-father's knee. He was a human bounty hunter, but he made a mistake during a job in Cheliax. He died, and Alyn had to flee the country. The Pathfinder Society agreed to help her, if she joined them. She took the deal.

She's a quiet average looking woman. Her nondescript brown hair is always pulled back in a neat bun. She tries not to be noticed. Being noticed isn't good in her profession.

I'm not too keen on using the KoP since it's not on d20pfsrd directly and therefore a little more difficult not only for me but others in the party to reference.

@CariMac - Exchange Agent? I'm afraid that Exchange Agent is not an allowed campaign trait for Iron Gods. It's for the Shattered Star AP.

Alyn Hasson half elf bounty hunter was born and raised in Kintargo. She learned her profession at her step-father's knee. He was a human bounty hunter, but he made a mistake in Cheliax. He died, and Alyn had to flee the country. She has arrived in Torch because technology has always fascinated her. She doesn't like Technic League's way of controlling the technology. She thinks it should be shared by all.

She's a quiet average looking woman. Her nondescript brown hair is always pulled back in a neat bun. She tries not to be noticed. Being noticed isn't good in her profession.


TawnyKnight here, here is my submission Tarkov, Tark to his friends, a Fighter with the Lore Master Archetye. I coincidently picked the Black Sovereign's picture for his avatar, so I've made him a possible bastard of the Black Soverign - who is apparently "lusts only for sexual gratification," so its probably not too implausible.

Background:
Tarkov believes himself to be a bastard of the Black Soverign, though he is not proud of the fact and does not advertise it. He was raised as a virtual vagrant by his mother Egeth, and would do anything for the strange addictive ichors produced by the Technic League - who fortunately was never willing to share.

Egeth died when Tark was eleven and he was reluctantly taken in by the owner of the flophouse in Chesed they had been staying in. Quickly sold into slavery, an elderly peddler named Unrush purchased him, but luckily his fellow Kellid was looking for more of a companion on his ceaseless travels than a slave.

Unrush treated Tarkov like a son, teaching him to fight and forge, as they travelled from the cities to the roving tribes, primarily selling weapons to their Kellid kin. A fount of knowledge, Unrush had even been a pit fighter in his distant youth, and in their years of travelling he imparted his skills and knowledge to Tarkov.

Unrush has just brought them to Torch Hill, proudly announcing that he had managed to get Tarkov in to use the town's famous flame. When he returned to show the old man the skymetal horse he had forged Unrush announced that he was too old for life on the road and would be settling in town, suggesting Tarkov could make good coin selling his sword.

Now some weeks later with the vanishing of Torch Hill's flame Tarkov is seeking companions to delve into the mystery, and hopefully find his fortune.

Description:
Tarkov is a hulking brute of a man with a jutting jaw, dark dense hair, and a heavy brow. His stocky build makes him look slow and ponderous, and he tends to move and speak methodically, making it easy to dismiss his as slow, in both senses; but his bulk is all muscle and when roused Tark acts with decisive swiftness.

With stranger's Tarkov is taciturn, and monosyllabic, but those who get to know him discover a thoughtful man who loves to learn and gives his friendship and loyalty easily.

Alright, here is Irnk's character attempt. After much consideration, I recalled that Occult Realms included a Psychic Discipline that has the potential to either mesh quite nicely with this AP, or prove grossly overpowered...

Much as I really wish I could try playing an Android Brute, it's just not in the cards.
